Use to come to Toms a lot when i lived near. Today decide to go use Tom and it has changed a lot, the prices are ridiculous but anyways. i used the dryer to dry comforter,sheets,blankets,towels and i was shocked only 8min for .50...anyways i used the card and put 24 min and machine started but i realize i need more time do i add card again and the damn dryer stopped! and wiped out my previous minutes,so i went to tell the person in charge,she was annoyed that i knocked on the door! i told her situation that machine stopped but i had put money on it,so she came looked and said in broken english,that i need to use card 8min only! i told her it was on 24 min and unexoectedly stopped when i tried to add more time.so she looked at me sideways with a frown and repeated,i need to use 8 min only. i know if Tom the original owner would have restarted the machine or refunded wo any question. so i was disappointed that she dont speak english well,dont understand or just couldnt give me my money back that was lost in the faulty machine. another machine i used with 24 min didnt dry clothes well ay all. those people are ripoff with those prices. read more

Tom's Laundromat has been a Hayward stable for decades. I've been coming here for years! With Toms being one of the fewer larger laundromats around it's definitely nice having it in my backyard. When Tom (the original owner) was alive and running it, the place felt extra special. Tom used to have a collection of Disney (VHS) movies for kids to watch under the folding tables while parents got laundry done. It was our favorite place to go and "get away" for a bit with mom. It was and still is a family friendly business with games, vending machines for snacks and multiple tv screens to watch something interesting lol With plenty of 125 lbs washer machines, ample space for folding clothes, it's definitely the ONLY place I can come and get everything done all at once. Staff is always onsite if any issue arises. They have laundry detergent and drying sheets available for purchase, if needed. Tom's is under new management and the owner is a very friendly approachable man whose goal for the place is to keep its originality while giving it a more modern look to it. He is currently remodeling the whole place. As of recent, he gave the outside and inside a fresh coat of paint with a lovely royal blue color and white. Change is always good! I used to come here when Tom was alive and working, he was always so sweet and happy to help. These new owners talk down to me as if I'm not the one giving them business? The owner literally took my card, started a new dryer without even telling me. I told her the stupid card readers aren't working and she made me switch dryers, ALL for her to waste my money on a NO TEMP DRY?? I didn't think I could find a better washer than the one at home but these really get the job done. I was rushing one Saturday morning and on my way to Lees laundromat I notice Tom's laundromat. I stopped just to see the prices and to my surprise not only were the prices better than Lees, they took cash and credit!!! At lees I had to stop at the bank first and than use the cash to add to my Lees laundromat card. I stayed and used two of the $6.25 washers that had sooo much space I ended up only two loads where I usually do 4 at Lees. Toms looks small but it has plenty of washer and dryers. The clothes came out sooo clean Made my Saturday so much easier. Dryers are 25cents for 7 mins but you really only need 35-40 mins. I spent over all $16 which is Amazing. I have bin coming here since last year and always left no complaints. Come here they provide best services and is clean. I have been coming to Tom's since he had a laundromat on A Street. I also like the new washers that the new owner has put in. However there are a few things that kind of bug me and I guess I understand why but something should of been posted to let the customers know. So I get there early and it has never been a problem going in before 7am but now I have to wait till 7am even though there is someone there I don't understand why this person can not let customers in if it is earlier then 7am. But it may be a safety thing too. Also I used the heavy soil and extra rinse on the machines which I have never been charged for before but now it is 1.50 extra to use this service and I understand because of the cost of water but something should be posted to inform the customer of the increase. But the new washers are nice. Also need more tables to put you clothes on when putting them in the washers.Thanks read more

Walking in there You May Feel Like you're walking into an Old School Laundromat (so cool), but then you realize it's pretty High Tech. You can still use Quarters, but you can also use Apple Pay. You can still sit down and talk to a random person about FaceBook vs. Twitter (that was my conversation), as you wait for the 4th Drying Cycle to finish... Awesome place! Probably the best laundromat I've ever been to! After a infestation at my apartment complex, I needed to wash everything I owned. 1b) with their 125 pound washers, I washed approximately 6 large hampers and 3 large camping backpacks full of laundry in 2 washers, with an estimated total of $28 (had I gone to my old one, I would have had to use 7-10 small at $6 a piece). 1b) The have several 125lb washers (at least 4), and many 90lb washers. 2) They have an arcade that you can play while you wait! 3)They had Wi-Fi. (I didn't use it, but it was nice to have handy) 4) The lady working there was super helpful! 5) They have these little alcoves under the folding tables where your kids can watch cartoons, in addition to the TV's placed around the building. 6) They have several laundry carts and a convenient corral outside. 7) The bathroom was pretty clean. 8) All the machines take debit cards. It was so nice not having to carry a ton of quarters. 9) The customers seemed nice and respectful. Cons: the driers didn't seem hot enough after 49 mins, some clothes were still damp (I had to place in the bathroom and turn the bathroom heater all the way up). Even though I have a laundromat at my complex (which I never use) and one within walking distance (which I always went to). This location is my new home! read more

Antioch's Tom's Laundromat is disgusting. The assistant manager was a Mexican guy with a heavy Spanish accent...And English is his second language so it was hard for me to understand him completely. He was contradicting himself and gaslighting and accused me for stealing people's laundry detergent. He explained to me that it was ok for me to share a laundry basket and laundry detergent with everyone. And then he switched on me and started yelling at me saying that I can't share laundry detergent's with everyone. I also told him that I would like to speak to the manager. And he said that he doesn't know when he's available. I also asked him the name of his manager and he told me that he doesn't know. He was so rude to me that he completely ignored me while I was letting him know that I did not steal someone's laundry detergent that he started texting his girlfriend on the phone and ignoring me completely!! THEY HAVE FREE STREETFIGHTER! Need I say more?... No, but I will. It's a gigantic laundry mat with gigantic washers and dryers. But who cares about the washers in dryers? THEY HAVE FREE STREETFIGHTER! The place has lots of old school video games, no $ needed, Also widescreen tvs, with remotes (they are glued to the table but still you have control), cool vending machines (some with bobbleheads!) AND FREE STREETFIGHTER! So our dryer broke. Well, actually the gasline to the dryer is broke (bad). Anyway, so we went with 2 large loads of soggy laundry. A quarter gets you 10 minutes in the dryer - we divided it into 3 dryers, stuck 3 quarters in each and played FREE STREETFIGHTER for 30 minutes. We probably played 15 rounds. (I won most of them). We spent $2.25 on laundry (30 mins was more than sufficient). If a round cost 25 cents usually, we got them for 15 cents each (if my math is correct). WE SAVED MONEY AT TOM'S BY PLAYING FREE STREETFIGHTER! Need I say more? read more

The layout is pretty weird inside but theres tons of different size machines. You can use prepaid cards, credit cards, and coins to pay. They also have a bunch of arcade games free to play while you wait which is awesome! I knocked off one star for ambience. I know its a laundromat but its outdated and has too many random decorations. They also provide drop off laundry service also at $1.10 a pound. I would like to try maybe one day but we shall see I like doing my own laundry. I would defin come back if I have tons of laundry to do. Its also kid friendly and the kids have games they can play while you wait. read more

All the bad reviews are unfortunately true. The owner GENUINELY does not care about their customers. I came in at 9:03PM to do one simple load of laundry and he told my fiancé and I to basically get the f*** out because the last wash is at 9:00PM only 3 minutes before I arrived. I asked kindly to please let us wash since it would take us max 1 hour, (they officially close at 11:00PM) and he laughed in my face.
