Came here during their $3 matcha promo this past weekend. Thankfully this place is really close to my house so it's super convenient. Unfortunately, the parking lot is really small and can be difficult to find parking when it's busy. The first time I came, I had to park down the street and walk over, which is not fun in this scorching heat recently. First time I came and tried the mango matcha and also bought the biscoff cookie/cookie butter? Both were pretty amazing, and the cookie was super thick and gooey on the insight. A bit messy with the cookie butter drizzle on top, but we made due. The next day I tried the strawberry matcha which was my favorite of the two flavors, but both still good. I also paired it this time with a spam musubi, which was solid tasting, but not sure if it the pricing was worth it ($4)? Not sure how much their regular drink prices or menu items are, but I'd definitely come back for another $3 matcha promo, and to try more of their bakery or food items. read more

I ordered the mango matcha latte. I replaced the whole milk with coconut milk because sadly they don't have soy milk as an option. It was prepared fast and with lots of ice. They have lots of seating inside and outside the place. I would've sat longer inside if I didn't smell a weird stench in the corner table inside. Also, this area does not have good internet reception for my cell phone. There's lots of board games on the shelves inside. Came to try this place for their $3 matcha special. I got the strawberry matcha. Everything tasted fine, but I thought they were a little heavy on the ice. The inside is pretty big with lots of seating and there's a shelf with board games. I have Verizon and had almost no signal inside. read more

Great coffee and they have pastries that wasn't just muffins and croissants. The staff working the day I went was so friendly and said to let her know if my drink needs any adjustments. I appreciate it that because sometimes it's hard to approach the barista to make any changes to a drink. It's well lit inside and is a great study/hang out spot. Ordered a latte einspanner and a biscoff croffin and honestly was a little disappointed. The latte tasted more of just milk and with a splash of coffee. The pastry looked nothing like the example in the window. My friend joined me and actually asked me where I got my katsu from and I said it was a pastry from this location and she was thrown off... because it does look like katsu lol. I did walk in and no one was out front or greeted me but there was a sign if no one was there to ring the bell. I did go mid morning so I was there alone and there was available parking but there's a lot of parking that says it belongs to other businesses in the small complex. read more

Coffee review #6153721 is what this feels like & todays spotlight is in TONLE! After trying to find a coffee shop that is open after 6pm tonle popped up, and with picture showing the seating inside I was happy to visit. I ended up ordering an iced Spanish latte and a Nutella croffle. The Spanish latte was a very light color I was surprised-- but it was good. It was on the lighter sweeter side than what I am used to for a Spanish latte. I would ask for a lighter sweetness for next time. The Nutella croffle was good as well, incredibly difficult to cut through with the plastic knives. It was pretty annoying honestly cause I just wanted to get my Nutella in my mouth already. It's like withholding candy from a baby... just give me my Nutella. Maybe real silverware can do them justice. Their cookies look delish I hope to try them when I come back. They have wifi and outlets around, and plenty of seating. Some of the white chairs were on the not clean looking side, kinda giving white dog that doesn't get a bath look. Tables were big enough for two people to have their laptops and coffee but that's about it. Their song playlist had all the hits!! I was trying to not do karaoke while I was studying. The music was great. Their parking lot is absolutely atrocious. The smallest skinniest parking space, you're going to get door dinged. Perfect cafe for studying. It's still new so only a couple tables were occupied on a Tuesday afternoon. Nice and quiet to get some work done. My bf and I ordered the Matcha Einspanner (4/5) and the star of the show, the Tonle Iced Coffee (5/5). I've had a couple of slightly better Matcha Einspanners, but still really great! However this was iced coffee was the best in town. Super balanced with delicious complex floral flavors. Definitely coming back! read more

It's been a hot minute since I've been back here, formerly Chai Masters, and I'm happy to say the drinks are still just as great! Everything still looks exactly the same. I haven't tried any of the pastries or food items yet, but they always look so delicious. I'll definitely have to come back and give those a try one day. This time, I ordered the tiramisu latte, and it was amazing! I didn't realize it came with a ladyfinger, which was such a nice surprise. I really appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, and the coffee flavor came through nicely and was well-balanced. I was a little worried it might be too sugary, but it turned out just right. It didn't taste exactly like tiramisu, but it had just enough of a hint to satisfy the craving. It felt more like a cousin to tiramisu, which honestly worked for me. The overall experience of the drink was fantastic, especially with the addition of the ladyfinger, as it really tied everything together. This was formerly Chai Master - now new ownership and a new name. But the interior looks the same and both the coffees and pastries are the same. And still the same tiny parking lot that is too small for the number of businesses in this little plaza. I came on a Monday afternoon and was warmly greeted by a woman with a sparkling personality and superb work ethic. I ordered an iced Biscoff latte and, after looking over the cookie offerings, chose a chocolate chip. I took a seat at one of the many comfy tables until my name was called. The warm cookie was soft and delicious. The exterior looked like it had few chocolate chips but there were plenty hidden within the cookie. This was an excellent cookie. I really liked the Biscoff latte as both the flavor of Biscoff and a quality coffee were both prevalent. It was refreshing on this hot day. My only qualm is the amount of ice; is it really necessary to completely stuff the cup with ice for an iced latte? I feel like I'm getting 1/4 of a latte and 3/4 ice. read more

Was browsing on yelp for a new spot and was already in the area so I tried an Oreo cookie, pistachio matcha, and caramel latte. The cookie was delicious, the caramel latte was perfectly sweet, but the matcha threw me off. I couldn't tell if it was the pistachio or the matcha. But there was a weird after taste. As for the store itself, it's so big! I played some games and i was too deep in the game that i didn't realize it got filled up until I couldn't hear myself talk. I've been here about 3 or 4 times in the past several months. It's a cute little place hidden in a tiny little plaza in Los Al. Very aesthetic and clean. I've had almond milk lattes and an iced matcha latte and they are both pretty yum. I've never had the food but they have sweet pastries and a few basic breakfast sammies. The staff has been great for the most part... I've been greeted well except for the second time I was there. Luckily I never saw that staff member again. All in all, I enjoy coming here anytime I'm in the area and need caffeine :) read more

Had this coffee shop on my list to try and was in the area so I stopped by on a Friday afternoon. The location is off a fairly busy street with a small parking lot so parking can be difficult at times. I ordered the Biscoff Iced Latte and the Dubai Cookie. Both were good. The inside was clean and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Could be a great spot to work or do schoolwork. Unfortunately, the person working didn't seem super thrilled to be there which changed my impression of an otherwise good place. I was having brunch down the street and I was craving some vietnamese coffee, so I decided to give TONLE a try. Im very happy that I did. The girl who took my order was super nice. I ordered the Iced coffee, which is reminisce to my dad's dripped coffee. It was a little too sweet for my taste but a good vietnamese coffee. it was really good the next day once the ice melted. The cookies were nice and airly and not overly sweet.
