We've been stopping here at Mia's once a year while we are on vacation and find it to be the best pizza in the area! This time we decide to try something other then pizza and ordered a cheese calzone and a chicken parmigiana dinner. The calzone was outrageously delicious, overflowing with ricotta and mozzarella! The Chicken Parmesan was also yummy and smothered in the most delicious red sauce with an abundance of mozzarella . I only wish the cutlet was a little thicker as it was very thin and therefore was a bit on the dry side but even so it was very tasty!It came with a large portion of pasta, which was al dente and it was also served with a small garden salad . read more

One of best pizzas in town!! Far better than Pizza Jerks, especially is you like the thin NY style pizza with big slices.

Food is delicious. Down to the crust of the pizza. The owner is so kind and had my food done within 25 minutes.

This place is a nice little hidden gem, just a minute off the northway at exit 18. I've tried a slice, takeout pizza, cold subs, and the hot chicken parm all within the last few weeks. All were incredibly good. The crust on the pizza is thin with a nice chew; the bread on the subs is homemade and crusty and soft; the chicken in the parm sub is grilled and not breaded. I would prefer more chicken in there, but they might have a double meat option. Rare to find pizza by the slice in the north country, and it's excellent. Consistently delicious pizza. Ready in 20-30 minutes even when they're busy. Delivery is quick. Favorite pizza is Hawaiian - add barbecue chicken. One caution: they used canned mushrooms. I've had a lot of good and bad restaurant experiences but I don't write reviews unless it's exceptionally good or bad. I'm sad to have to write this review, but the owners actions today left me regretting every penny I've ever spent here. Today I ordered a large cheese pizza, a dozen wings with blue cheese, stuffed shells, 2 cannolis and 2 sides of blue cheese (in that order). The girl taking the order kept asking me to repeat what I said after each item was mentioned. When I was finished, I asked her to repeat the order back to me to make sure she got everything. She rattled off everything so fast I couldn't keep up. I figured she got everything, sense she asked to repeat everything at least twice. When the food got here there was a chef salad I didn't order and the stuffed shells were missing. Everything else was there. I called the restaurant and politely informed the girl who took my order that there was a mistake. I thought they may have given me someone elses food and maybe they had my shells at the restaurant. She put the owner on the phone who immediately became defensive and rude. At this point I realized the girl who took my order thought I said "chef salad" instead of "stuffed shells." It's not her fault she couldn't hear the order, but I would have caught the mistake if she had asked what dressing I wanted with the salad, but she never did.. which is weird because once we realized we were stuck with the salad my boyfriend opened it and it was literally drowning in blue cheese (as seen in the picture). Anyway, she got the owner on the phone and after I explained the situation he became short, rude and implied that this was my fault. There was no "I'm sorry for the miscommunication." No apology at all. I was surprised and caught off guard by his behavior. I get that times are hard right now but damn.. I've spent well over $1000 at MIA pizza and recommend this place ALL the time. I work in a restaurant too and when people ask me what's a good pizza in the area I always recommended MIA. I've convinced at least dozen people to try it. My husband and I are local, we decided we wanted a thin crust and greasy pizza and recognized that sometimes "Mom and Pop" shops have the best food around, seeing these reviews I was very excited to have a date night inside their restaurant! When we got in there, we ordered our food and found our way to the cleanest table we could find. The table was sticky, the floor was sticky,the adjacent benches looked like they had grease dripping off the bottom, cobwebs and Flys ALL OVER THE PLACE. I let that go and tried to enjoy myself while waiting for food. After a couple minutes, I went to use the rest room, it was HORRIFIC in there. The sink was brown and yellow filled with scum and dirt, the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in MONTHS! And caked in old urine. I honestly didn't even consider squatting because it was still way too close to the toilet. I sat back down to our table and was just looking around and thinking about how gross i felt even sitting there! We decided to take our food to go, We were I formed our food was ready and packaged to go, i look over and there was a young boy with his shoes on sitting above where the food was made and packaged for others.YUCK! We brought it to a local park and I took a couple bites and couldn't get the smell and visual of how dirty the restaurant was.It made my stomach turn eating the food from a kitchen I hadn't even seen. ( and quite frankly didn't dare to see) I am in NO WAY a "Karen," but I downloaded the app to make this review because, quite frankly, I am shocked that the state hasn't shut them down. I am a NY Pizza guy. This is the best NY Style North of the Mario Cuomo Bridge. The sauce was good and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. The crust was to die for. Sure the interior is dated, but I wouldn't call it dirty by any means. We ate in and had a pie on our table in less than 20 minutes and this was a Saturday during the Baloon Festival. My favorite pizza place in the area. The pizza is an excellent mix of cheese and sauce. Not too heavy in either. They have fresh toppings. All sorts of options for toppings. Not greasy. I've ordered extra cheese before and somehow it's not greasy or heavy but I got a ton of extra cheese. Wings are always crispy and cooked perfectly. Their garlic parm wings are to die for. My family's new choice as #1 pizza shop in the Glens Falls area. We've stopped in for dinner four or five times, and each time the pizza is outstanding. The crust is the perfect balance of crunchy edge to hold the slice by and soft and pliant elsewhere, the better to fold your slice NYC style. Excellent sauce that I'd bet the farm is homemade, and always a generous load of toppings, especially the most crucial one, the cheese. Our server has always been friendly, welcoming and helpful, and attentive despite the brisk pace of pickups that always seem to be popping in to take dinner home. I appreciate greatly that they have a non-cola diet soda in their cooler (Sprite Zero), as I get so bored of the usual diet soda option of cola, period. Finally, it's worth noting the cheesecake is not made on-premises but is from a local baker and it is out of this world, an absolutely perfect blend of lightness, cheesiness and taste. We've tried the pumpkin and apple varieties and they are amazing. Combine all this with a clean and informal setting, and Mia Pizzeria beats every other pizza place we've tried in our two decades living in this area. I would like to start by saying I've never been a fan of their pizza and I've never been able to pinpoint why. However, whenever my family has wanted to go here for dinner I'll still tag along. One day my family of 4 decided to go here for dinner. We had ordered 3 chicken parm meals, 4 drinks and 2 Slices of cheese pizza. To say we waited far too long would be an understatement. I understand we ordered 3 meals but there were countless people calling in & coming in to place orders all of which got theirs before ours. Never once was there an apology for the wait or a confirmation that we'd have our food shortly. Once our food had finally came, everything was lukewarm at most and bland. The slices however don't even get the satisfaction of being lukewarm they were straight up cold. After the wait we were all relatively hungry so to have food come out cold was disappointing to say the least. The server which I'm assuming is one of the owners/in relation to the owner came to check on us I had told her my slices were cold. She argued saying it was impossible because they were sitting on top of the oven the whole time... excuse me? On top of the oven? They weren't heated up? She ended up giving me slices from a fresh pie which tasted like heaven at that point because of the wait and how bad the previous slices were. Pizza was great! The best part about this restaurant was the service. We placed an order for delivery. One small item was missing from the order...it cost less than $3. I didn't call to "complain" or anything, but 10 min after the first delivery, a second delivery driver showed up with the item. It would have been so easy for them to ignore the fact that it had not been included in my order, but on a busy weekend night, they did the right thing and delivered it! Five stars for sure!
