Sleek and modern interior - booths and tables
    Mary K.

Wanted to check out this newly renovated spot where China Dynasty used to reside. What a facelift - the space was gutted and redone with a modern and sleek aesthetic. Plenty of seating - tables, booths and bar seating. They do have a parking lot, spots in front of the building and on the side - we ended up parking on the side of the building and there is a ramp for handicap accessibility. We were greeted and seated very quickly - place was only 25% occupied on a Sunday night. Paco was our waiter and he was very personable and accommodating. We ordered wonton soup, boneless ribs, calamari, Takoyaki and I got the chicken with eggplant combo. Overall for Chinese American, they do a really good job. We really liked the boneless ribs and calamari, ribs had that nice grilled charred taste and not too overly sweet glaze. I prefer ribs with no glaze but if it has one - this wasn't a bad one to accompany it. The menu is VAST - serving Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese from what I remember. Sometimes you worry that when a restaurant tries to do too much, they might not excel at all of it. We didn't have any Japanese (sushi) or Vietnamese (pho) dishes so can't attest to those but for what we did have, we enjoyed. They have reasonably priced lunch combos for those wanting to save a buck! For what it is - Imperial is pretty solid and we are looking forward to our next visit.

DELICIOUS. Amazing food across the board. The wings were probably my favorite. The sticky sauce is some of the best I've had, wings super crispy. Everything on the pupu platter was so so good. Sushi was gorgeous and delicious! Drinks were so yummy. Dining room looks newly renovated and so pretty. Clean. Service was so nice and quick. One of the best Chinese places I've been to in a long time.

The decor is so much better than previous owner (china dynasty). Menu is huge ! So many things to do choose from. I ordered hibachi chicken and steak with noodles. I was expecting low mein noodles but got something different. My family got sushi and loved it.

Haven't had Chinese food for many years and decided to enjoy it once again. The Imperial Dynasty is very clean and has a well-organized interior with good lighting and comfortable booths. Our server was attentive, and accurate. Hubby and I ordered two different dishes that we could share: General Tso's chicken served with an order of rice, and an entree of noodles with chicken. I actually liked the General Tso's chicken moreso due to its crispiness whereas the sliced chicken itself mixed in with the noodles was not that tasty, but the noodles were very good. The white rice that accompanied the General Tso's chicken was also great. It was overall a pleasant experience and we'll return once we have completed our tour of a group of Chinese restaurants recommended to us!

The menu is enormous, to the point that it's a bit overwhelming. But I've been here a few times no so I feel like I have a better idea of it all. The chicken lo mein is delicious. I prefer the non-as-authentic rice noddles and they use the round noodles, but the taste and content is delicious. The egg rolls are average, nothing really special. My kids love the sesame chicken (I agree it's delicious) and my husband has gotten the hibachi twice and said both times it was delicious. The service is very good, and I love the fact that it's so light and open inside. The old restaurant was so dark you could barely see your food in front of you so it's really nice that it's so bright and light inside. It just feels a million times cleaner.

Whoa, the menu is ginormous! Not gonna lie I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was made well and had great flavor. No complaints really besides my miso soup coming out lukewarm and the chasu pork was not tender. There's only one waiter for the whole restaurant probably cause they're still new. It's a strange retro style lol idk if I like it or not. But it's whatever ‍

To start- the menu is huge. Chinese-Japanese fusion with Pho- so an Asian delicacy. The vibe - def new age feel. Bright - modern decor- American poppy music. The open cooking concept was cool - very engaging. The centered bar creates a cool lively feel. The restaurant is open which creates community. The food was good. The Nime Chow was ok but the peanut sauce was thick and added nice flavor. The hot and sour soup was ok. The egg roll was par. The chicken wings were just like the old place - if u know u know- good, sweet and sticky. The chicken lemongrass was ok could have used more sauce. And the rice was ok but full of veggies. The one thing is that the food was all like warm at best. However the sushi was great - the ocean roll was tasty and the eel was fresh. The best thing was the service. The young man was full of suggestions and great conversation. I will come back to sit with him and enjoy good conversations.

Downtown joint dabbling in both old school Chinese American classics and authentic dim sum. Most of…read morethe Yelp photos hit the dim sum, but most of the customers in the large room stick to memory lane. The place is divided into two halves: tiny bar and three rows of booths on one side; large tables with chairs on the other side. Combo plates available both at lunch (M-F) and dinner (any time). -- Sticky Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce Wings: Wow-worthy, with the darkest sauce I've ever seen, looking like someone poured Hershey's syrup on them. Characteristics of teriyaki, soy, and garlic, and intense sweetness, but all balanced and very different, and there may even be Hershey's in there afterall. More importantly, quite delicious. The wings themselves were really good too, bringing firm to crispy skins and tender, juicy interiors. The sauce hardens over time, so eat these fast. But you'll want to anyway. Near-elite to elite. -- Rice Noodle with Shrimp: Lackluster compared to other versions I've tried. Noodle not as fresh and slippery. Sauce not as flavorful. Shrimp were good but spaced out. Below average. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ping pong sized/shaped balls of chicken instead of the usual fingers, but these were excellent. Very high meat to batter ratio, good crispness to the exterior, and decent tenderness inside. Sauce served in the side. No pineapples or cherries, but good contrasting flavors to the sauce and no glop. Well above average, even without the fruit. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): A mixed bag, this had light grains with pleasant but subtle flavor, long-in-the-tooth dry pork nuggetry, and some onions. Flavorful or not, that rice had freshness, moistness, and bounce. All things considered, a little above average, but with potential for higher. -- Egg Roll (on the combo): Felt limp to the touch but had a delicate crispness to it. Inside, a mix of celery, cabbage, and pork, with decent flavor and a moo shi feel. Not bad. A little above average. Lots of ups and downs here, but a reluctant 4 stars thanks to the brilliance of those wings. I scouted plates on other tables on my way to the restroom and saw similar highs and lows, but more highs. Even if the potential goes unfulfilled (and I have higher hopes for the old school than the dim sim), the wings alone would bring me back.

They need to replace the old worn out carpet they have...it's stinky and it's dirty. When it rains, the smell is even more pronounced. We got a scallion pancake app and the dish was tiny and the pieces were smaller than other times. Same with the steak with black pepper, it was a smaller portion than other times. But some dishes like the Kung pao chicken and the Moo Shu pork were regular size. Several areas for improvement. Hope they get to read this and provide clients a much better dining environment.

So tonight, we ordered $125 of takeout and one of the rolls should have been GLUTEN FREE & it was NOT. I called for a CREDIT and they said they can't credit my card. I asked for a Manager and the woman I was speaking with said, "I am the Assistant Manager". I then asked to speak to the General Manager but she told me, "He is BUSY in the kitchen". I said, "I drove 15 mins up and 15 back, but he was too busy for me"? Then she said, "Oh, he just left the building". At 7:55 pm, I am expected to believe the Manager left a busy restaurant - I don't believe that!! At this point, I didn't want the CREDIT, I just won't return.
