After they take your money, you're on your own. I paid for an extra warranty, but they still didn't want to do very basic work less than a year after purchase. I called to make an appointment, and a grumpy old man answered the phone. He could not find any of my purchase or warranty records. He then got frustrated at me for not knowing how to work his computer. I eventually made an appointment, showed up and was told I did not have an appointment. He even made up really silly dates that I would have never scheduled. He begrudgingly took my trailer. At purchase, I paid for the additional protective exterior coating. I had plastic falling off the outside (due to a terrible manufacturer design) and was told that was not covered. My brakes were not working, and they refused to give even a ballpark estimate without a ridiculous shop fee. My trailer has stickers, indicating multi-colored lights. I was told my trailer does not actually have them. My shower head fell off due to terrible manufacturer design. They begrudgingly agreed to reattach that as a "favor" to me - not because my warranty covers anything useful. I scheduled a pickup date, supposedly to make sure my trailer wasn't "buried" in the lot. Unsurprisingly, it took a while for them to move a bunch of trailers to access mine. Because of COVID and lack of income, we found ourselves needing to get our gorgeous Ford F-350 financially off our backs. These guys are ethically challenged, STAY AWAY! Check out this placard they have on their glory wall, purported to be a review on the Better Business Bureau website. Now go to BBB website and look at the big fat "F" rating that the BBB really gives them, and the slew of negative review there! On the placard they say; "Our vision is an ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other". Did somebody say, "Hypocritical"??? They are not above posting fake reviews about themselves. Save yourself some time and money, and don't find out what else they are not honest about. I wish I had, but I bought an RV from them, and now having to sue them to get them to take it back. Roof leaks, awning fell apart first time used for real, and multiple issues with the wiring. 33 defects and counting of things that would be covered by warrantee if only they would honor their warrantee in a timely manner. read more

Tom's Camperland (Blue Compass RV) Tucson, AZ I dropped off my 2023 Scout Yoho Truck Camper for recall and warranty work on September 30th, 2023. It's now December 6th. 2023. Not once have they took the initiative to contact me and keep me updated on my repairs/timeframe. I've called too many times to count and each time I can never get any definitive language. It's always "Ummmmm.... It looks like.... I think," mentioning things about my camper that were never even discussed so I've had to tell the employee to put me on hold, read over my work order to gather their thoughts, and then come back to speak with me intelligently. It took me well over a month, with constantly calling them for them to even produce a work order for me. Multiple times there were errors in my work order, that caused my camper to just sit there in limbo, and it took me calling to get things fixed and push the work order along. This camper doesn't have AC and I can only use it with my dogs in the winter months. It doesn't look like anything is going to be resolved any time soon and I'm always on hold for quite some time. I'm working with Shay and am not getting any text messages back even though he told me to contact him via his cell phone. Also, their business opening hours are not adhered to, since a meeting is scheduled at the same time as the open hours so you have to wait around for quite some time for any help. I've owned a few RVs and this is the worst service, nonexistent reaching out to customers, and longest turnaround time I've ever seen. Corporate is the next step in this complaint along with the BBB. I'm Phoenix based, but after reaching out to all the dealers here, I decided to widen my search a little.. and came across Frost RV. From the start they were straightforward and helpful, as well as friendly. No sales BS or trying to sell me something I didn't want.. or even hard selling me what I do want. In fact the first thing they wanted to talk about was my English Mastiff "Manny" who I took with me for the drive.. They worked with me and advised me as and where requested to ensure I got what I needed; they were happy to take the time and trouble even though I'm only a low dollar (by RV standards) customer, including showing me around several other models that I didn't want, but so that I could see the features and differences to compare and get perspective. Tom's Camperland in Tucson is absolutely the worst RV dealership we have ever dealt with. The sales ​staff​ are nice and will promise you the moon but after the sale they are unresponsive and everything they promised is either done half assed or not at all. Ryan, the manager, is entirely unresponsive to phone calls and messages. I would suggest if you have an ongoing unresolved problem with these people you file a consumer fraud complaint online with the Arizona Attorney General's office because​ ​it may be your only leverage short of a lawsuit. read more

