Rating based on security confiscating an item at the door, being told the item ended up somewhere other than in an office or the lost and found and being told the item later on was "lost". My husband and I came here after a Halloween party on 10/16/25 and were in costume. My husband spent time assembling, painting and gluing a prop gun together for his Corben Dallas costume. We attended a Halloween party at District where his prop gun was not confiscated by security and you could obviously tell the gun was a toy/prop gun. We then went with a friend who wanted to check out T&G and security told the prop gun at the door. On our way out, my husband was frustrated we even went and he left the gun. The next day I called early afternoon and a female told me to call around 9:30pm. I called that evening at 9:30pm to ensure they could find it before making the 25 min drive to T&G. The same girl answered the phone and said she spoke to some people and it was seen in the KITCHEN and would call me back in an hour so that they had time to locate it that it "could be on a shelf or something". I said, "well they were obviously playing with it- please help us locate it, my husband spent some time on this $60 prop and we'd like to wear our costumes again later in the month." I didn't receive a call back. The next evening my husband called and the girl that answered said she didn't know what we were taking about and we asked them to check the cameras to see WHO ON THEIR STAFF took our property. They declined and said it hadn't been located. I'd like to be contacted by someone who has checked the cameras and identified who is stealing patron's property. If it's our toy gun, what else must they be taking home with them that people may forget? read more

A man was getting verbally violent with my boyfriend on Friday night and beginning to get in his space. I alerted a Hispanic male bartender upstairs and he asked me condescendingly if I was sure I was okay. I think he was insinuating that I was too inebriated to understand the situation. This man scared me and I believed he would attempt to hit my boyfriend. The bartender's reaction left me confused and shocked. He had a collared pattern button down shirt on. I've been here a few times but I wouldn't say it's my favorite spot in Atlanta. Like some other reviewers mentioned, the cover can add up after a few times, and the drinks are expensive. I once had a gin & tonic here that was very strong. Some people like the two story layout, and I can agree that it's great to move between upstairs and downstairs in the main room. If I go up I can people watch. However, I really dislike how big their bar is in the center. Once the bar gets packed on Fridays, it becomes uncomfortable to walk around the space. I've had the bottle service before too and they were super attentive. I don't really do bottle service and was invited by someone. The music in the Hispanic room can be hit or miss, and I'm not the biggest fan of house music in the main room but there are songs I can dance to. This place is a the cutest bar ever it's more for mature crowd was around 25+ but the vibes were definitely good. The bar gets busy around 12 I arrived at 10 with no line and barely anybody. I came here on a Saturday around 12:30 am to find the line about 20 people long. It took about 10-15 minutes to get to the door so it wasn't too bad of a wait. Dress code is pretty strict as one of the bouncers rejected a guy for wearing jean shorts. Tip: make sure you're dressed to impress. Security is also thorough as they are entitled to flash a light into your bag and do a brief body pat. There a large circular bar with a second balcony surrounding the bar with decent music. However, I found myself on the smaller designated dance floor on the left side because the music had more variety to it. Overall, I had a good time and would come again! read more

This man didn't let me in because I was wearing a sports outfit, which in fact I have had in the past with a similar one, but of course it was a different color. This man wasn't at the door. I asked him what the problem was and he told him that I had entered like that and he treated me very badly. Then I said to him can you call the DJ to say hello and he says to me if the DJ is here I don't have to call him and if you call him you're not going to get in anyway. I told you well I speak English on the radio and he told the other security that I was calling the DJ but that he didn't want me to enter like that, it's as simple as that, the truth is an attitude that was kind of racist or more discriminatory because other people dressed very similar walked past us and even so I asked him why they let them in and not me and he told me that he had nothing to talk to me about, I know that they have to respect the rules, that of course is worse. Forgive how this man leaves a bad image for a place preferred by all of us, I'm not one to complain, gold this time I thought about it and thought about it and Well, I decided to express my indignation to them. I think I may have outgrown this scene. It is definitely a club and not a lounge. I went on Saturday night and the cover was $20. Parking is available in the surrounding decks along with valet. Came to this place for a special friend's 21st birthday. We got a VIP table that includes excellent table service and a private spot. Great place for photos and the interior if this place is beautiful. The staff were always checking up on us. Personal I love this place and I can see it becoming my to-go club. My friend had an amazing 21st birthday so good job T&G for giving him a good end to his birthday night. Good selection of alcohol and definitely contains high end drinks too. Be sure to come here dressed to impress. Although this place opens at 9pm, it doesn't really get packed and full until around 11:30pm. If you like a club that plays rap, trap, and electronic music, then this is the place for you. The staff here is amazing and very professional. They WILL kick anyone out who is falling asleep/looking like their night is over. They have people maintaining bathroom lines. Superb and friendly customer service. Both have large dance floors and seated sections. Bars on both sides as well, one in the middle of the dance floor, the other on the perimeter of the floor. Drinks are a little expensive, but definitely match the rest of the establishments in the area. Music is always great. Starts off slow earlier in the night, but always gets going. Wide variety of music. 80s/90s/now/pop/hip-hop/r&b/Latin/Caribbean/AfroBeats.... you get it. It's lit. Something there for everyone, and if you don't know the words, the beat is usually something you can easily pick up. Come dressed to impress. I never visited before the renovations but I attended the opening night party and it was something beautiful inside! There's a huge bar directly in the middle so you'll never be without a drink. Plus, if you're lucky enough to be there on a party night, you might find a gymnast dancing around on top of it. And there's tons of photo-worthy moments. I was able to try some appetizers: cheese board, desserts, and veggie platter. All were delicious so I can assume ordering from the kitchen while sitting at one of the booths or at the bar will do you justice. The DJ is booth is elevated but a little below the second floor so you can see the DJ and guest from almost anywhere inside. I didn't have the pleasure of viewing from the second floor but on my next visit I plan to go up there! read more

This wack bartender on 4/6 gave me and my friends drinks that were 90% salt and 2% margarita, the rest was water. Her mule was even worse. I tried to have fun with the slow music and get over it. When i got home, I checked my bank account and they charged me $60 for those 2 drinks. She didn't even give me a receipt for that one but she gave me the receipts for first order. Huge circular bar is the centerpoint of the club - dance floor is hardly that, just a small area below the DJ. But I guess everyone is free to dance wherever they want. I was there for a fundraiser event so i can't speak to what kind of crowd they usu. have. Music was a mix of current and past hits. Bartenders were nice. Parking is free to up 3 hours with validation. However Tongue & Groove doesn't validate parking, and parking is $1 every 20 minutes. After paying $7 for parking, I actually regretted not getting some Five Guys just to get free parking, haha. After 11pm, parking is a $6 flat fee. read more

Too add a huge mention which Night life venturing T&G is great because staff communication and hospitality are took in high value!
