Last week, I bought a certified pre-owned 2014 Ford Escape from Tom's Ford. I knew what I wanted from doing my research online and I knew how much I was willing to pay with help from Kelly Blue Book. I asked to see Marc Brennan because my husband dealt with him in the past and found him to be fair and honest. I found my husband's opinion of him to be spot on. Not only was he fair and honest, he was kind, understanding, and very reasonable. There were no stereotypical used car salesman tricks and very little haggling. Within 2-3 hours, I traded in my 2010 Ford Focus for my 2014 Ford Escape. I couldn't be happier. Yesterday, while chatting with my neighbor's brother about my car buying experience, I told him that I bought the car from Marc. When he told me that he knew Marc personally and that Marc is a stand up guy, I felt even better about my purchase. I always had Chevrolet's - and a few years ago - just stopping in Tom's Ford - I leased a 2013 Ford Explorer. The whole process went so smooth - I couldn't believe that I was able to pick up my SUV the next day. Then when my lease was up this past month, I walked into Toms Ford again - and Kenneth Gann who was my original unbelievably great salesman - made my turning in my 2013 and leasing a new 2017 Ford Explorer just as uncomplicated and smooth as before. Just bought a certified car from Toms. After having it for a few days I noticed that the battery was showing a red indicator, it's a little glass eye in the top of the battery, if it is good it shows green, yellow if it's weak and red if it's about to fail. Took the car to the service dept. and the girl there looked at me like I had two heads and could not understand what I was talking about. Offered to take her outside and show her but she refused. So my salesman got a so called technician to look at it. He said it was fine after doing some testing on the battery and that all would be ok. I explained that I was going on a trip in two days and didn't want any problems. Anyway they wouldn't change the battery and home I went. So on the day of my trip, guess what, car won't start because the battery is dead. Being a car nut I keep a battery pack in my garage and used it to jump start my car. I live close to Larson Ford in Lakewood and so I called them. They took me right in and changed the battery, no questions asked. So I guess they have a new customer. Oh and also the car I traded in, which was in really nice shape, is now on Tom's used car lot for twice as much as I traded it in for, so that really just adds insult to injury. Don't think Toms will be seeing much of me, family or friends in the future. read more

I continue to return to Tom's Ford for my service for several reasons, 1)I have never had to return for the same issue, 2) easy and quick oil changes, 3) the service desk provides exceptional service. Please steer clear of this dealership. Once they make a sale, you are on your own. I leased a 2012 Ford Explorer which has already been in for repairs more than my 17 year old Ford Explorer. After the 1st month of a 36 month lease the Microsoft Sync (My Ford Touch) keeps freezing up. After multiple software upgrades and system resets, I am told that there is no fix for this problem. I have also been told on every occasion that Ford knows of the problem and is working on it. I also get a distracting windshield noise at 45+ mph. Ford refuses to terminate my lease or replace the vehicle. I called and left voice mails for Bob Lyttle, the owner, on 8/7/13 6:38pm, 8/9/13 9:36am, & 8/9/13 3:51pm thinking that maybe he could lend some assistance with Ford. He didn't even have the courtesy to return my phone calls. There are several other Ford dealerships in the area that you should consider before going to Toms Ford located on Keyport NJ. I have 17 more months left on my lease and am counting the days when I can give the vehicle back. No wonder, more Americans are driving foreign cars. read more

THE WORST DEALER IN MONMOUTH COUNTY FOR REPAIR SERVICE. We changed the battery on our 2010 Fusion. As soon as the battery was hooked up the air conditioning stopped working. We went on-line and found that this is a common issue with the Fusion. When we took the car to Tom's they tried to charge us $600 to fix it. When we complained they told us to pick-up the car, as they would not repair it. Every time you take the car to Tom's for service they try and jack you up on repair costs. We are calling Ford Motor Company to lodge a complaint. read more

Great dealership! I went to All American, but found they were too busy and weren't very helpful. Tom's was completely different. I called ahead and told them I was looking for a fusion hybrid and within ten minutes of arriving at the dealership I was able to pick my dream car. Mike Deblasi was my salesman and he was fantastic. He got me a great deal ( I paid invoice which was cheaper than my employee discount through Ford Partners) and he even offered to get inventory from other dealers if I didn't see what I wanted. I agree with Russ R. My girlfriend has had the same problems with the my ford touch. Sal in service is totally useless. He is clueless about fixing her problem. Her change oil light came on. She went to Toms Ford to have her oil changed. When all was said and done, the change oil light was still on. She went back into the service department to complain and they told her to live with it. They are unable to reset the light. Ford should close this dealership as they are unable to correct their customers problems. Their customer service rating should be no stars or given a failing grade. We will never go back to Toms Ford again. read more

Debbie, our sales professional, made our car buying experience something that you rarely hear.... a pleasure! Her no pressure, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient expertise had us agreeing to a deal quicker than i have ever experienced... and this is my 8th time going through this usually drawn out, almost walking out process to get what i want. I'd like to think that all of the salespersons at Toms Ford share this vision of customer service which Debbie assured me was their mantra. What i can tell you is that all of the staff may try, but Debbie has it down to what it truly is about. Based on the way I was treated by the service department, I would not go back here again. I made an appoint over two weeks ago. It was schedulesd for first thing on Monday 10/8. I dropped the car off on Sunday night. When I called Monday at 12;30 PM, i was told that they " were behind with last mutes appoints received after mine. This appointment was for the same problem that they "fixed" in September. They tried to up sell repairs and parts. When I explained that my extended warranty (from an outside company. That covered 100% of any repairs) was expired and that I only wanted the car fixed for what the had supposedly repair the last trip. The service department "manager" first told me he never had a record of that warranty even though they billed the company and I had no out of pocket expense for the problem. Then he started on a list of things that they vehicle needed before they could find the cause of the problem, THAT THEY SUPPOSEDLY" repair on the last visit. There are many more Ford Dealers All American and Flemington Ford to shop for new cars and utilize for service. read more

I spoke with a salesman named Terry. He told me they had a Mustang GT that I was looking for. I asked him if its been sold yet he tells me no. The very next day before I head over to the dealer but before I did he decides to give me a call. I asked him again if the car hasn't been sold he tells me again no & its still on the lot. I said, good. When I finally arrived to Tom's Ford they tell me Terry is nowhere to be found. So they put me with a another salesman which I didn't get his name because when I shook his hand to introduce myself he just looked at me with a blank stare & said nothing. This salesman mind was somewhere else & not into selling me a car which was his job. So after 10-15mins trying to find the keys we stepped outside to see that the car. Guess what, the car has been sold since YESTERDAY!!! So I went back inside told the nice lady at the front desk when ever she sees Terry tell him thanks for wasting my time driving all the way down there to look at a car that was already sold. read more