We had a problem with a slide out on our class C Motorhome. We called around and Gordon the Service Manager at Frost RV was the only one who would even look at our issue before Thanksgiving. We went in and after an evaluation we set up a date a couple weeks out to bring it in. The issue was covered by our extended warranty and Gordon took care of everything from start to finish. Gordon kept us informed throughout the process. We could not be more pleased with the service and customer care provided by Frost RV and in particular their service manager Gordon and his staff. Went down on Saturday and traded in our popup trailer for a Cherokee Wolf Pup 16FQ for a super deal. Mike Orcutt was salesperson, Julian was sales manager and all the Techs were super. They hooked me up with a Furrion Vision S" rear view camera and an EAZ-Lift Recurve R3 Weight Distribution Ball Hitch system that made my 2017 Colorado ride like a dream. I contacted them through their online texting service stating I was interested in a camper van. I heard back later that day and told them I would be in the next day to look at it. I got there, met the person who I had spoke to but he did not ask my name. He then proceeded to take me to the van and tell me that the battery was dead and that we couldn't turn it on. I said I would like to come back the next day with my friend, so we met the service guy to ask if a battery could be put in by then. They said yes. I texted the next morning when they opened to see if the battery was in it yet. He replied no but that they would get one in that morning. I didn't hear back from them all day. I later texted in the afternoon and his response was sorry. They were busy. They lost my business that day, and I have shared this encounter with other people. Run, do not walk from this RV dealer. I found a motorhome online that they had for sale, and being one we had been looking for, I called and spoke to Brenda in sales. After two days of phone calls, me requesting more information than the ad provided, ie: the condition of the rugs, the age of the tires, which I was told they had put a new set on and in fact, they had not. I knew there wasn't a washer/dryer in it, but, was the plumbing there for us to add a washer/dryer? I was told by her that it was there and ready to go. There was not and I was given a rough estimate of $5000 to have it plumbed for a washer/dryer combo unit. Again, more lies. The rig itself was in OK condition but had been very much used. We might have gotten by that, but when I confronted Brenda in the rig, when she finally chose to come and see if we had any questions, it got ugly. I was totally frustrated by having been lied to about just about everything, she made no apologies for her lies, and I became vocal enough to let her know how pissed off I was. I do not like being lied to. Her attitude was totally unacceptable. When I raised my voice to be heard, about how this was a lot of money and I expected to have someone answer questions for me, both truthfully and honestly, she walked out after telling me I was being rude... $70,000, the price of the RV, allows me to be a bit rude when lied to! That was not going to happen. They took this RV in on a trade, if I can believe what she told me, and parked it on the "backlot" until someone was interested it in. I sent 2 texts to her saying we had driven over from Indio California, 6 hours, stayed in a hotel and would come and see the rig in the morning when they opened. We arrived at 830am, they open at 800am, she arrived at 845am, and had to get a worker at the lot to go with her to bring it up to the showing area...something they should have done the night before, so it would have been ready for us to see. No, we waited for 40 minutes for them to go get it, and have mechanics come out to jump it as all the batteries were dead, by then, the thrill of the new RV was gone! We found out after our arrival, that this company takes an RV in on trade, sticks it in the back storage lot, advertises it publically, and does NOTHING to it until some sucker like me shows up...Then the promises start for all they will do. The question, when did you ever buy a car, truck, or Motorhome when it was dirty, with promises that work would be done to it????? Never. PS, with all the obvious customer dissatisfaction, the GM never showed his face, never asked why we were upset, nothing...Nope, Run, do not walk from this place! read more

