I came in at my 4pm appointment time. I waited and waited, at 5:15pm my car was still not done. I watched people, who walked in come and go, and they left my car on the lift with the front tires off, for about an hour. I explained i have plans, Emilio just shrugged and said they don't give a time estimate for completion. It is now 5:35 and he is just now getting to my tires. Sam's just doesn't respect you, or your time. I don't know when I will get my car. I am so upset, and they just plan don't care. This place desperately needs to focus on the cafe. Total wreck today. Rude employees who could not care less about customers. I sat and watched as my boyfriend sat in a long slow line to order our food. I watched the food take forever for everyone and I watched multiple people leave the line because how ridiculous it was. Over half of the sodas were out of syrup and the ice was out on two of the machines, and I watched this kid notify the worker and she could've cared less and didn't even pass on the word to anyone. I use this Sam's Club as my corner store. It is hit or miss on its items sometimes. I do love their scan and go totally cuts down on the time run in and run out. I only go during the daytime for safety. I park as close as I can to the front door. Customer service has never given me any problems. The pizza line is getting a little long for me, but you can't beat the price, now you can call ahead and have it ready. That's awesome. read more

During our week here, we had been to this place three times. SERVICE - We haven't had a problem with service here yet compared to the other reviews. Everyone we encountered seemed to be fairly nice. PRODUCTS - We were looking for specific items each time we were here such as a portable heater, water, a Fitbit, a swinging chair, etc. We found everything we needed each time except for the summer sausage. We had saw it two days before but the third day that we went, they were completely sold out. Bummer. This place just reminds me of Costco in California. Lots of things in bulk! read more

This review is for the gas station at Sam's. Traffic flow is horrendous!! It's chaotic! There are directional arrows clearly marked yet constantly ignored and never enforced. When I questioned the attendant he told me they are not allowed to enforce it per their manager. He also mentioned the manager told the attendants to just "let the customers duke it out." Really Sam's? That's your solution to this chaotic mess at your pumps? Do better! Costco has obviously surpassed you in customer service! read more

I ran out of fuel in the Sam's parking lot, far from the fuel pumps. I went inside and figured if anyone would know how to help me, it would be the tire guys. The guy at the tire desk was super nice and called someone to help. A guy named Jared (pretty sure he was management based on how nicely he was dressed) came to my aid. He grabbed a Jerry can and siphon and came out to my car and put enough fuel in it to get me to the fuel pump. He was super helpful! He had to tell me that it was him personally helping me, not Sam's, for liability purposes, I'm sure. But I can't rave enough on how awesome he was! He was so helpful, especially in 104° temperatures. The man deserves some kind of accolades and recognition! He wouldn't let me pay him, so I hope Sam's will take notice of this incredible employee! read more

The tire department at this location is an abomination. I had an appointment to install 4 new tires. It has been three hours and I still don't have my tires installed. They are either woefully understaffed or incredibly incompetent. I am unsure of which st this time. I have bought hundreds of tires over my lifetime and have never had such a poor experience. I will pay more to go somewhere else next time. This has cured me. read more

