I went to Tommy's Tavern + Tap in Edgewater and I've also been to the Clifton location, but this one might be my new regular spot. Ask for Ahijanae she was great and really knew her stuff. She gave solid recommendations, especially for the appetizers. I ordered the French onion soup and my friend got the wings both were really good. For mains, he had the hickory BBQ burger with onion rings and I got the bulgogi tacos with kimchi fried rice... OMG. That combo right there? Yeah, I'm definitely coming back just for that. Decent beer selection and a solid overall bar. The food is good with a wide variety of options, but my favorite is the pizza. The burgers are good too but I do not like the sauce they use. It's the same sauce they use for the sushi so it just taste weird on the burger, in my opinion. Just keep that in mind and maybe get it on the side or say no sauce like I do. They offer tasty desserts you don't typically find elsewhere. The space itself is large, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of TVs, making it a good spot for watching games or gathering with friends. There is plenty of parking, but sometimes that parking is a bit of a walk if it's a busy time but typically always find parking... rarely have to go to the underground parking lot. Service can be inconsistent, especially when it comes to larger groups or parties, which can slow things down at times. Overall, while it's not my top choice, it's a place I still enjoy going to and will continue to return to. read more

My family loves going to Tommy's. There is something for everyone at Tommy's. We have even celebrated few birthday dinners there. I love that Tommy's offers a lot of different options on their menu. My daughter loves the shrimp tempura. I've tried many different appetizers over the last year and they have all been yummy. I've even gone to a GNO here, and a work Happy Hour. I always leave Tommy's Tavern with a full, happy belly. This is one of those rare places where you can randomly select ANY item on the menu... and it will be tasty! I've been to three different locations and the Edgewater one is my go-to. It opened in June 2024 and I'm really happy that they've been successful and thriving since then! Tommy's is a casual restaurant/sports bar. The interior is huge with plenty of booths, tables, and bar seating. If you're a sports lover, you're in luck. The entire place is surrounded by TVs - perfect for football season. I've had no problem getting a table or seat at the bar as a walk-in. It does get very busy and packed on weekend nights, so there may be a wait during those times. Like most sports bars, their menu has your classic favorites like wings, pizza, burgers, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. There's unique options that aren't typically offered like sushi and poke bowls. They have a brunch menu on the weekends and a football menu on game days. They have a full drink menu with cocktails, wine, and beer. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 3-6pm, but if you can't make that... they have all day drink specials on Mon-Thurs! For my second visit, I ordered: *Tavern Dip Sandwich with sweet potato fries $23 (includes sliced prime rib, caramelized onions, mozzarella & horseradish cream on garlic ciabatta bread) - This is my FAVORITE sandwich to order. The prime rib was sooo juicy and tender. The horseradish cream added a spicy kick while the caramelized onions added a subtle sweetness. The ciabatta bread was fluffy and airy with a crunchy crust and chewy interior. The au jus (dipping sauce) was a flavorful broth made from roast beef juices, beef broth, onions, garlic, and herbs. I WANTED TO DRINK IT. The combination of the juicy meat, creamy mozzarella, soft bread, and savory broth gave me life. I would order this over and over again. And the sweet potato fries? They were crispy and baked to perfection. They came with a sweet marshmallow sauce that I fell in love with. *Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich with fries $19 (includes hand battered chicken tenders, chipotle mayo, melted pepper jack cheese, sliced tomato, and apple slaw on toasted ciabatta bread) - A solid sandwich! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The buttermilk marinade was tangy, rich, and creamy. The pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo added some spice. Not only is the food great, but so is the service. The entire team, from the hosts to the bartenders to the servers to the management, is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Least they could've done was keep the food in a hot place until drive comes to pick it up. On top of that I put in my order a side of ranch and buffalo sauce for the wings and got neither. After an eventful laser tag game with friends for my birthday, we decided to keep the night going and ended up at Tommy's Tavern + Tap in Edgewater completely on a whim. It was a Saturday night and we rolled up as a group of 10, so expectations were... cautiously optimistic. To our surprise, after about a 20-minute wait, they were able to get us seated together. Honestly, that alone felt like a small miracle. The restaurant is located in the plaza there, which means parking exists, but so do approximately a million other businesses competing for those same spots. Finding a space can be a little bit of a hunt, but it's not impossible if you're willing to do a lap or two... Or maybe even three. Inside, the space is big and lively. It may not be their largest location, but it's definitely spacious enough that you don't feel like you're dining on top of the table next to you. Our group still had a sense of privacy without needing a separate room, which I appreciated. Another big win: our group had a mix of different diets and preferences, and the staff handled it like pros. Our servers were patient, accommodating, and never once made us feel like the slightly chaotic table of 10 that we probably were. Food across the board was excellent. Drinks were tasty too, though I wouldn't have been mad if they leaned a little heavier on the pour. Just saying. My only real critique is the entrance area. The waiting space is a bit tight, so when guests are standing around it can block the doorway for people coming in and out. A little more breathing room there would make things flow much smoother. The