We bought a avalanche forest river 322rl In March in Tucson relocated to Phoenix in April called Tom's up to ask about my license plate they said it was sent in, finally had the time to sit on hold for 40min with the DMV and ask them about it, they said it was only titled and not registered???? You can pay $1350 for 1yr or 2yrs for $2400??? It took 3 months to get an appointment in order to have work done. I took the RV in on the scheduled day. $ weeks later I called to check the status, I was told by the service manager he would check with the Tech and call me back. 2 days later I was still waiting for the call, this went on for a week as I kept getting jerked around by the service manager. So I went down there in person to inquire of the status, I saw the service manager who was talking to another manager, then He left and the young lady came to speak with me. I told her I need the camper so I could go visit my son who thought he was to be deployed. The young lady assured they would get me in and complete the work in 2 weeks. Well you guessed it I called and no calls were returned, I went in and this time the service manager came forward to say they just pulled it in and it would be ready in the morning, the next morning I went back in and after waiting 2 hours for them to shuffle it out, it was not ready, no parts were ordered, nothing was repaired, but I was told when I returned all the parts would be there. Wow.... Another fine RV dealership in Tucson. I have come to appreciate the smaller dealer in a very large world of RV dealerships. The pricing is great and the RV's are clean. The collective experience amongst the employees is over 100 years so you can get your questions answered easily. Also if you have an RV and you need an appraisal you can get one without hassle. Frost Rv also purchases, buys, and consigns any type of RV and they have a Rental program that is much more reasonable than others I've checked out. The location isn't the greatest and I wish they had a little more inventory but rest assured if you want to avoid the hassle of going from place to place to find that perfect coach then you can let them know what it is you want and they will locate it for you. Nice right? I spoke with owner Bruce Frost and they plan on relocating before the first of the year so customers can see them from the freeway but for now they are selling coaches right and treating people in a way that you hear others say but don't deliver. They treat you like Family and not a dummy. Also I wanted to add that they use a Finance Company called Priority One. What's nice is this company has access to all lenders assuring you the best possible rate. I checked them out and they did have the best rates on our new travel trailer. So check it out! read more

7/18/22. Worked a deal over the phone with the manager of Tom's Camperland in tucson. The rv a 2021 Nexus Phantom with low mileage. The photos on the website show am immaculate vehicle, and I was told it's a beauty, needless to say I was excited and gave them a deposit. I paid a surprise visit to the dealership and asked to see the vehicle. I was brought out to a lot of beaten up vehicles and when I was brought to the vehicle I was shocked. Clearly it was not the vehicle in the photos and was obviously in an accident. Both rear wheel wells were badly damaged cover from storage area missing and molding gone. Interior dash board missing a/c swivels, light cover gone. The damage on the drivers side wheel well was unprofessionally tried to fix with filler or something. The manager acted surprised, this unit I was told by the salesman had been on the lot for a while. Come on the manager didn't know? He was ready to take my approved financing a 15% down and close this deal before I would see it. I just can't believe how dishonest Tom's camperland is. What a piece of junk. I like smaller family type businesses so I choose Frost. I needed my trailer repaired after it was damaged in an inland hurricane while in Iowa. Once I returned to Tucson I saw the trailer was damaged. Frost dealt with the insurance company and repaired my trailer perfectly. We were stuck inside of Tucson with the road trip blues again. But even though we have an old 1967 Kencraft trailer and they sell monster brand new RVs, they immediately took the time to help us with repairing our shower and checking out the propane lines. We were grateful and set off to see Saguaro National Park. Because there's a gravel road we wanted to drive down, we went to unhitch the trailer and *bam* the tongue jack broke. So back we went to Frost, where they installed a new tongue jack, which was a huge effort because the newer jacks are wider than the old ones so they had to cut in to get it to fit. All of this quickly and for a very fair price. And they had great deals on generators so I bought one of those too so that if we are stuck at least we'll have power. 5 stars for Frost RV! read more

We just bought a new RV a few weeks ago the salesman was the best he just asked a few questions on what we wanted showed us what he had and let us make our own decision, with out any pressure. I would highly recommend buying a from here. But buyer beware! When we were doing the finance the lady tried to sell me a five year extended warranty. The warranty was close to $4000. She pressed me to roll the warranty into the loan. After doing the math this warranty would have cost me $14,400. I called the company that sells the warranty myself. The same warranty was only $1700. So do your homework before financing. read more

