I tried the Beef & Veggie Pie and it was filled with delicious mix of ground beef LC carrots, peas, potatoes and gravy. I was so full I couldn't eat my peach pie. Very friendly staff who made recommendations as to which pies were most popular and made sure we had all we needed for our to-go order I had the Oreo cheesecake fried pie and oh my goodness, this should be world wide and at every fair that exists! The crust was flaky and delicious and the filling was creamy without being too rich. Glad I don't live nearby or I'd be 1000lbs. Visiting from California and my Grandmother and her friends really took a liking to this ​business so since we were in the area she suggested we bring close to a dozen back home​. Great to see an​ ole fashion stable in the community. Very historic foundation even in the new building that they relocated to. All the host and employees were truly helpful, kind, and friendly. We are driving back home, and we ordered a variety different kinds of pies. Finally tried Tim's after years of trying to stop. It's a really cool place kinda nostalgic with the inside table and set up. Service was easy. The waiter at the counter explained the process and that they could make my order fresh in about ten minutes. We ordered apricot, pecan, bbq, apple and blackberry pies and each one was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the bbq fried pie. The dough is light and fried to perfection. Our pies didn't make it back to our home I would definitely try more whenever I'm in the area. read more

Stopped by Tom's today to pick up some Pies to bring home for my family. I love their fun little restaurant. They have a neat patio area with games, and the inside is decorated with license plates and vintage decor. This is one of those places that doesn't have a million options, but what they have (Pies!) they do right. Tonight we had the Roagie & the Tex Mex meat pies. I also purchased some Apple & Peach pies for dessert. The cashier was very helpful and made sure I had all the condiments I needed. I have always wanted to stop and try Tom's Fried Pies and finally I got the chance to. I got the chicken and Broccoli pie and the blackberry pie. I learned from Tom, himself, that he cooks the pies in peanut oil. The recipes were his mother's but were tweaked by his wife. The crust is delicious and the pies come out hot. Hubs got the peach pie and the Roagie. He loved them both but the peach was his favorite. Tom came and talk to us and totally won us over.. He is a super friendly older gentlemen with plans to add a food truck! We will be back to try the other flavors! read more

When I came in, the store was clean. I was immediately served. I got the peach pie and pina colada pie. The filling was good. I have a complaint about the greasy taste of the pies. I don't know if it can be fixed or if the oil needs to be changed. read more

I am so glad that my husband passes Tom's Pies when he's on the road traveling. They are made fresh to order and are beyond delicious. Their new location has quite a bit of charm. I just hate that they were out of chocolate pies tonight as that is always one of our favorites. We always order: pizza, chicken & vegetable, chicken & broccoli, roagie, and Tex Mex. The dessert pies are always a must as well. We love the peach, blackberry, chocolate, pecan, and sweet potato. These pies travel well since he usually buys a few dozen and brings them back to Birmingham and they're amazing heated up. Tonight, we get to enjoy freshly made in their new restaurant. Who doesn't love fried pies?! We wanted a different restaurant but by a twist of fate, ended up here. They have both savory and sweet pies. We tried a sampling of both. Ordered a dozen. My favorite was the broccoli chicken! The barbecue was a tad on the sweet side. The best dessert pie was the strawberry cheesecake. Service was good, all teens working. The restaurant is tiny but has an outdoor patio that could have been good had it not been really hot. All in all, I'd recommend a stop in if you are passing through! read more

We went 1.5 years ago and unfortunately they were closed due to a fire in the strip mall where they were located. They've since moved to a new location on the same road. Nice little store. If you wanted to hang out with friends they have some games to play. Pies are on the higher priced side, but the pecan is totally worth it. They aren't extremely sweet. The dough has a perfect amount of flake to it. Staff was very sweet and nice as well. Stop by for a pie. read more

I debated on leaving this review because I was being selfish. It's a hidden gem . Thankfully a co worker let me in on the secret. These fried pies are addictive! Omg so good. They have meat pies and desert pies . I had the chicken and vegetable pie for lunch and it was delicious! I've had the strawberry cheesecake, my husband loves the apple and the peach. They have many to choose from. I've yet to try the chocolate because it's always sold out. If you're dieting , just drive on past this place. Highly recommend ! read more
