I'm going to take off a star based partly on my experience today. I bought five new tires for my fifth wheel yesterday and set up to have them put on today. I arrived at the appointed time, even about 10 minutes early and got my paperwork finished. I waited about 45 minutes and went outside to see how it was coming - since you can't put an RV in their bay. I didn't see anyone working on it, so I went back inside. I waited another 20 minutes and checked again. Still nobody working. So, I wait a while and go out again. Still nobody, so I talk to the guy that sold me the tires the day before. He goes out and checks and they had replaced the tires, but no one had told me. I don't know how much time I wasted, because I don't know when they finished; but I'm guessing it was in that first 45 minutes. Would have been nice to know. I'm still a fan of Discount Tire. I've bought at least 7 sets of tires there - I've lost count beyond that. Always got decent prices - sometimes great prices - and they are always good to deal with. Flats fixed free, good warranty, free rotation... What's not to like? read more

I was torn as to what to rate them as they are generally nice people and I do not like giving nice people a bad review. Unfortunately after the experience I have had I have to do so. I ordered new wheels and tires for both my new 2024 RAM 2500 Limited and my wife's Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The initial install went great aside from them leaving all my new wheels and tires a mess from the install. Hey, these things happen, but is disappointing when spending that much on nice new things. What is causing this post is I took my truck in for a rotation and while doing so one of the techs didn't pay attention and broke off a wheel stud with his impact gun. They told me they did it and gave me info to get it covered, but unfortunately I had to handle finding a shop and handle getting fixed, taking a 1/2 day off from work. Then it was a pain to get reimbursed - not at all a good experience. Zero customer care. A few weeks ago it was time for another rotation and this time I decide to have the dealership do it as part of a service. I immediately get a call asking who last worked on my tires and wheels. I ask why and they proceed to tell me (2) of the studs are broken off 1/2 way inside the lug nuts. The opposite side from where the previous tech had broken a stud. I had to pay to have dealer fix and then when I try to contact Discount Tire, I either get left on hold or leave a message that is never returned. This happened multiple times. I decided once again to try contacting Discount Tire before leaving a negative review and Josh is not available so I speak with Derek. Derek seems to actually take an interest and I explained everything to him and he agreed to reimburse me for the costs caused by damage. Just needed a receipt. I let him know I was traveling and would get with him later in the week. I called him and due to our schedules not aligning I emailed him the info and asked for a confirmation that he received what he needed. Now radio silence. I have tried numerous times to reach him for the past week or so, 10+ rings for someone to answer the phone, sitting on hold for 10+ minutes, I have now decided my time is worth more than this effort and money. I have posted a picture the dealer sent me, I do not have a picture of the original damage. Yes everyone is nice, but the reality is I cannot trust them to work on my vehicles nor do they seem to have their business running in a fashion focused on customer service. Then didn't repair it, only put air in the tire, and told us he fixed the flat. 2 days later, the tire is low again and I found the screw still in my tire. We were on a road trip and stopped at this store and will not be back. He lied to our faces and documented in their system it was a repaired flat. I replaced the tie rod ends, ball joints, and lower control arms on my 1998 Toyota Camry so I brought ii in to get the wheels aligned. They were able to adjust the toe-in but not the camber. This was unusual. IF they had told me that beforehand I would have checked around to see who does that adjustment. ASK them before you start! Tyler was the wheel alignment guy and he was VERY helpful but the camber adjustment was beyond his capabilities. I did find on YouTube how I can adjust it myself. Great price! read more

Had a tire go bad on my trailer, it was one of four, and they were all over 10 years old, so I went online and found the tires I needed. Bought them online set up an appointment, and when I got there, they were ready to go, they replaced all the tires, balanced and torqued properly. This isn't the first time that this store has failed to provide satisfactory services. There is a Deaf woman in front of me waiting 20 minutes to have her tires checked and updated. No one showed up. I had to notify the employees about this situation and was promptly cussed out on the spot. I asked for a supervisor and he/she refused to show up. This store need to brush up on ADA law. read more

I have visited the store four or five times it's never changed. I pull up roughly 10:45 by 11:00 I'm finally seen. I simply stated this need a balance all four tires. I would like the rear tires on the front French on the rear and over my keys. 3 hours later truck still sitting in the same spot two other people well I'm going to say several other people walked in after me and got new tires. The service was horrible! I sat at least 25 mins just to get service for my tire! Granted I know it's memorial weekend but I feel like at least someone could've been there while I was waiting for air for my tire! Then I walk in the gentlemen at the counter told me to hold , then one of his friends come in and cuts in front of me! Then when finally he assist me he says someone will be outside for you! Try again no one NO ONE ever came! Then the same gentlemen that was at the front comes outside laughing with his homeboys ... I am displeased with this location! I've never had a bad experience at Discount Tire but especially at this location! Cruze, Kain, Jon, all the guys are great! I ordered online because the tires I wanted weren't in stock but shipping to the store was super fast plus they usually have about the best prices you'll find anywhere! We've also had plenty of tires repaired there (always for free) and they always come out perfectly! We were buying 4 new tires so they checked the alignment (for free) and made a little correction (not free)! They're always easy to work with and they always do great work! read more