host was friendly and seemed genuinely thrilled to tell us all about their menu & specials. For drinks we had an old fashioned, manhattan, & lychee martini. Shout out to the bartenders for tasty drinks! We ordered the French onion soup and Lobster bisque to start. Had the meatballs with focaccia, a Latitude roll & a Tommy roll. Everything, and I mean everything was phenomenal! The French onion soup probably one of the best I've had with delicious crispy onions on top! 4.5 Stopped by Tommy's Tavern in Edgewater and overall it was a really solid experience, especially as a first-timer. For drinks, the Strawberry Coconut Margarita was really good. I'd give it an 8.4/10. The flavor combination worked well and it was refreshing, but the coconut was a little subtle, so I wish that note came through just a bit more to fully balance the strawberry. The Lavender Elderberry Martini was easily the winning drink of the night at a 9.2/10. Super smooth, well-balanced, and the floral notes weren't overpowering. The lavender and elderberry blended perfectly and made it feel a little more elevated than your typical cocktail. For food, I had the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese with Cornbread. I'd rate it an 8/10. The pulled pork was very flavorful and definitely the highlight of the dish. The mac itself was a little on the bland side, but together it was still enjoyable and filling. My mom had the pizza and judging by how highly she spoke about it, she'd probably give it around a 9.7/10. The Ambience was great--it could easily work as a date spot or just a dope place to kick it with friends. The Staff was also really friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first time there. We love Tommy's, and we are so thrilled to have one in our area. Although it's a bit smaller compared to its brothers, it still retains its signature 'American pub' atmosphere, and the food is just as good as it is elsewhere. And there's parking, too! We've had Marlon both time we were here. He's a genuine, funny guy who definitely has an eye for customer service. We also had the pleasure of conversing with the manager (Vikram) while we were here. My family and I were genuinely impressed at how knowledgeable Vikram was about the history of the restaurant and the Buonfiglio family. I always opt for the Southwest Turkey Burger while I'm here. The sweet potato fries are also the best I've ever had, anywhere - and that marshmallow dipping sauce is devilishly good. I really should branch out and eat other things but I am a creature of habit!!! My friends and I are planning to have a happy hour here in a few weeks. Ive been here 2 times, it's always packed. Luckily, the place is huge, so theres plenty of seating from a large wrap around bar, high tops, booths, tables large and small. both times, we had great service. sat at the bar & a high top slightly in between the bar and the regular seating area. i had the wings both times. steep in price, but big in size, and juicy. theyre just your simple dry rub, but you can request sauces on the side to dip into. they come with satuteed onions and an italian hot pepper. we added focaccia bread the second time and really liked this. it was an extra $3, felt more like focacia nan and we liked it. I highly suggest getting the general tsos cauliflower. this is a small portion, but the crispy edges and sauce are perfect. its a lot of sauce, but we both really liked it. the 50/50 shrimp calamari is a must get also. just like the cauliflower, the seafood is cooked well and the sauce has the perfect amount of heat. dont worry this isnt as saucy as the cauliflower. i had a cheese pie with some pesto and i wasnt feeling it. the pizza itself was incredibly salty and greasy. decent rotation of local beers on draft! great service & id gladly be back. ps they have sushi & a happy hour. read more

It was my mother-in-law's birthday and we chose Tommy's to celebrate. Please keep in mind that we order from this restaurant multiple times a week and truly love the food. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. Our server didn't bring napkins and never once checked in to see if we needed anything. We waited a long time just to get our check. I asked to speak with the manager, John. When I asked if he was John, he responded dismissively, "Yes, all day." I explained what had happened, and instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, he said, "Hmm, let me see who it was," and never came back. We love the food here, but the service completely ruined what was supposed to be a special celebration. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because this experience was really disappointing. read more

I've worked in bar/restaurants for a very long time and I have to say, the service here was absolutely excellent. Attentive, fast, and never had to flag anyone down for something. I went on Sunday where a lot of games were playing and yet never felt like I had to find something, it was just brought out. Nachos were great, penne vodka pasta was excellent and the soups were all tasty. My one complaint would be the special Chicken Biscuit slider, it was very subpar and not exactly good. Stop by on a weekday for dinner and ended up going for sushi. The restaurant is casual, but very dark and loud typical of a sports bar. You will find some folks with children there but mostly adult crowd. The sushi was yummy and the portions were decent. The fish wasn't bad but the shrimp roll was better than those that contained fish. I would return and get the shrimp roll and the sushi stack sandwich. I would also like to try their bar style food like the pizzas, chicken wings, etc.. we also tried two cocktails, which were a bit sugary and watered down for my liking. I want to say typical "bar and grill" kind of spot but it doesn't do it justice. This has those elements but definitely a bit better no matter what kind of outing you're having. Walls and bar area have TVs everywhere so you won't miss whatever sporting event you wanted to catch with food and drinks. The different sections in this huge spot def I have different vibes which allow for varying crowds to enjoy their meal/drinks the way they expected without feeling out place (quieter areas and rowdy- in a good way- areas) Wings are great! Oven baked but retain juiciness. Just wish