What a fabulous find after a long sunrise hike! We all were starving and got quite a taste. We started with cinnamon home made coffee. So good and warming. We then shared a specials pancake the cinnamon bun pancake. AMAZING! The waitresss made great recommendations. We then all got another dish. The breakfast tacos were just wow. So delicous and full of flavor. We also had a breakfast burger which was huge and delicious. Then we had an avacado toast, so fresh and perfect. And I also got the breakfast omelet with goat cheese. Also delicous and a healthy option. On our way out we got a chocolate chip cookie for the road. I regret not getting more lol. Adorable little surprise inside a strip mail ~ certainly worth the trip. Service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, very informative & helpful. Every one in our group thoroughly enjoyed their choices. Personally, I tried the baked French toast. It was such a comforting option, bread was perfectly soaked with a custard, baked to perfection with a Carmel sauce.... Truly yum! One of my friends selected the smashed avocado toast & added an egg. It looked amazing, she was absolutely pleased. Another friend couldn't decide & opted for two meals that she shared with her husband (after he finished his own breakfast burger). She got the biscuits and gravy & the baked French toast. She started with the biscuits & gravy (thoroughly enjoying it) until passing it to her husband so she could focus on the baked French toast. Stopped in on a holiday weekend and we weren't disappointed. The place was full but we only waited about 10 min for a table. They don't have an obvious waiting area so we sat back in the car. I noticed they have a small area in the back by the restrooms that could be good for waiting if you don't have a car or don't want to wait outside. Coffee was good and plentiful. The breakfast sandwich was rich and had a great kick of spicy ketchup. It could have used a side like some potatoes or a small salad or something but it was less than $8 so I'm not complaining. This place is an absolute gem! The food is always really tasty. The owners & the staff are so nice and they know how to make you feel at home. They also source ingredients locally! The past few times I've gone, I've gotten their breakfast burger. It is hands down the BEST breakfast burger in the area. They also have some fun specials they rotate in. The last one my wife got was the cannoli pancake special. The pancakes looked gorgeous and tasted awesome! Their coffee is also really good here. I'm a big fan of their cinnamon roast. WHY IS THIS PLACE NOT CLOSER TO ME??!!! Well I guess it is a good thing because I would be HUGE! This is another place that sits in a shopping center and you wouldn't think it's AMAZING, but HELLO it is. Oh and get here quick because once they run out of breakfast food they move on to the lunch menu! Walk on in and you will be greeted with amazing aromas, and a greeting as well. It's a very small location and can not hold big parties since they only have two tables that I believe can accommodate 4. The rest are 2 seaters. It's a very cute space. The menu is spectacular. I didn't order anything that I didn't love. Their pancakes are bigger than your face, they have French toast casserole that is basically bread pudding for breakfast (DELICIOUS!), several different bakery items that are also delicious. It's just a win win situation here! They do have items that vegetarians can enjoy but I can't remember if they had any vegan only items. I also believe the orange juice was fresh...but I could be wrong. The waiter we had was very pleasant and was very welcoming to our questions. My girlfriend picked this spot for my birthday weekend and we were both super excited for the menu of fun breakfast options. When we pulled into the parking lot we second guessed our choice since it's located in a run down looking shopping center however the inside is super cute!! It's got home-y, ma/pop shop vibes for sure. We really wanted to try the baked French toast and pancake special which had roasted pears, whipped ricotta, and honey cardamom syrup but both were sold out. We were disappointed but it worked out because then we both went the savory route. I had the breakfast tacos which was filled with peppers and chorizo. The side of beans was very flavorful and I liked that there were peppers and onions mixed in. My girlfriend was really impressed with the amount and flavor of the bacon in the burger. Small but mighty cafe with an appealing and appetizing menu that made it hard to choose! I decided on the pancake special topped with a homemade syrup, crumble, and fresh-crisp apple slices. My spouse opted for two eggs with ham slices and hash browns. I tried and loved the cinnamon infused coffee. Memorable! Portions are very generous and presentation appealing. The husband/wife team were very friendly and inviting. A sign at the entry warned that Seating can be limited, but we had no trouble, and we found other customers to be very friendly and engaging. I can only comment to a take-out sandwich I had, but i'd love to take the time to come back and sit down for a meal soon. I needed some "grub on the go" and called in for their Breakfast Burger one fine Sunday Morning. So this isn't your typical fried egg on a frozen burger patty. The exact description from Kitch-en is "a locally-sourced ground beef & pork sausage patty with gouda cheese, fried egg, layer of crispy onion hashbrowns & house made maple bacon marmalade served on a brioche bun". Uhhh...wow. Awesome sounding burger. And it was awesome. The burger itself was like a mix between a beef lunch burger and a breakfast sausage patty. The Gouda (I would have loved some Cooper Sharp American personally but the gouda was good) added a nice dimension playing off of the maple bacon marmalade. It was quite tasty. It was also a large burger. With that said, $12 for a sandwich with no sides is a bit steep for a breakfast item. Not being able to take in the interior decor and see how the staff was mixed with the cost was the reason for a 4 instead of a 5. I'd say it was more of a 4.25 if I could rate it as such. read more