Two days before Thanksgiving, all the stores were packed the traffic was up and my low pressure light came on my car. I didn't know what to do. I called my son and he told me to go to discount tire they would fill it if it needed to be filled. I would change it if it needed a spare all for free. (You know I came from the day of service stations )and I didn't know what else to do. I got in line to get my tires checked and a guy coming to work name Justin noticed my tire Had to have more than air put in it so he said. Let me save you some time and put you here and find a guy to take care of you. What he did I was really grateful because my car was packed full of groceries. I had my sister with me and my dog with me. Brandon came out just to make it short. I couldn't have asked to be treated any better I couldn't have asked for a faster response. I did not have the money for a new tire. My spare didn't look good. I had to drive all the way to Anson. He said I want you to be safe. I'm gonna put this tire on your car . It's brand new and I'm gonna take care of your bill. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to burst out in the tears. I was so thankful. They were very good to me. And took care of me in 30 minutes total. I got home with all my grocery still good. I'm very thankful for that day that God sent me to that store to those people. Everyone I encountered was so nice and polite. All the techs looks so clean cut and we're just getting the job done. I just can't say enough about the kindness that was extended to me. And I really do thank God for that. read more

My wife had a slow leak and they wouldn't fix it because it had 3 patches in the tire. They wouldn't put the tire back on and put the small donut spare on instead. They didn't put the wheel in the car. Wren she went to Bill Williams tire to get it fixed she had to go back and get the wheel from discount tire. They put her on the unsafe small donut and sent her away. Not good service and not good policy. They just were looking for an excuse to sell her a new tire. read more

Don't use Discount Tire on southwest drive. Both my husband and I have newer cars and on both our cars at different times they wanted to replace lugnuts claiming they couldn't put a tire back on bc they were swollen. Funny being that I went to the s1st location the week before to get my tires rotated and balanced and not an issue. I suspect that location is trying to upsale and take advantage of people. Came in after making an appointment online. Hondo, I believe was his name came across as rude. He was trying to check me in and so I let him know that I made an appointment. I had ask twice if he could just look at my appointment and that my info was there. He got short with me explaining that I had to be out in a que. After a few minutes he made the comment that "I had an 8:30 appointment and it's 8:08". Having a time on appointment has nothing to do with the check in process and explaining that. But the fact that he threw that at me let me know enough. I got to the tire store early because I just moved and had no idea how close the shop was. The gentleman that ended up checking me in explained to me the process on how online appointments work and that the check in process is different. Someone took the time to explain that to me and now I know better as opposed to Hondo who just seems like he's cranky at 8:08 in the am. It's too early in the morning to be like this. Not sure if I will come back to this location. I have been using Discount tire for well over 20 years and have been singing praises about their customer service and ease of speed Till today when I came in and came across Hondo. Maybe he's having a bad day. Idk, but take the time to explain to people things with some level of couth... and definitely don't throw in a customers face that it's 8:08 and your appointment is at 8:30. The the best of my knowledge the entire statement is true.   We purchased a protection plan on new tires that came with a vehicle that we purchased.  We got a flat and drove on that tire to get of the road so it had side wall damage.  I put on the spare and ordered tires from another company because I know even through I had the warranty.  And there was no alignment issues and it still had 4/32nds of tread left that discount tire would find a way not to service my tire guaranteed.  My wife did not want to ride on a spare so she went to discount tire on catclaw in Abilene 4-13-2021 with our 5 children.  I she went in and asked if the tire that was flat could be repaired and discount tire offers free flat repair. Phillip proceeds TO LIE TO to tell her it's non repairable but it is well over and inch from the side wall.   Then she tells him great this tire is under warranty I need a new one since it is not repairable. HE THE LIES TO HER AGAIN and says it has side wall damage and can't give her a new one.  (That is covered under road hazard) Then HE LIES TO HER AGAIN AND SAY IT HAS ALIGNMENT ISSUES and it's worn down on one side and it does not and it has been measured and it does not.  Philip LIES TO HER BECAUSE SHE IS  A WOMAN. So they will not help her she then call me and tells me.  I knew this would happen so I call Althea store and spoke to Martin and explained to me the warranty and said he it would have been coved but he had not seen the tire himself.  Understandable my wife still in the parking lot I tell her to go back and speak to Martin and I also found out that Phillip was one of the managers there because I asked my wife for a description as she told me he was bald.  Then JP comes out and measures the tire (which Phillip did not). And tells her after I speak with him on the Phone (while am at work) and explain to him the warranty and HE THEN LIES TO ME AND SAID HELL GET HER A NEW TIRE it will not match the other tires I said no problem the I hang up. (Remember she has 5 kids with her).  Then she waits for the new tire and they try to sell her a new tire plus the one that will be replaced and she said I jut want my damaged tire to be replaced that's all no additional tire.  Then when the bring her her suv after all this time and back and forth and phone call and all the mess I wanted to avoid.  They did not give her a new tire they just repaired the ONE THAT PHILIP SAID WAS NOT REPAIRABLE!!!!! My wife by the was tired and so were the kids then she just drove home.  I can not being to express how upset and distressed I am.  That some one would send a woman and 5 children on a tire that was deemed unrepairable.  Who gave the order to fix the tire and put it back on my wife's vehicle???Why would this company treat a woman like this??? Does discount look down on women or your representative Philip?  Is this how you train your managers?  Don't you know that is a liability lawsuit if the tire blows out and they were hurt?  Companies are sued all the time does anyone care?  That's my family!!!!  My wife sent an email and we very upset about how Philip and JP treated her.  Then I get call from the Gm Warren and I explain to him the situation.  It would had been better if he had not called me.   He did apologize for Philip and JP and he commended them and said they were great guys. Good and sure they are.  Insulted!!!  Then he offered me a tire wow.   The same I tire that was covered under warranty wow good job.  I don't want that tire I don't want 4 tires I don't want anything from discount tire.  I tried to just forget about it and how they treated my family but I could not and I just want someone to retrain those guys or something.  To make mistake is one thing to blatantly lie and deceive people woman is absolute unacceptable.  I just really hope there is someone who cares.   Miguel Duran Until the end of time. read more