Brian and Gordon in the service department are the absolute best. We were going to have a cold snap and I needed to get my camper winterized ASAP. Brian got me in right away even when I ran into a couple of issues getting the camper in on time, he still worked me in. Not only did he get it winterized but also fixed a few things that were covered under warranty. That's not the end of my gratitude, I left that afternoon and unfortunately misjudged the height of an awning and messed my air conditioner up beyond repair. I called Brian back and he said bring it on back. They literally got it replaced in a week at a good price. I'm so used to getting raked over the coals by dealerships. That was not the case here. These guys are very professional and compassionate especially when a customer does something that you can only shake your head in disbelief. They were suppose to go through our rig but never did. Bathroom sink leaks, And the line for the hot water in the bathroom sink leaks. Hot water heater leaks. the one slide leaked so bad in the first rain storm so they didn't check the slides all screws were lose on all slides. We had the best experience with our RV purchase. We are from CA and drove to AZ to pick up. Our first experience was online which there were so many pictures of the RV we felt like we had a really good idea of what we were buying. Mike was our first point of contact and was awesome. We negotiated on the phone and felt like we were getting a great RV for the price. Next was Julian from the finance department. We filled out an application online and heard back within a couple of hours with an approval. They had the RV ready for us to pick up earlier than originally promised. When we arrived the RV was exactly what we expected and all clean and ready to go. The paperwork was really easy and we were done within 30 mins. The last step was the walkthrough with Nick. I've had it! I bought my 21 Avalanche from Frost RV a few months before Tom's Camperland bought them out. I have had a few small warranty items in with Tom's for repair. While waiting on parts to arrive, neighborhood kids broke out the back window while my rig was parked there. They ordered a new window and put my RV under cover so it wasn't damaged by last year's monsoon rains. While awaiting the window under cover on the lot, a delivery of new RV's swiped and crashed the front of my rig. Tom's sent it to a body shop after 3 months. I got the RV back after them having it for 6 months and the body work looked good. However, they only fixed one of the warranty items of the three that I had taken it in to be fixed for in the summer of 2021! Within 3 months, the new AVALANCHE decal they put on began to lift around the edges. I brought this to their attention and...crickets! Because of the damage to the front cap and the window, I had to cancel a two month planned trip to the Pacific Northwest in August and September of last year. I've talked to four different managers all of which pass my problems to some lead person who says they are going to get things fixed, then I never hear from them. I even threatened them with a lawsuit and the manager told me they won't do tje warranty work on my rig if I talk to a lawyer. I don't have any choice now but to write this review and seek legal counsel. If you buy at Tom's, don't set your expectations any higher than what this review indicates about their customer service. Then maybe you won't be disappointed like I am. They could and should do better! To this day, my warranty items have not been repaired even though they've had the parts for at least 2 months that I was told. More disappointment! If I could give then zero stars, I would. We bought a new Thor Geneva 25VA motorhome from Tom's Camperland, (now Blue Compass RV). It has numerous problems, especially with the electrical system which the dealership has been unable to figure out, resulting in the batteries being drained when no identifiable load is placed on them. It has also had problems with the slide, and lots of little annoying problems with cabinets and cargo nets just falling apart. We have identified 33 warrantee defects. One of the defects was that Thor did not glue down the linoleum flooring, which is contrary to industry standards for linoleum installations. On our last trip where there was some wet drizzly weather, a leak developed in one of the skylights, and the awning collapsed. It's just one thing after another going wrong with this RV. The dealership has been horrible to work with, taking several attempts and months to fix the various problems. read more

I don't know how this place has anything above a 1 star rating. I just picked up my camper from them. I called in November to make an appointment to have the a/c and some paint issues fixed. Both were under warranty. The closest appointment was February 8th. I brought it in February 8th. In the beginning of March I had not heard from them. I called and left 3 messages over the next few weeks. I never received a return phone call and could never get a hold of a service person or manager. I finally was able to speak with Ryan , who said he knows about the service issues and that thats why he was put in his position" to fix it". Ryan said, I will call you back tomorrow morning when I find out a status on your camper. Two weeks later when I hadn't heard from him, I actually spoke to the service manager (Neal). Neal was finally able to tell me that they haven't even diagnosed the camper yet. This is 2.5 month after I dropped it off! I finally received a text from Neal for follow up. They ordered the wrong parts. Long story long I picked up the camper two days ago. Not one thing was fixed! They had replaced a part that did not work. I'm so sick of not having my camper that I gave up. More than 3 months sitting at their office and more than 6 months after making the appt I have a broken camper. I have never received such horrible customer service! I want my $5k warranty back! It is expired now and that's probably not a bad thing. This place is horrible. Do not get a warranty and Do Not Bring your RV or Camper Here! You will regret it. read more

The phone system for customer service is less than useful and the staff act they are listening then ask your name over and over again. Then actually talking to them is a hassle with little to no communication. Don't hold your breath on them contacting you back either.
