I recently had a full hollywood wax done here with Tonie! This is only my third time getting it done but so far hands down, Tonie has been the best! He was patient the entire time as this $hit hurts real bad usually. He helped with a few breathing techniques and was keeping me informed throughout the process. First of all, Tonie is amazing. I came in really nervous since I've never gotten waxed down there before! But the experience was amazing! Tonie made the experience so relaxing and really educated me on what he was doing and why, i.e. soft wax versus hard wax. He also was real with me letting me know he doesn't believe in sugar coating whether or not it hurts. For me, the pain was less painful than I expected. I think what really helped me out was the fact that he really walked me through the process, making sure I was breathing and relaxing before each pull. He even made sure I was breathing right before he would pull (making sure I exhaled slowly versus blowing out all the air from my lungs. First we started with the Hollywood Hairy. I wasn't sure if I wanted all the hair gone but I'm glad I did. Feeling super clean :)! We started with the back which was the warm up! Not painful at all! Plus, it made it less awkward once we turned over to start on the front! He also made sure to help trim down the front before using the hard wax. He also made sure that everything was clear before moving onto the next part of the body! The base of your junk does hurt somewhat but only for a sec! The sac wasn't bad at all! And to be honest, the pain was less painful than I expected! From the Hollywood Hairy, we moved to the abdominal area! Very minimal pain - not bad at all by then again, I don't have too much hair there to begin with. We also did my brows which I've done before! Super easy! Finally, we did the underarms! This was actually more painful than I thought but definitely a bearable pain. He gave me tips for after care including making my own coconut oil/sugar scrub to exfoliate! All in all, I felt super relaxed and really enjoyed the ambiance that Tonie created. I will definitely be coming back! If you're even thinking about trying it out, definitely recommend doing it and recommend coming to Tonie! read more

I've been going to Tonie for the past two years now, and this review is actually overdue. Tonie is a hair god - he can bring your dead, lifeless hair back to life! He doesn't simply cut hair - he really tailors the style to best suit the shape of your head and face, your hair texture, and your lifestyle. His rates are comparable to well-established salons in the area, but you get a more personable experience. His salon is inside Sola. It's very clean and has ample parking adjacent to the building. He only takes in one client at a time with spaced appointments. You are not thrown into a mix of several other people, unlike in most other salons. This makes me feel safer during the pandemic. The building is also locked and only clients with appointments can enter, so you're sure that no random people are walking in and out. Finally! It took a fair amount of tries, but I have finally found a hair stylist that actually cares about how you look. This was the best Brazilian I've had by far, and I've had quite a few! I got the Hollywood, and he met all my base requirements for just a "good" wax -Clean studio -No double dipping -Only used hard wax Tonie really goes above and beyond! He tested the wax temperature on himself before beginning, readjusted the heat for my comfort as necessary, and applied pressure after ripping off the wax strips to alleviate the pain! I'm used to relatively quick waxes, but Tonie took his time and it was WAY more comfortable than what I'm used to! The wax itself was already worth five stars, but Tonie was kind enough to provide me with two samples of scrubs-including one he made himself-some delicious fizzy water, and a loyalty card at the end!
