Over the few years the lock unlock function of key fobs stubbornly, randomly & repeadedly dont work. Freehold subaru saw no problem. Front passenger window months ago wouldn't go up. Freehold subaru supposed repaired at a cost to me. Recent cold weather with a brand new battery of 6 Mos old rendered the car unable to start or boost. Vehicle towed to Freehold tire center st freehold NJ, replaced a $400 battery. brought the 6 mo. old battery back to auto zone who load tested and advised nothing Wrong w battery? Not to mention the sub standard BS feature of coming to a stop, foot on brake & engine stopping-starting when proceeding? this is something of concern of being rolled over by an approaching truck in the rear of this 021' outback because 3 times when stopping at a red light the engine shut off and when proceeding, foot off the brake the engine wouldn't re-start & all the indicators on instrument cluster lit up, had to restart the car. Recent event where my wife, 70 yrs old legally disabled- primary driver comes out of a store, starts the outback, puts in reverse to back out of a spot and the car dies. This vehicle is being brought into Freehold subaru south st. Freehold NJ Tues morning Apr. 21st 026' south st and is not being picked up due to it being unsafe to operate. I inquired about a truck last night online spoke with the girl Kim, which they were very persistent get me into the dealership to look at the truck that I inquired about the I received a text message. Am I still coming to the dealership today and I replied yes I will be there by noon time I got to the dealership around noon time and supposedly they sold the truck between 8 o'clock in the morning and 12 o'clock. I find that very odd and if it was the case they could of, had the decency to call or text me and let me know that the truck was installed since I made the appointment and I was coming from at least an hour away and to make matters worse Dylan the sales manager has no customer skills It's very sad to see people like that running a dealership. read more

I can't believe it's back on the market sold a flood damaged Corolla to my girlfriend at full price. Rusty seat bolts, debris all under the carpets, debris in the engine, and chassis completely salvaged looking. They febreezed the inside and called it a day. Smell became lethal and moldy later on. Very disapointed with my experince at Freehold Dodge & Ram. Purchased a Used car from them to later take to a mechanic and they raddle off all the problems with the car. I was told that the car went through a rigorous multi point inspection. Freehold agreed to fix some of the problems, and said the other problems were not actually problems right now, and they'll give me a discount on future services when those problems progress into real issues.... Fastforward to now, My local mecanic just told me, that the "Fix" that Freehold did was so cheap and lazy that, the fix is now broken off and rubbing other other areas creating more damage.. Overall buying experience was ok. I purchased a used 2019 Corvette. The salesman stated that the car had been detailed. It might have been run through an automatic carwash sometime within the previous week. The interior was dirty and the door pockets/console were full of the previous owner's stuff. I was also purchasing from out of state so they said that the tags might take a little longer. Well, my temp tags expired over a month ago and still no tags/registration. I had brought my Dodge Durango in for routine service a few months back and when it was returned to me I noticed that when I got home there was significant damage to my front end. I notified the dealership and they in turn after looking at video stated someone in service hit another customers vehicle with my vehicle. They quickly fixed it but never even attempted to compensate me by even reversing the cost of the oil change done that day. Of course I was angry at the fact that they had committed a hit and run and failed to report the accident at all until I discovered it. I never cursed or even raised by voice during this incident incident but I did give them a negative review when it was sent to me. Today I went in to purchase an extended warranty for my Dodge Charger and was told by the GM "I am sorry to inform you that Freehold Dodge-Ram-Subaru will be exercising our right as an independent business to no longer services your vehicles. This is due to previous interaction with our team." While at service the GM, service managers, three service writers and another guy came to the desk, as a retired police officer I knew that this was a form of intimidation and felt threatened by the situation which in my many visits there was an usual situation. They then threw me out. Would not recommend their service, the sales teams were always great during my 5 or 6 total purchases. When they are wrong and you call them out, this is how they treat you. Apparently the GM did not like something I said over the incident, the owner of the store could not elaborate on exactly why this action was taken and stated he would call me back. As of this time no one has reached out to me to identify exactly what interaction warranted this. read more