Ever since they moved several years ago, now, I stopped going due to the difficulty getting in on the road system where they moved. It is daunting finding just the right exit and getting into the parking lot without getting side-swiped by another vehicle. I really enjoyed the old store but ended my membership once they moved. Not sure what the thinking was but the old store was fine. Since I live in Sweetwater the distance has increased too and it just is no longer worth the drive. I might consider joining and shopping again if they would build closer or a Costco would open near my home. The thrill of shopping at Sam's is outweighed by all the inconvenience. To Mr. Nathan Hobart. I tried to call you today to speak to you but after having let the phone ring for over two full minutes TWICE with no answer I decided that this was the only way I would get to address you!! I am just fed up with your greeter. I know she is a sweet lady and she has been your greeter forever but she has crossed the line one too many times with me! A few months ago I was greeted by her as I entered the building. She looked at my membership card and said I didn't have the new card. Concerned that my card would not work I took the application she handed me and stood in line for over 20 minutes to "get the new card." When I finally spoke to the lady at the customer service desk I found out that what I was actually doing was applying for the Sams credit card. I asked her if my membership card still worked and she said of-course it does. There is nothing wrong with the card. I told her I had enough credit cards and did not want another one so I tore up the application and got my shopping done. I was very upset to have been told I needed a new card and wasted almost half an hour only to find out it was a sneaky way to try to get me to apply for a credit card I did not want or need!! I felt that I had been purposely misled and I am sure using that tactic the greeter gets a nice chunk of change in her wallet from sign up bonuses. I was very upset about having my time wasted like that. I was mad but I went home and forgot about it. Today I went in again and showed my card to the same lady. She said, do you have the new card? I informed her that I had just gotten a new card last week so I was sure it was current. She looked at it and said, oh no you need the new card and took it out of my hand and took off with it! I followed her to the display where she pointed to a picture and said "see this is the new card. You need this card!" I suddenly remembered my experience months before and became very angry that she was trying the same thing on me again! Trying not to be rude I tried to get my card back from her but she played a nice game of keep away while she explained I needed the new card - mine was not the new one. I finally snagged it out of her hands and said, this is my new card - I just got it last week. I do not need a new card. She continued to insist that I needed the new card. Finally out of frustration I held up my card in front of her face and said "THIS is MY new card!" And walked away - all the while she was still yelling behind me "No! No! You need the new card!" as I walked away! What she is doing is nothing short of fraud. She is telling people they NEED a new card when in fact they do NOT! It wastes people time and misleads them! This needs to be addressed as if this happens a third time I will be ordering my business supplies online, cancelling my card, and never shopping at Sams again! To take a persons card out of their hand and play keep away with it so you have to listen to them is unacceptable and bad business!! read more

This is my go-to store for everything. From great produce and meat to super cute clothes at bargain prices, it's about as good as it gets in Abilene, TX. We don't have a ton of options here, so I enjoy the selection and value of the products here. The gas is always the cheapest in town as well. Add that to a good south side location without a lot of panhandlers asking for money (like the north side stores), and this is my favorite place to shop. The membership fee isn't all that much, and it's totally worth it. If you usually pay the high supermarket or drug store prices for the same items, you will easily get back your $50 membership fee in just a few months! read more

This review is for the Sam's Club Pharmacy. I just moved my long-term RXs to another pharmacy; I cannot put up with the snippy technician Tilda. I ask a question, and need to understand something about my numerous RXs and refills, and time and time again Tilda is very rude and snippy. That's crazy! So I will not give Sam's RX my business. I normally dread coming to this sams based on one greeter, she is always snappy and demanding. I preferred placing a pickup order so I don't have to deal with her. But finally, this time she didn't say anything to me. Anyways, I'm giving them 5 stars based on my experience the other day. I placed a pickup order. But before I picked it up I ran inside for a few more items, all the employees inside the store are very friendly, they make a point to say "hi, how are you today?"after I was done shopping the employee scanning receipts offered to help me to the car and unload. I was holding my ten month old at the time. I declined. Loaded my things and got my pickup. The same employee who was scanning receipts brought my items to my car in a timely manner, and said "hey, your tire looks low pull over to the tire shop doors and ask them to fill it up" I said okay, thank you! So he left, and I drove over there, in this time he had loaded two more cars up with their groceries. Made another point to walk over to the tire center to talk to the mechanics about my tire, as I drove up to the tire shop. This employee went above and beyond his basic duties, I'm pretty sure his name was Miguel. So thank you Sams and Miguel! read more

This is not a review of the store in general, just a review of the deli deals. I'm a big fan of Nathan's hot dogs, but the ones they serve are quite bigger than what I've bought at grocery stores. $1.50 for a great hot dog and a 20 oz(?) drink, add a bag of chips for 80 something cents, top with some really good sauerkraut, diced onion or pickle relish, plus your choice of mustard, ketchup or mayo makes this the best lunch deal in town. They do a very large pizza slice and drink as well for $2.49. I've had the supreme only and it was very good. If I'm in town shopping and don't feel like a big meal or spending 10+ bucks for lunch.....you can't beat Sam's. read more

They don't answer the phone. They don't do returns correctly. You have to wait to exit.

