Drunk dude waiter who welcomed us upon entry was an odd touch and somewhat off putting. We went to the rooftop to sit and nobody came up to serve us so after waiting a bit we came back down and immediately got served. The waitress who ended up helping us was kind and helpful. Ribs were great but the brisket sandwich was tough to eat. Cole slaw was just ok. This could be a great place with a little more attention to detail. read more

We showed up with a large group and they repeatedly warned us that they were "short staffed" and asked us to be patient. E we would have never known! The drink orders came right away, the food order arrived in a reasonable time, they asked if we needed refills! It was perfect! We can on a Tuesday and had the ribs. They were terrific! We visited with a large group, no one batted an eye, they accommodated us with no issue. The server was awesome, she can't get enough stars. Despite being (as far as I could tell) the only server, she anticipated needs and got orders quickly. The food from the kitchen, however, is a different story. My pork sandwich was dry, stringy and tasteless. Yes, I know it's bar food, but still. I'd come here for drinks again, but will eat elsewhere first. read more

This is a small, quiet restaurant/pub obviously frequented by locals, but it was just what we were looking for in Creede that particular day. The servers were quite attentive. Not to the point of being irritating, but to the point of us knowing it would not be difficult to get their attention. (A plus in my book.) The food was simple, but tasty. Waiter was extremely drunk around noon in the middle of the week. Probably the most embarrassing, rude server I've ever seen. Couldn't hold it together to serve 3 tables. Wings were undercooked and covered in oil that made the sad chips inedible since they were covered in greasy, gross undercooked chicken oil. Tommy knockers had the best ribs and they were right that you need to reserve them in advance because they do sell out, now I see why. Great little town, cute little old timey restaurant. Food was just ok. The pulled pork was dry.

Wow, what a waste of time. The service staff is very friendly and helpful, however the food is a complete waste. Can tell the food is several days old, not seasoned properly and overall disappointing. Further the drink machine must have some filter issue, as all drinks no matter water, or soda have a funny taste. The wings also appear to have come from a rubber chicken. The food was just ehhh...I had the Okey pulled pork sliders. The pork was good, just not very flavorful. The Hawaiian rolls were baked too long and were dark brown and crunchy. The male server was a little abrasive and rude. Did not even offer ice in drinks. The female server was amazing and friendly. Once you manage to make it up the huge front step it was okay, we found the handicapped entrance later. I was disappointed that most of their tables are tall and we had to spit up our party because there weren't enough short chairs for all of us to sit together. our server was top drawer. Wonderful smile and wonderful responsiveness. Sadly, the green chili cheeseburger recipe is nowhere near as good as it was two years ago. At that time it was cheesy and had strips of mildly warm green chilies on top. With some green chili sauce. This last visit it just had some kind of green chili gravy on top and was not satisfying. If it weren't for our server I would give this place one star. The guitar player and fiddle player in the corner were very good. Enjoyed their music. I planned a road trip for my friends visiting Colorado. I squeezed Creed into our adventure because of it's rich history and peculiarities. Everything was amazeballs until we came to this establishment. The food was on point, everyone was welcoming and friendly with the exception of the bar tender lady. We felt uncomfortable when she singled out one of us calling her "the cool one" followed by preferred treatment. This put the rest of us down because we were looking for an experience. We're on a "no destination" retirement RV trip for my husband and stumbled upon this little gem! What a neat place. You can tell, even during the off season, this is the place to be. It was packed, people were friendly, the one waiter was working his tail off and doing a great job. I got the Okie Pokey (fitting for this Okie to get) and it was fantastic. The Banker, brisket nachos, and the (I think it's called) Tommyknocker club was ordered by the rest of the party, and there were no complaints. This is a quaint, rustic bar and bistro. The seating is more than meets the eye. Upon entering you see limited indoor tables but there is patio and upstairs seating to accommodate. We were a group of 11 and split to two tables. Most ordered hot sandwiches and two ordered 1/4 slab ribs. None were disappointed. The bread was fresh and portions generous. Delicious! We stopped in after a 4-day backpacking trip in the Weminuche winderness for our Return to Civilization Meal. We sat on the patio (there is an upstairs and downstairs patio) and enjoyed some drinks and sandwiches. Word to the wise - stick to the barbeque. This is obviously their specialty, and the rest of the menu won't really blow you away. We each had a barbeque sandwich and they were incredible. The sides were just average (the mac and cheese is literally Kraft), but they were inconsequential next to those sandwiches. Damn those were good. The ambiance was quirky with a touch of potentially-drunk-owner, which is exactly how I like my taverns. Very cool spot, I'll be going back if I find myself in Creede again! read more
