We had such an incredible experience here last night! Ichi is under new management, and tucked away in an unassuming alleyway. The restaurant itself is spotless and they have awesome claw games in the front! Elijah took great care of us! Their AYCE is really reasonably priced, and the baked rolls came out steaming, and the fresh rolls were absolutely delicious! We loved their protein roll that was wrapped in rice paper, and the volcano roll! Their fresh water eel was a hit with a couple of us eel fans in our party last night, the eel was caramelized beautifully and the portions were generous! Their green tea ice cream was so refreshing! You can tell they really care about their customer's experience here, we found our new favorite sushi spot! This place has to be on your list to try out when you're in the area! read more

This used to be Joe's and according to the waitress the menu remained the same. They also serve Korean food, which is cool since the original K-town is in Riverside. The spot is modern, clean, and open with ample seating. The service was very friendly and attentive, but the sushi rolls didn't hit the spot flavor-wise. I had the Spicy Albacore hand roll, Fiesta roll, and Tokyo Night roll. My sis had the Lettuce Wraps, Ya Ya roll, and Salmon Delight roll. Very wonderful service here with decent sushi in the IE. We tried the AYCE menu, which had a nice selection of nigiri, rolls, and hand roll. Their rolls with mango inside rock!! They offer an appetizer sampler so that you can try a few variety of bites. Their nigiri has great rice to fish ratios, but I would pass on the scallop nigiri. my partner and i decided to take a little drive up to riverside to try out this AYCE family owned sushi place that i saw on tiktok. the staff was more than welcoming and accommodating to any questions we had. i appreciated how fast the sushi was coming out even when they started to get hit with a MAJOR rush btw!! tables of 6 and other parties quickly filled up the business even though we came as they opened at 11:30AM!! so if you're in the mood for some good sush and vibes i'd come here. i absolutely love mom and pop businesses and this one hit home for me because it was nice seeing everyone come together even during stressful events.... super professional and kind read more

Met up with a friend for dinner after work at Ichi and the place was already pretty active for a Tuesday around 5pm. All the booths were taken so we grabbed a table, but there was still plenty of open seating at the bar and in the back. The space feels open and never cramped. They are closed on Mondays, so keep that in mind. This spot used to be Joe's Sushi. My family and I used to frequent here back in the late 2000s. Walking in felt nostalgic because a lot of the layout and vibe are still familiar, even though the menu now includes some Korean dishes (hence the name change I'm assuming). Everything we ordered tasted great. Our server, Danny, recommended the Protein Roll and the Sexy Salmon and both were hits. The Sexy Salmon especially stood out. The seared salmon on top is one of my favorites and they do it really well here. The nigiri was also impressive. The fish tasted fresh and the rice to fish ratio was just right. The Cajun salmon had good flavor without the sauce taking over. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. Danny took great care of us. AYCE is about $35 per person, which feels fair for the quality. The only downside is that they automatically add a 15% gratuity to the bill regardless of party size. It was just the two of us so that felt unnecessary and it brings the rating down a bit for me. Overall, it was a really enjoyable dinner with fresh fish, tasty rolls, and warm service. First timer here & I gotta say, wow! We did the all-you-can-eat and the food was AMAZING. The yellowtail melted in our mouths & the OMG Roll was out of this world. The shrimp boat was also a must. The staff was so quick & extremely nice. Also, it warmed my heart to see that the owner & her family were running the business with the utmost care while we were there. It does get busy on the weekends so make sure to come early before the dinner rush. As busy as it is, I can promise you that all the food was worth the wait!! Waited 45 minutes to be seated. At 8:10 PM they decide to come tell us that last call was at 8:00 PM. They didn't notify us that when we joined their waitlist list. Seeing how busy they were they could've had the courtesy to tell us that they were not going to have time to serve us instead of making us wait. One of their employees even had the audacity to tell us they were almost sitting us down 5 mins before another employee told us we could no longer be seated. My first time at ichis and I am so impressed!! Our server Ella was the sweetest and super attentive. The establishment from the outside worried me before but the inside was very pleasing. My family ordered the miso soup, heart attacks, a few rolls, but my personal favorite was the salmon sashimi. The food was extremely fresh and 100% worth the price. Since Google BLOCKED us from making reviews I came here. SO my husband and I visited this place for the 1st time EVER (6/25) and it was GREAT! We did the all you can eat and each roll was made perfectly , the customer service was amazing and the waitresses and waiter were extremely friendly and constantly checking in on us to see if we needed anything. I didn't get the young mans name who was serving, but I did get the ladies names Ella and Katelyn were superb!!! Even though the restaurant was busy and filled with customers they remained efficient and did everything with a smile on their face. I know most people go to places like this for all you can eat sushi but I wanted a traditional bento box for lunch so I came here. They did not disappoint. The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The teriyaki chicken tasted like something off of my barbecue grill. It was so delicious. Loved the vegetable tempura. Even the miso soup had more flavor than most I've had. I love that it is family owned and operated and that they also serve K-food. This is definitely not your average sushi place. read more

Every piece of fish I had was a hit, unlike some places that have some hits and misses. However, I didn't get the chance to try all the fishes, but from what I had it was great! The muscle was attentively removed from the shell by the chef so it wasn't hard to pull off the shell for consumption. The sampler was a nice addition but I'd prefer a tad more salt on the edamame. The service was wonderful, but the restaurant fell short due to its limited AYCE option that was slightly overpriced at $34.99 only offering Sushi, no Sashimi, limited appetizers, and most items filled with abundance of rice/imitation crab meat to fill you up quickly.
