Arrived late afternoon on Saturday 08/22/26. We were seated immediately and the booth was comfortable. Waitress took our order for a pupu platter and a scorpion bowl. She was very pleasant. It took a long time for our drinks and food to arrive, more then 15 minutes for the drink, at least 20 minutes for the food. When the food & drink arrived, the scorpion bowl was very good and the pupu plater was excellent. It had definitely been freshly prepared, honestly made the wait worth it. We loved everything in the pupu plater except for the shrimp. They were covered in really SWEET coconut, like sweetened coconut you'd expect in a desert pastry and then deep fried. WAY too sweet for a coating on a deep fried shrimp. If the shrimp had the same coating as the chicken fingers, they would have been delicious. We also ordered hunan pork & special lomein, both were good. With the exception of the too sweet coconut shrimp, we enjoyed everything served to us. I am very disappointed with my recent experience. I was a long-time fan of the original China Dynasty, which offered a classic, "old school" Chinese dining experience with excellent food. Unfortunately, this new establishment feels more like an Apple Store turned restaurant, and the service has suffered significantly. During my visit, my takeout order sat on the counter for 15 minutes while staff ignored it. When I finally had to step up and ask if the order was mine, I received no apology or even a response from the staff. The service is unacceptable, and the overall experience was poor. I've been here three times since it reopened as Imperial Dynasty and this was by far the worst visit. It was hot as hell inside, but I gave them a pass because idk maybe the AC broke. We ordered gyoza and they were fine. The sticky wings will never be as good as China Dynasty's were but these tasted different than the other two times we got them. Way too much soy sauce and way too much cornstarch. The beef teriyaki in the bento box needed to be seasoned, super bland. But the killer was the ikura salmon roe nigiri we got- it looked and felt like it had been frozen and thawed out instead of prepared fresh. Mushy consistency that didn't have the typical pop of caviar when you eat it. It was so gross we ended up making a complaint and getting it comped. Wanted to check out this newly renovated spot where China Dynasty used to reside. What a facelift - the space was gutted and redone with a modern and sleek aesthetic. Plenty of seating - tables, booths and bar seating. They do have a parking lot, spots in front of the building and on the side - we ended up parking on the side of the building and there is a ramp for handicap accessibility. We were greeted and seated very quickly - place was only 25% occupied on a Sunday night. Paco was our waiter and he was very personable and accommodating. We ordered wonton soup, boneless ribs, calamari, Takoyaki and I got the chicken with eggplant combo. Overall for Chinese American, they do a really good job. We really liked the boneless ribs and calamari, ribs had that nice grilled charred taste and not too overly sweet glaze. I prefer ribs with no glaze but if it has one - this wasn't a bad one to accompany it. The menu is VAST - serving Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese from what I remember. Sometimes you worry that when a restaurant tries to do too much, they might not excel at all of it. We didn't have any Japanese (sushi) or Vietnamese (pho) dishes so can't attest to those but for what we did have, we enjoyed. They have reasonably priced lunch combos for those wanting to save a buck! For what it is - Imperial is pretty solid and we are looking forward to our next visit. read more

I took the drive from mass after seeing this restaurant pop up on my IG feed. The restaurant is located in a residential area and has plenty of parking. The outside of the restaurant is very imperial looking if that makes sense. When we entered we were greeted by a very nice hostess who walked us to the table. I ordered the small pupu platter, thai wings, house rice and lobster sauce. The food was very good and flavorful. The ribs were so tender and sweet im still thinking of them. The wings were also very good and juicy. The only thing I didn't care for was the lobster sauce as it's different than the ones I'm used to in Mass. The owner came out to talk to us she was so nice. Haven't had Chinese food for many years and decided to enjoy it once again.The Imperial Dynasty is very clean and has a well-organized interior with good lighting and comfortable booths. Our server was attentive, and accurate. Hubby and I ordered two different dishes that we could share: General Tso's chicken served with an order of rice, and an entree of noodles with chicken. I actually liked the General Tso's chicken moreso due to its crispiness whereas the sliced chicken itself mixed in with the noodles was not that tasty, but the noodles were very good. The white rice that accompanied the General Tso's chicken was also great. It was overall a pleasant experience and we'll return once we have completed our tour of a group of Chinese restaurants recommended to us! read more

The menu is enormous, to the point that it's a bit overwhelming. But I've been here a few times no so I feel like I have a better idea of it all. The chicken lo mein is delicious. I prefer the non-as-authentic rice noddles and they use the round noodles, but the taste and content is delicious. The egg rolls are average, nothing really special. My kids love the sesame chicken (I agree it's delicious) and my husband has gotten the hibachi twice and said both times it was delicious. The service is very good, and I love the fact that it's so light and open inside. The old restaurant was so dark you could barely see your food in front of you so it's really nice that it's so bright and light inside. It just feels a million times cleaner. read more

Told us they didn't have the card, but we just sat at the bar and had food they said they didn't have the card then charge $10 to it Had to report it stolen reported card stolen, and told the police what they are doing. My wife and I have been there twice. Food is outstanding service is nonexistent. Debating whether to ever go back there again.

