DO NOT GO HERE, I had been a tommys member for several months and had never really had a complaint. Until about a week ago I went for a routine car wash and their equipment defaced my chrome rim on my mercedes, I reported it and they have denied liabilty despite the camera footage showing no damage before I went into the wash. If you want a real review it's gonna be from me, I have been a "The Works" member for about a year now and I used to be a member at mister car wash and I can tell you that Tommy's express is the best car wash in Tucson because you can pick from an assortment of scents on air fresheners, they also have microfiber towels that you can borrow and give back (they wash them and take the dirty ones). They also have floor mat washing machines which have upped my car cleaning game. I also appreciate their free dash wipes and skinny vacuums which have made my life a lot easier. I think it's worth paying $35 a month on the membership or whatever it costs because this is an amazing car wash and I love all the employees, they all know me when they see me I come so often lmao i will vouch for this car wash until the day I die. read more

Changed owners from Jet Wash to Tommy's. Prices increased, everything for membership is in phone app, no discounts until you have 3 cars or more. (prior owner had military and family discounts) Signing up in app will get you a month free. There are four levels of wash. This is still being remodeled (upgraded?) and they removed the self-help machines for now. If paying you have to go in LEFT LANE, if you have a membership in the APP then you can go either lane. You can ask for wipes or air freshener if in Left Lane window. Still have FREE Vacuums. Removed vending machines, we'll see if replaced. The free tire air machine appears shut down...we'll see. Not impressed yet, but they are close by. Previously and recent reviews indicated scratches. Remember this is a "TOUCH" car wash they use spinning brushes so they will contact your vehicle and (especially) if you have dirt then it will smear and can scratch. Most of the time this can buff out easy, as it is very light. IF you are worried about scratches then GO TO A TOUCHLESS car wash that uses sprayers only. Same as previously, it does not get the backs of vehicles well, so if you have dirt, it will get pushed to the rear of the vehicle. Previously I could just go around again, IDK if this is still an option. I will update once they complete all their change overs. read more

Improvement in a few areas: Although there's still a sales pitch for unlimited washes, it is just a single query, very low-key and not offensive. Haven't had an issue of coming during operating hours to find them closed, glad to see this is not an issue. Seems like there are now towels regularly stocked. They are damp, however, which means it's still useful to bring your own towel for the final dry. But it's great that the majority of the dry down can occur with the supplied towels. The blower pressure was fairly low today, so it wasn't the same magical experience in clearing out dust from the engine bay nor drying crevices such as in the grill. But overall, this is our favorite carwash within miles! Great value for what you get. read more

I've not gone here for awhile due to crappy and shady service. They kept billing my credit card even though they kept saying they wouldn't. It looks like this is a common problem there after ready about them on line. But I needed my truck washed and against my better judgement I went there and the reward I got is a damaged wheel. Update: why ask me to contact you... and then ignore me? Oh brother, so you tell me to contact you just so you can tell me that you are not the ones to contact? It's no wonder this car wash has gone to hell. They basically told me that there's nothing that they, as the corporate owner, an do nothing because the carwashes are all franchised. So you know the franchisee will just tell me to contact corporate. What a load of crap. Companies with zero accountability are the absolute worst.! And the kids I think about it, the madder I get. I was at the 22nd and Swan today June 12th at about 1230. I've been there many times. But today I went thru and went dry my Truck. Of course no towels found 2 and went to wet them. On the way back water came down on me and on a parked truck at vacuums. Water came from above. I told the guy and he said WTH. The Employee which I had never seen there before came out and I told him Why is there so much Water Spots on my Truck. Alot of Water spots. I told him I could get Water spots at my house. Then he told me Why was I talking to him like that. He kept telling me He didnt like the way I was talking to him. He then told me You think just cause your a Veteran you can come in here and talk that way. I told him NOT TO EVEN GO THERE. This had nothing to Me being A Vetran. I told him to get me the Supervisor and he said he was the Boss and now he wanted me to leave. I told him Not until I dry my Truck.. Again he told me he didn't like the way I talked him. I told him to drop it. He wouldn't. He told me he had a Video of me being Disrespectful. He also wanted my name. Lol He then went to other Customer and telling them about me. One Customer told him to walk away. The Customer then came over and saw my Retired Marine Corps Sticker and said he was also a Marine. That's when this Guy backed away and went inside. I brought my brand new car here for its first ever wash and am devastated by what happened. I got the standard wash and when I got out to vacuum, I noticed gigantic scratches all over the hood. There were 2 patterns of scratches, circular ones and ones that were more in a straight line. I immediately drove back around to the window and asked the employee to take a look at it. He acknowledged that it was scratched and said the manager, Francisco, would come speak to me. 20 minutes passed before he finally came out. The first words out of his mouth were "you can't prove that that happened here." I was shocked by his aggressiveness, lack of empathy, and instant attitude. The car only had a couple hundred miles on it and it was the first time it had been washed. Where would these scratches have come from? We went back and forth as he continued to insist that there was no way the scratches were from the car wash and that he "had never had any complaints." Judging by the reviews here and under the car wash's previous name, that is clearly not true. After about 20 minutes of going back and forth (during which time he stated that the scratches were there when I bought the car but had been disguised under a thick coat of wax, an absurd statement) I asked to speak with the owner instead. Begrudgingly, Francisco took down my information and assured the owner would call. It has now been 3 weeks and I have called 3 times to follow up and have not been able to speak to the owner, but rather told that they are busy and will call me back. Upon closer inspection, there are scratches across the entire body of the car, although the hood took the majority of the damage. This is the first brand new car I have ever bought and I am devastated that it was so damaged less than 2 months after purchasing it. I will continue to call and hope for some resolution, but based on Francisco's immediate accusations and defensive behavior, I sincerely doubt they will do anything. Please, learn from my mistake. I washed my car at Tommy's for the first time today. I've been through several others in Tucson, Sierra Vista z and even Nogales that dona much better job of drying the car. The whole bAck side of my Audi was wet and good thing I brought my own towels as Tommy's had nothing. The biggest disappointment though, wasn't the water left on the car, it was the fact that there is absolutely no shade at this place. I pulled into the vacuum area to clean the inside - no shade to be found anywhere - I wanted to apply a product to the car that protects the paint, but I couldn't find any shade whatsoever on the property. I ended up driving to the Casino nearby and parking under a tree to be in the shade and apply the protectant to my car. I live an hour away and figured it would rain before I got home, so it was important to me to find a shady place to finish the car wash. Disappointed with Tommy's. I will find another place to wash my car next time. read more
