This is a cute mom and pop spot with friendly staff. My daughter got the iced strawberry and said it tasted like strawberry milk. My son had the banana milk matcha latte and loved it. Another incredible day at Mono coffee. I wasn't planning on stopping this morning but after my long commute I needed to make a stop for some caffeine. The mango creamsicle special for the summer is SO GOOD. Refreshing, creamy, not too sweet. It has the flavor of mango lassi, not the fake perfume tasting, mango most places have. The cream has real vanilla bean in it. I needed to powder my nose so to speak and received the code to the ultra clean restroom. By the time I was finished my drink was ready super fast! I always pass by this place since I basically live next door and I'm glad I finally stopped by! Came here around 11 AM on a Friday morning and it wasn't too empty nor busy as people continued to come in. I got the Matcha Latte w/ whole milk and my cousin got the Biscoff Latte w/ oat milk. The matcha latte was good, but I've had better (perhaps my standards are higher because of all the Ktown cafes). Regardless, I enjoyed the matcha latte... I just wish the matcha was stronger, but I could tell it was good quality ceremonial grade. Maybe I'll try their strawberry latte or add a cream top in the future for a sweeter taste. As for the Biscoff Latte, my cousin thought it was a good amount of sweetness and the cream top was delicious to balance out the latte. She wishes that the latte tasted more like cookie butter/Biscoff, but it did come with not only one, but two biscoff cookies! From what I saw, there were plenty of parking spots available and tables for studying! Only downside is I didn't see any outlets, but there is a restroom inside and they were playing nice cafe-esque music. I love how the interior looks--very cute, clean, calming, and minimalistic! It's located in front of a busy intersection in a small plaza with free parking so it can be easy to miss if you're not actively searching for it. The London Matcha Cloud sounded interesting and since this is a coffee shop, I ordered the Biscoff Latte to-go. Who knew that London Fog and Matcha would harmonize so well together? The earl grey based tea stood out and so did the Matcha! The drink was silky, refreshing, and sweet. I should have ordered a second one to-go. This is a 5/5 for me. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the greatest. There are some other stronger banana matcha latte contenders in Orange County Mango Matcha Latte (with oat milk) 6.5/10: it was a unique and creative drink, but it personally wasn't my cup of tea. The mango flavor tasted fresh and not artificial, but the matcha was on the grassier side so it wasn't what I was looking for Together, the drinks costed $14.45. I was expecting a bit more from this coffee shop given the past glowing reviews, but drinks wise, it was a miss for me. Perhaps I just didn't select the right beverages for my own taste! My boyfriend usually swings by this place on his way home from work. I finally decided to come check it out in person. I got the London matcha cloud and two of their newer fall item, banana milk mocha latte with mocha cream top and hojicha latte with mocha cream top. All the drinks were very tasty. If you never had banana milk, you should probably try it before ordering it. You can definitely taste both the banana milk and the mocha and it's balanced out. Went here on Christmas day since it was open. It was quite busy and I looked it up on Yelp. I looked at the menu and decided to get a matcha drink that I haven't tried around the area since they have regular matcha lattes and the regular mango strawberry or ceremonial. After I ordered, I was excited to try the drinks, but I was a little bit disappointed because the earl gray matcha cloud was a little bit sour and the cream top did not taste as good has other places I've had. I think it's probably because the cloud is milk-based and the milk they used in The Latte was oat milk. Both drinks weren't sweet and I'm the type of person that usually like sweet drinks. What was weird is that I noticed the matcha getting extremely oxidized even after maybe an hour of ordering the items. Not sure if that's normal, but I've had other places and it does it change color that quickly. I probably won't get that drink at this place again and I will likely try to get one of their coffees too make a more thorough review of the cafe. I'm sure it is a good place to study with your friends and it seems like they put an effort into the atmosphere which is pretty chill and contemporary ambiance. Yesterday (Sunday) my husband and I came to Mono Coffee for the first time. We arrived around 9:30 AM to a quiet cafe. They had a fully stocked pastry cabinet with lots to choose from. It took a while to decide on what I wanted to drink but we ended up with an Iced Strawberry Latte, an Iced Banana Latte, Ham & Cheese Croissant and Butter Cake Pastry. Our pastries came out warm with our drinks which I appreciated since I like to enjoy my drink + food item together. Both of our flavored lattes had a subtle fruit flavor to it; you can taste more of the strawberry/banana flavor at the end of each sip. Drinks weren't overly sweet and more on the mild side. Pastries were delicious! The coffee shop is located in a small business strip with some parking; and across the street from the Target which makes it very easy to find and access off the main street. Employees are quiet but friendly. The tables could use more attention. The one that we sat at had crumbs all over the table and seating.
