We sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Several bartenders walked by as we called to them. Totally ignored us. We did finally get drinks and shortly after we're told a table was available. It took quite a while before our waitress showed up. Since we already had drinks she was ready to walk away but we wanted to order a pretzel. She took the order, pretzel arrived more than 15 mins later, but it was delicious. It was good we had something to munch on cause our dinner, 2 burgers and a flatbread, arrived 45 mins later. The burgers were wrong, she said she had 2 Cali burgers. My husband ordered a cheeseburger, I did order the Cali. I took one, they sent the other back for correction. Once I went to eat mine I realized it was not a Cali burger. That had to be returned also. Both burgers were ordered medium rare, they were cooked well done. My friend did enjoy her flatbread. The manager did come by with a half hearted apology. She offered free dessert, we're not dessert eaters so did not accept the offer. Looking back, we should gave taken dessert to go. Tommy's is a solid spot for a casual bite especially if you want to catch a game while eating! I happened to be there during the World Cup and it was great. It was a really fun and lively atmosphere. If you don't want to grab a table, the bar is also a great option for a quick drink or even for a meal. There's typically a bit of a wait here but it always moves quickly and you can always grab a drink while you wait. Some of my favorites here are the salmon salad, eggplant flatbread, and believe it or not the sushi! On my most recent visit I had the tuna poke bowl. It was a very large portion and extremely fresh. Our first time at this place and we could tell it was popular with the line stretching out of the door. No reservations so it is first come first serve. There was a 25 minute wait when we arrived. They take your cell number and text when your table is ready. Our server was so amazing. With my food allergies she went above and beyond to make sure that I understood their procedures and that my food was safe. I really appreciate the extra effort she took to make me feel comfortable. The food was delicious and service was great. The restaurant was packed on a Saturday evening but that did not detract from the service. The booth seating was so spacious. The Wayne location is conveniently located in its own section near other major stores, there's always plenty of parking. It can be a little challenging to get a table depending on the time of day since they don't offer reservations. Every time I have visited this location, I've received amazing and friendly service. The cocktails are always great, and the food is even better. My orders have always been correct and prompt, and I appreciate the value of seamless dining experiences. As an avid guest at the Tommy's location in Clifton, I was psyched to see that they were opening a new location closer to home. The new restaurant is located in Wayne on the outside perimeter of the Willowbrook Mall. It's the old TGIF location which is easily accessible from 46 and 23. This new location is a big restaurant with a full bar, tables and booths throughout. They also have an outside patio but it was WAY too hot yesterday to sit out there. Same menu so you can expect consistency. Their menu is very extensive from burgers to salads, pizza and even sushi. Yes, sushi! I normally wouldn't trust a place with so many different items on the menu but their sushi is great. For dinner, we ordered the smashed potatoes side I imagined it would be like a Boxty, but it wasn't. It was like mini baked potatoes - I can't complain! We also got the Hot Honey Roni which is my favorite pizza on their menu. The Hot Honey Roni has mini pepperoni cups along with mozz and a sesame seeded crust.
