Tommy's Tunes was the DJ for my wedding yesterday and I had to run to write this review because I still cannot believe how phenomenal they were. I had DJ Dominick, MC PJ, and Xander for Photobooth. Dominick's music was INCREDIBLE... he played every single song I asked for, timed all the music perfectly, and kept the party going all night... it was truly banger after banger. The crowd loved it and so did I. PJ was also an absolutely fantastic MC. He was so fun and really did a great job engaging the crowd to keep everyone partying all night! He did great job communicating with me about the schedule for the night too! Overall a 10/10 experience working with Tommy's Tunes. I personally feel that the music and overall DJ experience really either makes or breaks a party and everyone I spoke to told me that this was one of the best weddings they've ever gone to, and I owe it all to Dominick, PJ, and Xander! read more

DJ Dominick and MC Mike L were fantastic. Definitely, had the right combination of energy, song selection, equipment, tempo and song transitions. MC Mike L was personable; however, didn't try to be the star of the show. Put all the focus on the bride/groom and guests. Hiring Tommy tunes to DJ at my wedding was the best decision ever. We had received a quote at double the cost from another vendor, so we were very happy when Tommy gave us a better deal. We got a violinist and pianist who played so beautiful during my ceremony, honestly brought me to tears. We got an mc and DJ for the reception who was bilingual for my side of the family. We also got uplighting and a photo booth and prices were great. Tommy was a pleasure to deal with.I loved that he called me and told me that my ceremony music sounded better with a piano and violinist instead of the two violinist I had originally hired. He was honest and said we will do what I want but honestly the songs I want sound better with a violin and piano . And he was so right, I loved the musicians who played live during my ceremony. I was told I was going to have Richie B for my DJ, and Joe for my MC- I had Anderson & Reuben, & Nick for my lighting guy. They were good. Seemed to keep everyone happy. They listened to all of my requests that I wanted. However, around 11 pm, I heard and felt that the DJ said "last song of the night" however my wedding was going until midnight. I believe he was saying "last SLOW song" but many guests thought it was the last song and started to leave, which made me upset. read more

I hired this dj as it came with the package at east winds and let me tell you how awful the dj was. He spent more time outside smoking and talking to my guest then trying to keep people on the dance floor. The music cut out for about 20-30minutes. He also was playing music that was crossed off on the music selection list such as Latin music. Would never recommend this company. read more

We met with Steven in their Syosset office - he was very professional and kind, didn't try to up-sell us, and listened to exactly what we were looking for. We met with Steven in the office and he set us up with a great pkg that included the DJ, MC, zap photos, and a photobooth. Really reasonable price too! He answered ALL my questions no matter how small or ridiculous. The day of, we had Joe E. as our MC. He was great! Tommy the owner will promise you lots of stuff when booking but when you have your final appt after he's taken your money he'll act like he has no idea what you're talking about. Our photo booth was a complete disaster. The attendant had a bad attitude, the photo quality was awful - dark and gray. Even worse, we were promised a digital copy of all photo booth pix but the flash stick was corrupt and we lost half of the photos. They're not professional and think it's ok to NOT have a backup of photos. So it all was lost. Tommy didn't even want to refund me half the cost. I should have gotten a full refund - you lost my wedding photo booth photos. Go elsewhere. read more

Tommy and his team are absolutely amazing! We have recommended them to our clients for years. We have had so many brides, sweet 16 moms and corporate clients tell us how happy they were that they booked them. Do not recommend! The music selection was terrible, and the volume was way too loud. No current/popular songs were played, and it seemed like he tailored his music selections to his own taste and did not focus on entertaining the crowd. Also, his song transitions were not smooth as he took a long time to transfer between songs and it was not well timed. His lack of dj skills ruined a night of fun dancing. At New Years Eve party I expected much higher quality from the dj to carry the party into the new year, but instead my group left disappointed and frustrated with the music selections and his lack of professionalism. read more

