Went in yesterday around 1pm with an issue with my door not staying closed. They looked at and took apart the door within 10 minutes of me being there to see what the issue was. I left my car there overnight (i missed the time frame for parts to be delivered that day). I came back today when they estimated it would be ready and it was all ready waiting for me. The team there was SO helpful, kind, and worked hard to make sure my car was in good shape in a timely manner. I will ALWAYS go there if I have any more issues. Such a great experience read more

Amazing experience!! I had no idea what was wrong with my car, a lot of noises and a burning smell. This shop was close and with 5 stars so I took it here. Turns out it was a tire issue, and they don't sell tires. Regardless, they put my spare on for me and gave me a hot chocolate before sending me on my way. They wouldn't accept any payment. They really helped turn my day around and were the sweetest, most caring people. I highly recommend and will be coming back here with any future problems. Thank you, Tony Kinser!!! read more

We rolled into town from California, with two damaged cars, (my daughter, who is going to be attending classed here, had rear ended my van during the trip). Being a not so hot driver, she has insurance issues, and I was concerned that her she might be here on her own, and find herself cancelled by her insurance if we reported the accident. So I decided I was going to pay for the repairs out of pocket. All I can say is that Jeff and Tony and all of their crew (although I only met Jeff and Tony) are the absolute best. They totally took care of us and I could not be more pleased with their service, personal touch and concern, and professionalism. They cut some corners, which they probably would not have done if we had been using our insurance, but which really aren't significant and didn't effect the appearance, but cut the bill to what I thought was very reasonable. They also knew I was somewhat anxious to get back home, and really did all the work in a very expedient manner. Having had actually two daughters who are 'not so hot' drivers, I have had interactions and done business with more than a few body shops. These guys are heads and shoulders above everyone else I have dealt with. I wish they were in my home area, as I would always come back to them. read more

I took my car in after getting a huge estimate from another shop, and got to meet tony. Tony listened to my story of how I ended up in the position I was in and he understood everything about what needed to be done very well. He gave me multiple options on what I could do and also gave me an estimate that was a third of the cost of the other places! He was honest with me on pricing and even letting me know that it was possible for me to do what needed to be done myself or with my dad. To top it all off, Tony even offered to order the part for me and come out to my dads house to help us if we had any problems doing it ourselves! Very nice manager who always answered the phone. They worked well with my insurance company and provided a very detailed estimate. The manager explained everything to me thoroughly on the phone. Took 2 1/2 weeks to get my car back, but that may have been standard for the amount of work needed. Then I had an issue, but they were quick to resolve it at no additional charge. My business van door started to sag. Took the van to two body shops to see about a fix. One said I needed a whole new door and the dealer body shop said the only fix was to buy a new vehicle. Took my van to Tony Kinser Body Shop and they immediately described the fix for sagging door hinges. Had them do the work and the door swings like new. Tony & Jeff are the BEST!!! I have a 2011 Land Rover and the back seat got stuck! I called around Bloomington and no one would even look at it, and I definitely didn't want to drive to Indianapolis to the Land Rover dealership knowing they'd over charge me! This is a great, local body shop! We had our car in for repairs after an accident and now our car is like new. The repair took longer than expected through no fault of their own, and they made sure to call us and give us ample updates. They were totally transparent throughout the whole process. Our car also came back clean as a whistle and it didn't smell weird (which is a problem at some other shops). It's a crowded little shop, and I believe they have another garage off site that they use for repairs too. They also have a lifetime warranty for all their repairs, which is a HUGE plus. They do a great job, and they stand by their work. When we were picking up our car, another couple was also there and they told us that they have been to this shop many times and they have always had great experiences. read more

I went to Tony Kinsers about 2 years ago after an accident and they did great work! They messed with all the insurance stuff and made it as easy for me as they could. So when I had some bad scratches on my new car I went to Kinsers first. They made the car look new and I am very satisfied with the work they do! These are the most helpful guys (and business) I have ever met in 50 years (or more!) of driving cars and needing repairs. On one occasion, they fixed my tire for free! On another they were extraordinarily helpful to NOT cause me to have a big bill, and fit me into to their schedule seamlessly. Once I had to cancel an appointment--no problem . Another time I appeared without previous contact--also no problem. They simply go out of their way (caveat!--they are located "way out of the way")to be of help and service. IU parents beware: businesses closer to "downtown" Bloomington may rip you off, but THESE GUYS WILL NOT! They are ethical, kind, understanding, and do excellent work. Kudos!! read more

I had a quite negative experience at TK body shop. In short, I was not treated courteously and I have to call them every singe time I wanted an update on my car. They said it's going to take one week to repair my car then on the last day they told me (and again I called them to find out about this) that it's going to take another week. By the time we went to pick up my car on the end of the second week (and again I have to call them...), they said they finished the job but the engine hood was still misaligned. Eventually they agreed to work on it again the next Monday. Besides, the total cost is 500 dollars more expensive than the estimation and I have to go though an ugly negotiation on the price. read more

Went to Tony Kinsers after busting a fog light. After I got a $110 estimate from a chain shop, I decided to seek repairs elsewhere. Not only did Tony Kinser's look at my car free of charge (the other place would've charged me just to "inspect" it), he temporarily fixed the light for free, because it only needed a slight adjustment by hand. I definitely recommend this place with excellent service, friendly people, and innovative techniques that save money, instead of trying to rip you off. Five stars! I'll definitely be back! read more