Each time I have used Sams gift cards at self pay, machine gets error. Have to wait for long time and the machine has to start all over. This has happened to me dozen times. The print out is of poor quality at self check out. Reported it several times. Just simply apology and no change. Sams club have the worst customer service and difficult to get one. I hope Costco moves to Abilene and with loss of customers they may change. Sams Club take of granted they can get away with lousy customer service. read more

Do NOT order glasses from Dianne in the optical center. She can't give me a straight answer to when my glasses will be ready, oh and not the first pair which SHE screwed up, but the replacement pair. As soon as I out the first pair on I told her I couldn't see, everything was blurry. She said to give it a week!!! Hello! I've worn glasses for 25 years, I know the difference between bad lenses and adjusting to a new pair. Two days later I was back at the optical center for the bad glasses. Dianne was there and screwed the frames up by bending the crap out of them. The nice lady working with her came up to me after I left the optical center, after getting no where with Dianne, and said she would order me new lenses. I thanked her. I went back in three days after that and unfortunately the only person there was Dianne. She couldn't tell me if the lenses had been ordered, only that the other lady was working on it. When I asked how long would the lenses take to come in she said a little longer than it took for my glasses (which surprised me, that's awful!!!!). I asked how long that was because I had to go in to find out when my glasses were ready because she had written down the wrong phone number and I never got the call. She said maybe a couple weeks. If they hadn't already taken my money I would just tell them to forget it. I'm giving them 48 hours until I ask for a refund. read more

Something is very wrong with this club. Items that should move quickly are often out of stock. I have been stopped TWICE to tell me that an item was not on the receipt. I don't know how things are missed when you depend on someone at the register checking you out. I was told that I could go to the service desk and pay for the item that was missing, but no thank you...the line is always long and the wait is horrible. The last time an item was missed, a "manager" was behind the cashier checking us out berating us for not joining up for some sort of extra savings that we would have to pay for in addition to our membership fee. His hard sale on the program was very distracting! This could be a great club being the only one in Abilene. But...it is not! read more

Some good, some bad: I enjoy looking thru the store, they have so much stuff to look at. But they don't answer the phone, their service is awful and many of the employees are not knowledgeable about the products they sell and forget about finding someone to help with questions or help you load a large item. My suggestion to Sams would be to charge a little more if you need to and give better service. read more

This is sams is a LOT better than the ones back home. We moved from midland/Odessa. Usually the tire department back in midland/Odessa. No matter if it's a minor tire fix wait time is usually 5 to 6 hours! Went in. They actually have employees willing to work. I have been a faithful Sam's club member for many, many years. However, it has now gotten to the point that I am done. I can't simply check out without them hassling me about the cash back program. I dont want it! I have said it over and over and over but their people are so set on upselling it that checking out is ridiculous. The final straw with me is how they handle the exit process. I am tired of being made to feel like a thief. I moved to self checkout because they told us we did nlt have to wait for the person at the door if we did. Yet I have been called awful names and had them yell to get my attentuon multiple times at the door. I have never had anything negative to say about Sam's Club... Until now. I gave Sam's 3 stars because I do love shopping there when I have to buy things in bulk, tech items, furniture, cakes, and I enjoy grabbing lunch/dinner there from time to time. Their hot dogs, pretzels, and pizza are delicious. I even enjoy the convenience of ordering pictures online to pick up at the photo center within an hour, but last night and today the photo center & manager? (When she answered the phone she said it was the manager's desk I believe) disappointed me. I called twice the night before about 6pm, asked to be transferred to the photo center and both times it rang and no one answers. Ok, I knew I would try again today. 1st call at about 10:30am, I was supposedly transferred and let the line hold me for over 30 min.... I called a 2nd time, got transferred, rang a while, manager's desk picked up, she said the photo associate was at "receiving" and would be up there to answer my call in a moment...... Over 30 min later, after it sounded like someone had picked up and I awkwardly spoke into the silence that if anyone was listening, I was waiting to speak to the photo center.... Miraculously, a minute or two later, the woman at the photo center finally picked up. I honesty allowed myself to stay on hold because I wanted to find out how long I would have to hold. Now, I understand sometimes places get busy but... Over 30 minutes to wait to ask a question? I have worked in customer service, so I understand when I was so busy, it was easier to not answer the phone, but I never did that. If I knew the person on hold was waiting before the person at my desk, I would politely ask the person in front of me to wait a moment while I take care of the call that has been waiting on me. It's called common courtesy and something all companies I have worked for have stressed. So, I love Sam's Club. I will still shop there, but today's experience left me wanting to write this review because I'm so surprised that I still get surprised of the lack of common courtesy in the world today. Not impressed with this club. I'm used to clubs like Costco and BJ's. Only a couple of organics (which is the most important to me,) gas was only a one cent savings and service was not good. They have a few good people there but you're only as good as your worst. I will be cancelling my membership. No value in it unless you are a business owner or eat garbage. read more