So last night I got a flat from a screw and brought my car in today to get it patched. The guy that told me he'd take a look at it also tried to tell me I needed three new tires before I could even get a word out. After leaving it there for an hour, they called me to tell me my tire was "unrepairable" and I need a new tire. I usually would have taken their word for it hoping they were not just trying to get a sale from me.. but it's discount tire. Every time I've gone to a discount tire, they've done this to me. So I decided I'd get a second opinion at Tom's Tire Pros immediately after and told them what they said about the damage and he looked at the tire saying the damage was very mild and could most definitely get fixed. So 5 stars for Tom's. Go there for any of your tire needs. Long story short, shop local ALWAYS. Discount tire just wants a sale out of you. It's a waste of time. read more

Scheduled an appointment at 9am on Saturday. Showed up 10 min before my appointment and waited in line to check in. Lobby was pretty busy and the associates were helping customers relatively quick. It was my turn, the checked my tires and got my info, said it would be around 45 min. Sat on the lobby for 40 mon and my truck hadn't moved from where I parked it. When I asked they said they were working on it. It seems first come first serve regardless of appointment. That is why I give a one star. I called on Monday to make an appointment ahead of time and I still waiting just as long as if I didn't make an appointment. Might not be a big issue but I expected more, and the associate couldn't give me an accurate time. read more

My mother and I were traveling from CA to NC and blew a tire near Abilene. Her car had an unusual tire size that had to be ordered. Cruz was very helpful and called several tire shops to see if he could find something local with no luck. I had bought and repaired tires at Sam's Club for many years, but recently had a problem with a tire that still had most of its tread and would've normally been replaced since I had road hazard protection--yet their employee was telling me it was too worn. I stopped by Discount Tire just to ask if they would measure the tread for me since I suspected the Sam's employee wasn't being truthful. A very nice young man named Chase was happy to measure it for me and just as I thought--it had much more tread than I was told. I went back to Sam's to tell them but the employee still insisted I'd have to pay full price for a new tire--so I returned to Discount Tire and was helped by the most wonderful manager I've ever encountered in any business--Cruz Castillo! He went above and beyond for me that day and has done so two more times since. The service was incredible, I received great tires for unbeatable prices, and didn't have to wait long at all. On one occasion I dropped my tire & wheel off and Cruz texted me when he had the new tire on the wheel and then they popped it right on after I came back. I can't say enough nice things about these young men--Chase, Lance, and the manager, Cruz. I was so impressed by and grateful for the help I received and will never ever do business with anyone else but Discount Tires on Catclaw! Ask for Cruz--I guarantee you'll love him. I have bought 2 sets of tires from Discount Tire and the current ones on my car are the second set from them. I was in Abilene Tx for appointments (I live an hour away) when I experienced a flat tire and quickly drove to Discount Tire for help with air spewing from my tire. Upon arriving, I was told there were 15 cars ahead of me and it would be up to 2 hours before they would be able to fix a flat. Understanding this, I simply asked if they would please put some air in the tire as it was completely flat and I would not be able to travel somewhere else to get it fixed and I couldn't be stranded for 2 hours and miss my appointments. *This is where I have a serious problem with Discount Tire.* They told me no!!!!! They REFUSED to put air in my tire to allow me to leave their parking lot. I was told not to drive on it or it would damage it but they wouldn't put any air in it either...they simply REFUSED. I was stranded there. I had tried to find a place to put air in it as soon as I saw it going flat, but there were none to be found. I sat in my car, in Discount Tire's parking lot, with a completely flat tire, looking online for auto stores close enough to fix a flat tire, but there were none. The irony of it all. BUT, the Harley Davidson store was a stones throw away and I called them. I talked to Jason in the service department and he said "Yes, of course! Bring it over here and we will be happy to put air in your tire so you can go somewhere else to get it repaired." I very slowly drove on my flat tire with the rim running on the rubber to Harley Davidson parking lot. Jason, what a great guy, was standing outside the garage door with a long air hose waiting for me. He put 50 # of pressure in it to get me going! Great customer service and compassion, unlike Discount Tire! I was able to get to Sam's Club (yes, it was almost completely flat again) and they repaired my flat for $0.00. I also made it to my appointments on time. DO NOT GO TO DISCOUNT TIRE. DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM DISCOUNT TIRE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more