they had more of a char. The sautéed onions is a welcoming touch. German pretzel seems to be made in house and exactly what you'd expect for it. Pizza is good but will depend on how you like your cheese to sauce ratio. Not "standard" by any means but not something to pass up. Good variety of beers on tap. They use a website to showcase their current roster on tap as well as a menu showing their standard bottles and cans. About 2-3 minutes after we sat down, we were greeted by our attentive server. The place is pretty big with a LOT of tv screens lol - it was a pleasant, lively atmosphere. That's definitely a pro- happy hour offered Monday through Friday 3pm - 6pm the house wine is cupcake. The place is big and open. I got there at 3pm. Not busy at all. But it filled up after 5. It's noisy and lively like a typical casual pub. The food options are quite eclectic from the Mediterranean platter with hummus and feta to pizza pies, to sushi and a lot more inbetween. My friends love the pizza, the Mediterranean platter and salads are good healthy option and large. The loaded nachos need work, like the word loaded is misleading. They are not loaded. They are quite the opposite of loaded. A few chips on top w cheese and toppings. The rest dry and undressed. Guacamole for an extra $3 charge. They were willing to do it with impossible meat (since they only offer protein options for carnivores) they offered for an extra charge $12 or $9 I forget, so more like load them up a la carte nachos! And why not add impossible meat as one of the offered protein options along side the pulled pork, chili, or chicken?? Sat at the bar with a few friends. The service could have been better. We had to continuously wave down the bartender. The typical check in after food was dropped off to make sure we needed anything, or the filling up of our glass of water, or asking if we needed another round wasn't there. So I've been here like 4 times in about 5 months. Guess it's time to leave a review. "Tommy's Tavern & Tap" moved into a strip mall, back in the fall of 2024. I never really planned on going here, but a friend who lives in Edgewater recommended it. In all the times I've been, we have always gotten the Wings. Not your regular sauced then fried kind, but "TT&T" cooks them in a coal oven, then serves them with a bunch of different sauces. So you have the power. Burgers are always tasty and cooked to perfection. A friend ordered the Steak Sandwich and to our surprise, a nice think piece of meat showed up on fresh ciabatta bread. With a pile of fries. My wife had the Short Rib Sandwich (one of the daily specials). Unfortunately this fell short. Kind of small, salty and on a squished roll. I've had dessert in the past, and I know it was good. Just can't recall what it was. Something probably chocolate. There is an army of staff, and at times they can be a little over bearing. One nice touch. Free packs of matches upon leaving. read more

Love this place! Tommy's recently opened up in Edgewater and I went 3 times in one week! The menu has so many options and a lot of diverse dishes. You can get pizza, a burger, a steak, or even sushi. The service is stellar-- the waitstaff is friendly, prompt, and clearly customer service oriented. Two times we went, a manager came by to ask how we're doing, does our food taste good, is the service fine? This shows they care! The restaurant is spacious and has an elevated sports bar atmosphere. I am a big fan of the plentiful and comfortable, large booths. Huge TVs playing various sports cover the walls and hang over the bar. This would be a great place for March Madness. One of my favorite things about the bar is the happy hour specials everyday. The first night I went, they had half price wine. Another night, half price sangria. Another, $2 off draft beers. I went to the soft opening last night for Tommy's Tavern & Tap and it was a great experience. My friends and I have been waiting for an epic sports bar to open in Edgewater. This was my first time at a Tommy's Tavern and I was blown away at how huge and well laid out this space is. The menu is very diverse with pizza, burgers/sandwiches, sushi, entrees, appetizers and desserts (the cheesecake in the mini mason jar looked amazing but I forgot to order bc I was so full). The booths are wide and spacious. There are many tv's throughout; I can see this place getting packed on Sundays. But on to the food and drink! I had the frozen espresso martini, then switched to the lychee martini. Both so good! My friends reported that the wine menu was good (not my area of expertise). We opted for a variety of small plates: Meatballs with focaccia, two sushi rolls, Asian sticky ribs and cheese curds. We had the full intent of forging through the remainder of the menu but portions were so generous, we couldn't eat another bite. Service was impeccable. We loved our server, Ashlynn, and everyone on the team. We were checked in on frequently to make sure that all was going well, but not obtrusively so. What had we missed in the food scene in Edgewater? A trendy sports bar with great food!! So nice to see this addition that is located at where Pier One Import used to be. Ample free parking in the lower level at City Place if you can't find any on the upper level. Restaurant is huge with walls of TV screens playing different sports channels. Tables are pretty spread out with the bar in the middle. Staff were very friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. Service was quick. Food was amazing!! Had the 10 pieces of wings with rosemary focaccia bread with only $3 extra. The Cubano was great too...love how crispy their bread was. The chips tasted homemade! Would love to try their coal fired pizza next time. Perhaps sushi, poke or salmon salad too! Would certainly come back again! However, the women (girls) they have working on takeout orders are consistently the most rude people I have ever encountered. They act like you're not even there when you come to pick up the food. God forbid the order is wrong and you tell them, they don't even try to correct it. I have never seen anything like this. I guess I have to take my business elsewhere. It's too bad because the food is really good. Management at this location should seriously consider replacing them all because they are all so rude all the time. read more