We used Tommy's tunes for our wedding on June 8th 2019. All I can say is they were absolutely AMAZING. MC Joe Cip, and DJ Jon were absolutely incredible. They had every guest up on the dance floor, their music choices were phenomenal and had such great energy the entire time!! If you need a dj for any occasion this is definitely the company to use ! This is probably the easiest review I have ever written. Tommy Tunes reached out to me because they heard our company was hosting an event at a very popular venue in Long Island, NY. I let Steve and Tommy know that I could only do so much because I was way out in Dallas, TX and I needed help in setting the tone and flow of our event. I used the phrase "it's your party, we are just attending". Him and his team proceeded to give me tons of recommendations that we very easy to agree to. We planned this 8hr event with only a handful of questions answered and just under 1 hour on the phone. When it came time for the event we were just merely hours before the event before I even met the DJs that were helping to host. Not their fault, but was 100% mine because of time restraints. Joe and DJ Rich already started setting things up before I got there, and assured me that they were going to take care of me. Without any hesitation these guys made final adjustments that I needed. We meshed extremely well. DJ Rich is the KING OF AD LIB. He was taking care of everything! The way he read the room, and the flow of the event was like him and I planned this second by second. Their photographer that they provided was the most active photographer I had ever seen. This guy was everywhere, at the right time, and knew the perfect time to intervene. The great thing about him, was the fact that he was invisible. He took so many shots of our event that I was shocked to know that he was even around to take that picture. I actually attended a wedding Tommy Tunes was hired for in July 2015. They did do a good job and have decent reviews so they must have good business ethics. Long story short, my fiancé and I were planning on getting married next October 2017 at Martha Clara Vineyard. We booked the venue, caterer and Dj, Tommy Tunes. The price of the wedding started to sky rocket way past our means so we called Martha Clara and the caterer to tell them our situation and they WITHOUT question, gave us our deposit back.Almost $5,000 between the both. We thought the same would happen with Tommy Tunes. He DID NOT give us our deposit back and it was over a year out from the date. Unacceptable and awful business man. What a f&@*ing party! Sorry but there's really no other way to say it. Music is so important to me and they took what I told them I wanted and brought it to life effortlessly and seamlessly. Every song blended into the next and the party never stopped. People could not stop raving about the music. In four days since the wedding countless people have contacted me to say oh my god that music I couldn't get off the dance floor. One person said "every song was my favorite song! Best wedding ever" We literally didn't stop dancing until the lights came on and they kicked us out lmao!!! A majority of our guests were left over on the dance floor when the lights came on--that's how you know it was a ridiculously amazing time. Joe E the MC is the best and you MUST get him! He was hilarious and kept the night alive consistently. He made sure everything was going according to plan and was absolutely perfect!!!! DJ Rasheed was incredible as well. He effortlessly blended from song to song, no breaks, just hitting us with awesome music constantly. We had the best night of our lives made possible by this crew. I truly believe music is the key to a sick party. Im not a huge drinker so I always say if there's good music I can stay out and up dancing forever. Well I was up til 230! (The party ended at 1230 but I was listening to videos of the music all night just dying over how perfect it was). That's how amazing they were. Moreover, Joe E told me how important it was for me to have more than a minute dancing with my dad and I am so happy he told me that because it was such a beautiful time dancing with my father that I won't forget. So many of our friends had tommy tunes at their weddings so we did not look anywhere else for a DJ and it was the best decision we ever made. I love love love love looooove this DJ company. They made my wedding what it was--which is INSANELY RIDICULOUSLY UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING and the BEST wedding that we've ever been to!!!!!!! I could not tell you how absolutely beyond satisfied we are with our DJ, Dominick, who really did everything plausible and then some to make our wedding incredibly special. We had retained Tommy's Tunes to provide DJ services for our small wedding of around 70 guests. We are so lucky to have made this choice. We had met with Dominick about a month prior to the wedding and were impressed with how organized he is. He was friendly, and genuinely interested to make our day truly special. There is a form for everything and basically all our requests and specifications are done in writing ahead of time. We are really picky and detail oriented by nature, so by the time our forms were filled out we were concerned that no one would be able to follow them. Dominic did not disappoint, and obviously spent a considerable amount of time preparing so that the night went off without a hitch. He was friendly, likeable, and most of all incredibly capable and organized. The guests loved the music and everything that we wanted was done the way that we wanted down to the final detail. Every song that we wanted was played and everything was seamless. A month after the wedding, we still look back on our DJ as the second best choice we made that day. Would not recommend. Attended a New Years Eve 2015 event at the Watermill Caterers. The music selection was horrid with over an hour of music wasted to cater to his handful of his personal guests at a personal table. while hundreds sat an watched. The sound system was atrocious, even the lighting system was non existent with two dull little lights. (i've seen better at Guitar Center. ) Last years festivities were light years better than this DJ. Go else where, i know we will next year if they are there. read more

The MC was pretty good but that is the only positive I can say. My wife and I had out wedding in long island and we booked these guys. Wish we would have went with a band. The DJ was about 20 and apparently not very skilled with reading the crowd to play appropriate music to get folks dancing. The Na Na is def not a song that was put on the playlist that my wife and I picked out. Despite several request to play more 80s and Italian music the DJ continued to play Rap and other pop garbage throughout the reception. Also the light add on are a complete and utter rip off. The snow flake hologram was distorted and showed up on about 1/8th of the dance floor. My advice if you go with these guys is to pick all of your music out completely and hand the list to the DJ that night. But then if your doing that save the cash and just play Pandora through the speakers. Will be a better option! read more

We just got married last Saturday at the Cottage at East Wind and I cannot express how amazing our DJ, Dominic was! He kept our guests partying and dancing the whole wedding! Best service EVER! My husband and I saw Tommy's Tunes do a great job at a few of our other friends weddings. We loved their work but originally hired an MC that could speak Cantonese and English for some of my relatives. However, our previous MC cancelled on us One Month before the wedding. We were pissed. Luckily, we remembered Tommy Tunes and they were great enough to fill in with such short notices. We had MC Joe and he did a great job of introducing everyone. Luckily most of our family and friends were dancers. The DJ had them on the floor all night. He played a great mix and Joe barely had to say anything else the rest of the night.