My brand new RAM had a pretty bad vibration at speeds over 40MPH. Went to Freehold Dodge RAM to have it checked - after a day of "checking" they called me back giving an excuse that the truck's tires were flat spotted due to spending too much time sitting in the driveway. The funny part was when I went back in and listened to the service advisors talking to other customers - same excuse over and over in both Dodge/RAM and Subaru sections. Spoke with the mechanic directly - he said since you car is still under one year, wheels balancing is under warranty. I'll suggest we try it and maybe it'll fix the issue. They "perform" the wheel balancing. Well at least the invoice states that. I don't know if they have not or just not capable of performing wheel balancing properly but the issue was still there. All they told me was to call Chrysler directly to see if they can resolve the "flat spotting" under warranty. Called Chrysler - they said tires are not under warranty. Call Good Year directly. Fine, I call Good Year and their truly amazing customer service immediately sets me up with an appointment at a local Good Year authorized shop to have the tires checked out. The guys at a shop check the tires and wheels and tell me they don't see any flat spots BUT they remove the wheels and find out that all four wheels are unbalanced and one of they 4 wheels is sooooo unbalanced that it required road force balancing performed. Since it's not a tire defect but a regular service performed (which Freehold Dodge RAM supposedly performed) they charged me $76.And guess what... they issue was resolved by wheel balancing!!! Or should I say re-balancing after Freehold Dodge "balanced" them? I wanted to let Freehold Dodge RAM to do the right thing before calling FCAA. I called them up and left a message with the receptionist. My service advisor Raul calls back. Very calm and speaks nicely and tells me in a nice way that he checked with his supervisor who said they won't refund me anything at all and it's my problem. I reconfirmed twice that they want to have a complaint filed and negative reviews left over $76 and the answer was almost "do what you wanna do". Clearly they don't care for the reputation and I'm hoping this review reaches the service manager and the dealership's GM. Unreal frustration!!! Can't believe this service and claims that the work has been performed. Makes me question whether it was really performed or whoever did the balancing didn't know what they were doing??? Have all the paperwork to support this!!! Beware.... Off to file a complaint with FCAA... read more

We purchased a used Honda Pilot, that which the salesman Bryan told us "we will guarantee the inspection", which was needed in PA I order to get PA tags. We took it immediate today to a PA Honda dealer for the inspection. They did the inspection and could not pass it as it needed needed $1,900 worth of work to ensure road safety before the car would pass PA State inspection. We called Bryan and communicated the status that which he didn't believe us, they refused to speak with the inspection tech and refused to make good on the "we guarantee the inspection" that which was mention 2 if not 3 times while we were in the process of buying the car. Tonight we drove an hour back in snowy weather and returned the car. I recommend that if you want to do business with a reputable car dealer-- do not shop here! read more

My appointment day arrives only to receive a call from the service dept telling me that they no longer have the capabilities to do a diagnosis of my truck. that they got rid of that program. I was recently in an auto accident and needed a new car, I locked in on a 2014 Dodge Challenger that was listed online at a great price. I called and was told that the car had a deposit but if it was released i would get a call. To my surprise and excitement, I got a call/text from Debbie(From the internet team) a couple of days later that the deal went through, the deposit was released, and the car was ready for sale again. I ran over to the dealership(sent my parents early to basically lay on the car for me until I was able to leave from work). From there Roger Domis took care of me like I was his own son. I prefer to have my family mechanic look at the cars I buy, I trust him, but it has cost me a few cars over the years because most dealerships wont let you take a car off the lot to be inspected. Well, not only did Freehold Dodge let me take it off the lot to be inspected, I was able to take it to my mechanic over 15 miles away. That is how I knew I had the right dealership and the right salesman. After the inspection, my mechanic told me if I didn't buy this car he would, so I knew I was getting something great. When I returned Roger walked me through everything(it was my first non-cosigned car buying experience). I left my down payment that night, came back the next afternoon to finish signing papers and to pick her up. They detailed her beautifully and gave her a full tank of gas.