I took the rime to make an appointment and got there 15 minutes early. Thirty minutes after my scheduled appointment they still had not called my name. I told Phillip at the desk that I was still waiting and showed him my appointment slip that had been given to me the day before. He finally took my keys but it was another 45 minutes before they took my vehicle in for a rotation and sensor replacement. To be fair, no one was slacking. I've gotten my car's and my wife's SUV's tires all replaced here. There is almost always a wait expect at least 45 min to one hour, unless you get there when the open. It's not bad, they are just packed because they are good. I have had two flats so far (older tires, not on the new ones) and they always fix them for free and I can just drop them off and pick up later. Admittedly, the communication among the employees is not always perfect as I've experienced some undue waiting and calls when I've already been serviced, but other than that they are knowledgeable and do a great job. All the tires on my SUV came from Discount Tire. My Micheline tires were rated and guaranteed for 65,000 miles and I bought the road hazard warranty. At 33,000 miles on these 65,000 mile tires, I hit something in the road and tore a big hole in my tire. When I took my SUV in to replace my tire under the road hazard warranty, they told me that my tire was too worn down to warranty it under road hazard. They wanted me to pay $130 for a new tire with the amount of wear that was worn off my tire, even though the tire was worn down as a result of the tire's failure to live up to the 65,000 mile promise they assured me of when I bought them. This road hazard pitch is a scam!! Micheline tires are a scam. Danielle is an a$$ and has terrible customer service. We have multiple vehicles and trailers with tires.... big loss for Discount Tire!! First time there and I drove 55 miles from out of town. A lot of family and friends suggested Discount Tire. I had called to see what the waiting time would be. The guy I spoke with said it would be approx one hour. I had mentioned to him I had an appointment at 4 to get my oil changed somewhere else. He understood and said that would be no problem. Once I got there, at 2:15pm, we went outside to look at my tires and get information from my car. We looked at different types of tires and I decided on a set. I got accepted for a credit card. They guy that helped me with my order said I should be ready by 3:30. It got close to 4pm, I decided to call and have the place I was getting my oil changed move back my appointment to 4:45. Well, 4:30 came along, and my car was untouched. I decided to get in line to ask for my keys. I had already changed my appointment once. He apologized and said my car was next. I explained that I could not change my appointment again and needed my keys to my car to get my oil changed again. I also stated I would be back once they were done. He went to talk to someone and came back with my keys. He asked me to come back to get my tires. I reassured him I would be back since I had already paid for them. I got back at 5:40. It took them a while to get my car. I ended up leaving the store at 6:45. Yes, they were friendly but I also had planned to do other things while I was in town. I felt like my day was wasted. Had I known it was going to take half a day, I would have had someone follow me so I could have had a way to get my errands done. Next time, I will make an appointment first thing in the morning and hope it's a lot quicker. read more

Nothing but a friendly bunch! I noticed a hole in my tire because I kept losing pressure over the last week- being in Snyder did not help because everything is closed on the weekends! All other places I called closed early on Saturday but thankfully I found Discount Tire, which closes at 5! When I called to inquire about store hours just to make sure, the person who picked up was cheery and so nice, it made me want to go right away! As soon as I pulled up, I parked, went in and I was approached by a representative who I showed my car to. He took my info down and now I am currently waiting by the main area which is bright, air conditioned with magazine selections. PS....sit closer to the Wingate hotel and get access to their free lobby WiFi ;) read more