To start- the menu is huge. Chinese-Japanese fusion with Pho- so an Asian delicacy. The vibe - def new age feel. Bright - modern decor- American poppy music. The open cooking concept was cool - very engaging. The centered bar creates a cool lively feel. The restaurant is open which creates community. The food was good. The Nime Chow was ok but the peanut sauce was thick and added nice flavor. The hot and sour soup was ok. The egg roll was par. The chicken wings were just like the old place - if u know u know- good, sweet and sticky. The chicken lemongrass was ok could have used more sauce. And the rice was ok but full of veggies. The one thing is that the food was all like warm at best. However the sushi was great - the ocean roll was tasty and the eel was fresh. The best thing was the service. First time coming here and it was definitely a pretty nice experience. If I could give half a star in the review I'd ultimately give the place a 4.5/5 stars just due to the service & parking (which I hit on later in the review). The updated interior and overall ambiance is quite nice and there is ample space for plenty of guests. You have the choice of a high top table, bar seating, booths and shorter chairs with tables. Parking is a little tight, but manageable. The sign on the front door that says "HELP WANTED" says a lot about the service that you'll be receiving. They are clearly short staffed which means that the servers aren't able to constantly check up on their patrons (extremely reasonable) and it seems like some people leaving reviews complaining about the service would like the be babysat during their visit. These nice ladies are running around trying to provide the best service they can for a rather large section. As long as you're polite and patient, the waitresses will take care of you and you'll get what you need, just expect to wait for a little. Overall, once you request something, they're on it rather quickly. The menu is extremely extensive and is a tad overwhelming if you're looking for something new to try. Due to this, we stuck with our regular "Chinese takeout orders" to make judgement on how we thought other items would be and we were quite satisfied. It's nothing extraordinary but delivers what's expected and satisfies the common "Chinese food" desires our American palates crave from time to time. The prices aren't ridiculous like similar restaurants, the portions are great, and they even have deals for lunch. We didn't try any cocktails this time around, however, their list of alcoholic beverages offers a handful of options. They even have a few Asian imported beers and spirits which is always nice when you're visiting a place with cuisine that mimics a specific region. (They even gave us a charming glass for the Shirley temple which is always rather thoughtful) We look forward to coming here again and trying something different or new! This is my new favorite place! Just like a lot of people that are local, we didn't know what to expect when the original restaurant closed down, it was going to be big shoes to fill. Well let me say they have been filled and then some!. It's beautiful inside gorgeous bar gorgeous cocktails Sophie makes the best espresso Martini I ever had. The menu is phenomenal and between me and all my friends every single thing we've had we loved. I live in LA and had sushi at some of the fanciest places and the sushi at this place was the most gorgeous best tasting sushi I've ever had. went to this place to try it out for the first time after hearing good reviews online. we ordered all our drinks and food at once-- my sister got a scorpion bowl and all of us ordered all our food for dinner (appetizers and entrees at the same time, since some of us were eating apps for dinner). soft drinks came out and a water for my sister, no scorpion bowl. probably 30 min later my parents food comes out, plus our appetizers. my sister and i wait ten minutes for our own food with no scorpion bowl. when it comes to the food, we personally didn't think anything was notable except for maybe the sticky wings. this whole time, we are watching the poor hostess and waiter run around the entire restaurant trying to serve everyone at once-- not trying to place all the blame on them, because they were just trying to do their job and were completely overwhelmed!! once my sister was halfway done eating, her large scorpion bowl comes out. she maybe finishes a quarter of it before we're set to leave. thankfully our waiter removed it from the bill at our request seeing it took so long to make. i feel bad for the staff as it seems like they do not have enough people for the amount the restaurant is choosing to seat-- i absolutely would've preferred a bit of a wait if it meant everyone in the restaurant got better, more attentive service. these people (minus the sushi bar chef who stood behind the bar with his earbuds in chilling lol) looked like they were being spread a bit too thin and i really hope the restaurant isn't like that every single night. they said they were busy but the amount of staff to tables that i was seeing just didn't make sense. needless to say, i think my family will be sticking with out other favorite chinese places for now. read more

First off, menu was huge. Food was excellent. But, sitting at the bar, the service was slow slow slow. Sammy works her butt off, the guy moves like he took a dozen Valium before his shift. Kitchen is slow. We saw 2 couple at the bar. Only one meal came for each couple. The other got their food 10 minutes after. That's a big no no for me. When we left the bar was a mess with dishes and drink glasses from at least 9 patrons who already left. Clean up when people leave already. Will ya. Looks dirty. I hope they make it, but if the service continues like that. They better hope to make it on take out. Oh, and one more thing. It's too bright in there. read more

Four of us tried this restaurant recently, since its new opening. What a Great experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile and walked to our table. The restaurant is completely remodeled, beautifully decorated, much bigger than previous restaurant and bright and clean! Our food, chicken lo main, nime chow, Spare ribs, chicken wings, egg foo young, pad Thai, egg rolls,and the most tender, delicious steak teriyaki I have ever eaten, was amazing. The menu is huge with so many options. Our server was so accommodating when the fried ice cream was not available. He offered us two free desserts instead. We went back for our second visit! Food was still great, consistent with what we had the first time. We ordered 2 new items we didn't try last time, both great. Service was a bit lacking this time. To be fair they were noticeably busy, but we waited a solid 5+ minutes to even be greeted once seated at our table. Once we were greeted at our table, we had probably 2-3 employees approach us at different times for our drink order--we literally wanted just water....and even that took a while to get on the table. Our actual server finally arrived, we placed our entire order when she first came over, app and entrees. App came out timely, then when entrees came mine came out first and 3-4 minutes later my boyfriend's came. Weird they didn't bring them over at the same time.
