Place has gotten worse every time we've been. The new Chicken Ceasar Salad wrap came with hot wilted lettuce. A ceasar wrap is not supposed to be hot. They must have fried chicken and then dumped it right on top. And then dumped hot fries on top of everything. Terrible sandwich! Even the fries which were seasoned fries had no taste. The cheeseteak eggrolls were dry and didn't come with garlic aioli like the menu said. They had a drop or two on top which you could barely taste. The beet and goat cheese salad is served over romaine lettuce. Not sure why anywhere would ever do that. Don't even bother having it on the menu. read more

The food was good and fresh. We had a salad with a side of chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy. The steak sandwich was good. The inside is very clean and has comfortable seating. There is a very nice dining room with a fireplace and mantle. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. It was a great spot for lunch. The menu had a great variety from healthy to comfort. Have been here recently a few times and I was sad to update my review. The drinks are not as good anymore \= I don't end up finishing my drinks after a few sips & would have to switch to a beer. I called to make a reservation, Rose was very nice and had great customer service skills. Then I talked to the manager, Carlos. He kept pushing a private room for our group, which we did not want. Then talked to me very rudely, "so you just want the benefits, but don't want to pay for the room." I mean if you don't want to serve a large group, just make that your policy, do be rude to customers who want to inquire. Never going there, he does not know how to talk to customers. read more

Went for their soft opening so still some things to improve on. They have newly renovated with new owners and menu. The restaurant is split up into a front bar area and a back dining area. If coming with a large group I would definitely make a reservation as there are only a few tables that can be made for large groups. Majority of the tables are booths. Service was slow for drinks and taking orders but food came out very fast. Local taps available which is always a plus. Food was just OK. French onion soup was very salty but the owner handled the situation right away. Bun was too large for the fried chicken sandwich. Nachos were good as they fry their own tortillas. Hoping to see them improve with all the feedback. They have a parking lot which is a plus in this area. read more

It's a shame - I expected more from this place. Instead of a restaurant with a bar it's a bar with some expensive food. The bartenders are nice but do not know how to serve customers. I had to ask for another drink and during my stay here they only came to me once to see if I needed anything. Once to order and once to give me the bill. They didn't offer bread with my my meal and left my dishes for at least 30 min after I had visibly had finished eating. The clientele was interesting but were friendly. My dishes are still sitting in front of me as I write this. They could have sold me at least three other drinks but lack of attention and professionalism was their loss. I was looking for local restaurant to make my home but it will not be this one. They just opened last year but with a 30% drop in potential profit they will not be here long. read more

The minute people start finding out about this place, it'll start getting packed. The menu is SO good -- the name of the place sounds like a pub because they bought out the bar and kept the name. The modern renovations look great while still keeping some of the character of the old place. Their menu has everything from great pastas to steak, fish, etc. Even their salads were super good (we had the wedge with avocado). Definitely get the whipped ricotta app! Jakub our server had a great vibe and helped with recommendations. We didn't get to try the seasonal cocktails but definitely will next time. Good portions and little details in all the dishes made things extra tasty (fries were my favorite kind, bread in everything was fresh, burger was extra juicy, the honey in the whipped ricotta was perfect, etc). This is my second visit to the newly-renovated Saloon. Food looks great.. but haven't eaten there yet. Went for drinks. My needs are simple.. a basic Pinot Grigio (Cavit, on their list). They didn't have any. My friend wanted an IPA, none available . Second visit was last night. They had it.. but "ran out" of it after my second glass. My friend did have his beer, however. On the positive side, service was brisk and efficient, with friendly staff. I loved the old Grande Saloon, and really want to love this new one. A gentle .. nudging to the..proprioters..please fix this! Coming back hopeful for a third time, and will eat, too. But.. if same issues are there.. 3rd time I'm OUT. read more

My wife and I took my daughter here at her recommendation though a bit out of the way for us. The decor was clean and pleasant and appeared to have been recently renovated. This was a Sunday night and I was initially concerned at the lack of guests. Perhaps a post holidays thing. My fears quickly subsided as the service and food were most excellent. My wife and daughter enjoyed a whipped ricotta appetizer while I really liked their charcuterie board. Quality meats and a fresh fruit assortment hit the spot. For dinner my wife had an avocado sliced salad, daughter peppercorn chicken, and me the skirt steak. We all raved about the preparation, presentation, and taste. Our server Jacob was most attentive. The courses were well timed and he was able to make excellent recommendations. We plan on going back and sampling more of their menu. read more

Advertised on social media happy hour and when got there was told no happy hour? We ordered two drinks one came to table the second one took 25 mins and had to ask twice where is the other drink? Manager instead of apologizing gave excuses and was dismissive. I will say food is good and hopefully turn things around. Manager needs a lesson in customer service. read more

The food very good no issues except for timing. The service was well very polite people sat at bar. The bartender was polite but timing was not too good. Ordered tsp beer not cold at all so ordered 2 and was not good. So ordered bottle loiter colder but not to good. Also noticed which the bartender did not was we ordered our app and entrees and like 10 minutes later a gentleman sat next stool over and ordered his wings came out and mine didn't come out. So I didn't say anything but being that I sat next to him thought bartender would notice but not at all. Bit disappointing. Also at end of meal never asked with an empty bottle of beer never came and asked if I wanted desert or another beer. So I just asked for check. After all this waiting, the Grand Saloon is finally reopened under new ownership. Currently under a soft opening with limited hours and serving most of their menu. I was excited to visit as I've missed my local watering hole and I've been to the owners other location Heights Bar and Grill several times which is known for their delicious burger selections and they have my favorite crispy fries. The new owners have revamped the bar structurally and aesthetically. Beer taps are now available and a wall has been put up to separate the bar and restaurant which will not lend to much room for the beloved karaoke and band nights of the past. The burger was cooked well and tasty but lost in a giant bun, fries were over seasoned and pillowy soft; the onion rings were the highlight. Steak salad was abundant with meat that was cooked to the requested temp. I will definitely be missing the cozy feeling and more basic bar menu of the Saloon of the past. The update is more akin to the Barrow House up the road with bougie offerings and a hipster feel. I'm looking forward to visiting again once the soft opening is complete and the restaurant gets into a groove of the local feel and has seasonal offerings. read more