Overall it was good. We went here specifically because several reviewers said it had vegan items. My friend was a bit disappointed because really the only vegan options consisted off holding the cheese off the veggie sandwich and they also had fries. But I can't really blame the restaurant for that. They don't advertise it as vegan friendly. It's the folks posting on Yelp who are giving false hope. For some reason the gps had trouble finding the location. But it's in a strip mall. The place is very small. They don't seat parties of over 5 at one table. They actually ran out of a lot of food before 1 and had to turn some other people away because they were out of everything. But the food we did get was delicious. The servers were very friendly. They were accommodating and did make things as vegan as they were able. The environment was cute and clean. The decor is charming. Despite it being small they made efficient use of the space they have. The bathrooms are nice as well. I got a burger, fries, and biscotti (I loved them all but ate them before taking a picture). The burger had thousand island sauce, cheese, lettuce onion and pickle. My friends are all vegetarian and/or vegan so they all got variations on the veggie sandwich and fries (some had regular fries and some had sweet potato) which everyone said was good. All in all, I'd recommend it as long as you have a small party. Try to come before noon. read more

The breakfast items are great: love the breakfast tacos! Lunch included a special soup, mushroom with wild rice. The best soup I've EVER had. The location of this place looks a little offputting but once at the door you realize that you are in for a treat. The gentleman let me know that everything is made from scratch. He offered regular coffee or a coconut coffee. The menu has selections for everyone from vegan to gluten-free. I went with the bacon, Swiss and onion quiche, it was delicious. Do not be mistaken by the half empty plaza it's located in, Kitch-en is a gem of a breakfast/ lunch spot. The staff are incredibly friendly, service is prompt and food delicious, the menu catered to our dietary needs. We had the smashed avocado toast, kale hash and oatmeal which set us up perfectly for the day. Try the specialty coffee! I read a previous review that the staff were rude to a BIPOC family who visited and while I am sorry if that was their experience, during our visit I observed the staff being extremely friendly to a group including people of color. He makes you feel as though you're at home in your own dining room. I am quickly seated and attended to. The eating area is small but quaint and cozy. I went to this restaurant this morning 10/17/25) because it was highly recommended to me, by a few people. I have to say that I wasn't dressed in my Best. I had on a mink vest and my pajamas underneath, but they look like loungewear, so you couldn't really tell that they weren't actual outside clothes. I walked in and I wasn't greeted with a warm welcome. The owner and another worker looked at me as though I was panhandling. I asked what kind of muffins they had and he answered me in a matter of fact tone, "blueberry." I asked if they had any scones or another kind of muffin. The look on his face, and the answer said," Do you see another kind?" I agreed to take the blueberry muffin. Before I can say, I'll take it to stay, the owner said this is to go right? I was going to stay, but the approach wasn't so welcoming so I decided to leave. When you have a business and you want people to patronize your business , you should greet them in a friendly manner. I didn't get that there. Because it was recommended to me I expected to find a nice warm, comfy place to eat and receive a warm welcome. I most likely would never visit that place again. I wanted to like it and even after re-reading the description - still want to like it but sadly, it sounds much better than it tasted. All the ingredients were fresh but the burger was lacking in flavor. My lovely dining partner had the biscuits and gravy - green onion/cheddar milk biscuits w/sausage gravy and 2 fried eggs. This was the superior dish as it tasted just as good as it sounds. Highly recommend this one if you find yourself here. The menu isn't huge but everything sounds great. After many trips to the Poconos, we finally made it down for breakfast & it did not disappoint. We ended up with biscuits and gravy, fresh toast, and sweet potato/kale hash. I'm a biscuits and gravy snob and I was a bit underwhelmed. The taste was just ok, but the gravy was very watery (hence the 4 vs 5 stars). The biscuits seemed homemade and were huge. Bonus: they have Cholula, the best sauce for Bs&G. The fresh toast... WOW. I'm also a sticky toffee pudding snob and this was like breakfast sticky toffee pudding. It was awesome! The hash... WOW. Whatever seasoning they use on the veggies is absolutely outstanding. Maybe it's that plus the combo of the griddle flavor, but whatever it is, it's crazy delicious. I think they have rotating coffee. This day they had coconut and it was very tasty. Good service, friendly people, 2 of 3 massively delicious meals. That's a win any day of the week. read more

My husband and I had breakfast here a while back. The food and coffee were really great. The changing menu to reflect the market-fresh ingredients is always a nice touch. The server was attentive enough and we encountered no real issues. However, I absolutely hate the location. This complex is awful. I came out to some random lady leaning against my car (between cars) doing drugs -- and became combative when I told her to please do her thing elsewhere. When we got into the car she smacked it (wtf?). I'm a local -- I don't usually hold this sort of thing against the restaurant, but when this sort of thing is happening at 11am, maybe consider changing locations? Visiting Stroudsburg for the weekend and wanted some good food before we headed back home, so glad we stumbled upon Kitch-en! The owner was insanely friendly and really caring towards his customers. I got the pancakes with chocolate chips and bananas with buttermilk syrup which was incredible. The food was amazing! What a wonderful surprise find as we were on the road for the day. Everything was homemade and local. The color of the egg yolks was glorious. The sausage was flavorful and nice size portion. Had the special of the day carrot cake pancakes and OMG! At first I thought it was going to be too sweet with the topping and was about to ask for another plate to put the top one to the side. But I was wrong. The sausage was filled with so much flavor and the fruit was fresh and delectably sweet. They had a delicious coffee with a hint of cinnamon. It was sooo good. Service was also exceptional. Hello and welcome to this review. Let me start off by saying I worked in hospitality for over 8 years, so I tend to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. However, at kitch-en, the "hospitality" towards our BIPOC party of 8 (which we were happy to split into 2 groups of 4 because they don't serve parties over 5) was nonexistent. They essentially made us feel we should just turn around, leave, and not hassle them with our business when we were happy to work with them on not having our food come out at the same time since there was only 1 cook in the kitchen. After all was said and done, there were 2 customers at a separate table that noticed how the waitress treated our party and said they would not want to come back. *BIPOC: black, indigenous, people of color If you still are hungry after reading this review and support the ill treatment of BIPOC, the pancakes are pretty good. read more
