Went here to dinner with family and it was really good! We got put into a cozy little room that's perfect for groups. They were really accommodating for the little toddlers and babies in our group too. We started with the mussels which were delicious! I usually don't like shellfish but they were great. They had a specials menu that featured Kuushi oysters from Washington - we didn't get them but seeing them on the menu was a surprise because those are usually high quality oysters. I got the chicken teriyaki bento set which is about $24 and came with so much food - miso plus salad plus a half California or spicy tuna roll plus 4-piece veggie tempura. Everything was perfect in terms of portion size, temperature, taste and texture. Even my niece who is a pickly toddler ate and enjoyed a california rol. Everyone in our group loved their sushi. Everything was presented very beautifully and the fish was all fresh. The rice to fish and filling ratio was perfect, no too much rice. We ended our meal with a fried green tea ice cream which was fantastic and perfect to split amongst the four of us after all the delicious food before it. We met the owner who was a really nice guy too. Really surprised to find a solid sushi spot in the middle of the Riverside. I would not mind returning here anytime I'm back in the area! read more

Typically go to AYCE spots, but it was just me and the wife, and we've never tried it. It wasn't too busy but still left waiting for severs for some time. When we ordered, we both ordered 1 specialty roll each. Food took a while to come out, and it was just...meh. Neither was really good, and both left us wanting...something. The price though, for 2 rolls was over $55. We could go to AYCE for just a little more and have had so much more variety and flavor! First time, and definitely last time. No thanks! read more

Absolute favorite spot in Orangecrest. The salmon sashimi, crispy tuna roll, and the beef bulgoki are excellent. They have a wondrous calamari on the happy hour menu. The service is fine, but they can get busy. They also have weird hours, which is so sad when we go there and it's closed. They have decent wine and beer. A relaxed atmosphere. read more

I am blown away by the quality of the fish at Sushi Station. Have I stated that the fish at other places were fresh? Well, I clearly didn't know what "fresh" and "quality" fish truly tasted like. Sushi Station is top tier. With all of the varieties of fish I tried here, every piece was as good- if not better- than the previous one. The chef clearly has a passion for his craft and has pride in what he serves. The environment is so relaxed and fun and there is clear rapport between the staff and the customers. Zero stars. Worst customer service. Walked in right at 5 pm with my son in a stroller. They would not let me sit at a booth with him then wanted to put us in the very back room. They made it very clear we were not welcome. When it became apparent they had to seat us in the main room because back room had a party the guy made it even more clear we were not welcome. He wanted the stroller in the office I asked if I could keep with me. Mind you it's completely empty it's Sunday. Before saying no I asked if they were usually full and he shrugged. Obviously not. It's not going to be filled in the 30? Minutes it would take us to eat and leave. 5:30. So disappointed. The food is amazing. There are plenty of delicious rolls to choose from. Lots of fancy shmancy style rolls starting upwards of $20. I wish they had a cucumber wrapped roll but eh, they have some great ideas for rolls so let's just leave it at that. The SERVICE. Ah! They don't repeat the order back to you and the order is taken on a notepad so if they WRITE IT DOWN WRONG YOU ARE SCREWED! Multiple times I've eaten here and EVERY TIME we came, at least 1 roll or item was incorrect. The waitress makes you feel like you said it wrong even if you pointed to the item on the menu. Owner, my suggestion is use Excel to make the menu where people can either check off which items the customer chooses or have it easier for your employees to not mess up the orders. Also if the order is wrong and it's brought to your attention, why still make the customer pay for the item if it wasn't eaten? read more

It was quite a drive for me to get here but Sushi Station was a destination I'd drive many miles to. First, the fish is absolutely tasty and fresh. I probably tried at least five different types of fish here and all of them left me with a clean finish. The variety of dishes here is also amazing, it's like a tour around East Asia. You have not only Japanese dishes here, but they also made us Chinese and Korean dishes as well! Something for everyone. Plus, they have a great gluten-free menu. Lastly, the service was wonderful. Even though we were in a private room with the doors closed, they never forgot to check on us. We definitely felt like family here. It was nice to see even some of the staff talking to their regulars at the sushi bar. Gives you that personal local feel. Nice sized 4 piece Cali roll and 4 piece Tempura that included shrimp. Tasty salad with miso dressing and miso soup. The rib eye had some decent tender pieces but lots of pieces had tendon and I ended up having to spit out a quarter of it. The comb0 boxes are a bit overpriced at $26. Might not be back simple because it was $90 for our party of 3. Ouch. For lunch! read more

Sushi Station is ALWAYS awesome. I love so much of what I have ever ordered. The lettuce wraps are very yummy!! The only thing I don't really care for is that they put carrot julienne cut into the wrap, so usually ask for them to make my wrap without those. I prefer my lettuce wrap with regular ahi tuna, not the spicy version. I usually top mine with eel sauce. One very special menu item I enjoy at Sushi Station that no other sushi restaurant has is Bulgoki. It's SOOO good!! Absolutely worth trying if you haven't had it. I have noticed that if I order this in a night when it's later than dinner time, it has been a bit in the salty side, but seriously, that's just something to consider when you decide to go to this restaurant for dinner. As locals in Orangecrest we usually only go to Ohana sushi in mission grove but we do live closer to here so we tried them out THREE times and 2 out of 3 times they have messed up our order. First time being that they gave us a shrimp roll when my husband is allergic. And we NEVER ordered anything shrimp in the first place. Second time was correct but still overpriced. This is our third time and they AGAIN gave my husband a shrimp roll and the manager Eric argued with me over the phone about his allergy and implied that customers allergies are not their problem and wouldn't even let me get a sentence in, he was extremely impatient talking over me and not "managing" the situation at all. We never minded paying the extra because it was closer to us but on top of that we have to deal with wrong orders, and rude service when we finally spoke up. Very disappointing. And I'll definitely be reaching out to either corporate or the owner because food allergies is nothing they should argue with a customer about. Smh. read more
