The food is alright but the service here is rock bottom. They are extremely stingy about Wasabi, especially when you're placing an order. When I called to confirm that my order would contain the Wasabi that I requested, and I tried to explain that in the past this restaurant has ignored my request for Wasabi multiple times, she hung up on me and then blocked my phone number. The only reason I still order from here is because my mom keeps asking me for the food from here. She doesn't need Wasabi to eat sushi like I do, so she doesn't care. I can't eat sushi without Wasabi! And why should I have to drive back to the restaurant myself to get some Wasabi when I specified in my order that I need Wasabi? Gave this place a shot because I was in the area and was craving sushi. I got 3 rolls. The golden tiger which was good deep fried roll. But then I got these 2 also which are the hot night and double dragon. I ate the golden tiger and was excited for the other two rolls and I took bites and was really disappointed. They're so sweet with all those sauces. I tried to eat them all but I couldn't bring myself to eat them anymore because all the sauce all over made it to sugary and sweet and made the rice more mushy and soggy. I hate to write a poor review, especially for this place. Because this was our favorite local sushi bar. And we know that amongst many other restaurants, were struggling during the pandemic. We continued to support them throughout it and returned when they opened up again. But it has changed TREMENDOUSLY since. And our last visit was exactly that - our last. The customer service has just gone down the drain, and seems to really bring in some ghetto customers. I realize this is Riverside area and sometimes it's just what you get. But the problem we encountered was not with the customers. It was with a waitress, a young but larger set waitress who participated in a long conversation with some male customers who were being loud as all hell, and saying very questionable & inappropriate things for the entire restaurant to hear. I even saw the sushi chefs become uncomfortable and bothered in the midst of it. Meanwhile - the waitress just laughing & going along with it all while standing at their table and completely ignoring the other two tables ( it was a slow night which probably made this worse. ) We were completely appalled and just plain embarrassed for her and for us for choosing to go there that night. It was so bad, my husband and I didn't even finish our food and asked for the check and left. No need to stay somewhere where you feel uncomfortable especially at a restaurant. read more

Yesterday I visited this establishment with my girlfriend to celebrate 18 months together, we came in just after 5PM when they came back from their two hour lunch break. There was hardly anyone else in just yet but for some reason it took forever for us to be visited and this only got worse as time went on and patrons started coming in. With service on demand but wait staff slow or downright confused on what we had already put orders in for and the kitchen failing multiple times to provide us with things we had ordered, often giving us things we didn't order or things we ordered after first it was very chaotic. Numerous times we were asked if we wanted to start a second round when we didn't even get the items we requested for the first in full. I wish the issue was just a confused wait staff and slow service, but topped on with a food selection that was drowned in sauce so I couldn't enjoy the actual fish, edamame that were salt bombs and left me requesting numerous glasses of water, and dirty floors and an unpleasant restroom that looked out of a horror movie I can not recommend this place, especially at $30 per person for the All You Can Eat. On top of all of this, the restaurant had the nerve to charge me a 12% tip in my subtotal and left a blank space for me to tip even further! I almost did until I thought about why the subtotal was so high and reread the actual details of what I was being charged for. Never going back to this place. read more

We normally don't write too many reviews unless things are really bad or really good. We ordered take out from here on DoorDash and it hands down has to be one of the worst sushi experiences we've had. Everything was tiny and was terrible quality. We ordered a baked salmon roll with cream cheese which they charged us for after we ordered. We would've been totally fine with that if it was made correctly but they were so lazy, they just threw a few slabs of cream cheese on top. Not only that but they used old salmon and the dark, brown part of the salmon that is usually trashed! Looked and smelled so awful. The spicy mayo looked really weird, it was kind of on the sweeter side. The rest of the rolls we ordered were super lackluster, similar to grocery store sushi. They also didn't include any ginger or wasabi. We paid over $70 for four rolls and we were starving so we ate some of it but couldn't finish. Hopefully the owners of this restaurant will put more effort into this place. We've given this place a few chance when we are in the area but they've totally gone downhill over the years. read more
