Had delivery with my roommate from this Tony Roma's this past weekend. Winnipeg unfortunately doesn't have a good BBQ/ribs scene, with limited options available. I had a half slab of back ribs with the original sauce, coleslaw, and mashed potatoes. The ribs were good for Winnipeg's standards (definitely had better elsewhere), and the sauce was also decent. I found the coleslaw to be very dry; there wasn't much sauce at all. Probably one of the worst slaws I've had. At least the ribs and mashed potatoes redeemed it somewhat. My roommate swears by the ribs here and I generally can say they're good for what you can get in the city. I try to support local businesses more though, so I don't expect to order from here much. read more

We ordered bountiful beef ribs with fully loaded bakes potatoes , all 4 ribs were burned (because I saw that the restaurant was very busy today Mother Day - so we didn't want to bother them about this and tried to eat, but we really couldn't because it was too bitter, the meat was burned, we told the waiter, they said they would remake the burned part but had to wait more than 20 minutes for the food to arrive, while the restaurant only allows a maximum 2 hours for people to sit down to eat. We talked to the manager, and they said they would reduce the price of our meal by half. I was a bit surprised with the manager's solution, because it was actually the restaurant problem. They don't apologize or say anything to please customers. Maybe they can try keep like treat look nice give some coupons or not charge for the meal. We come to eat to enjoy the food, not come to eat, a meal, the food was burned... so sad for the meal today, Mother's Day. I recently visited Tony Roma's restaurant on a busy day, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. I will definitely be back for sure

My friend and I loved the casual ambiance here. I saw some people dressed elegantly but most customers were dressed comfortable. The waiters and waitresses were dressed in an upscale way though. The person making drinks wasn't really on the ball yesterday night. My plain lemonade drink tasted like water and had to be re-made. My friend's mojito was watery too. The mint was not properly crushed and there was too much ice in his drink. He decided to try the Hurricane drink and he liked that one better. My friend ordered the steak medallion and ribs. The side meal was Mac and cheese and it wasn't very cheesy. The ribs were a bit dry but the steak was well cooked my friend told me. I ordered the Caesar salad and the Caesar dressing was perfectly creamy and I was happy it had that perfect Caesar taste with cheese and croutons. The bread that comes with every order was nice and fluffy. Overall I think the evening's food adventure deserved a 3.5 star rating. The food didn't WOW us but it was decent and our waiter was easy to communicate with. read more

I was excited to go out for a good steak dinner and being a special wedding anniversary we chose to make a group reservation at Tony's. The menu was limited and averagely priced . We waited a long time for our orders. When my 6 ounce steak dinner arrived I thought this steak is not 6 ounces and more like a very small 3 to 4 ounce steak which I ordered cooked just above rare so it should have not shrank that much during cooking. The sides to go with our dinners were meagre to say the least . My wife's order looked as it was left under a heat lamp too long. I talked to the manager , she was very insensitive and showed very little concern . I was so insulted I did not leave a tip . They ruined a fun night out. read more

We had a retirement party with 50 people attending to honour the person. We came in about 45 minutes early to set up the room, and the staff were very good in helping out. After that all 50 people ordered their food, and got it soon after served hot. From talking with quite a few of them they enjoyed their food. I found my dish a little to salty, but good none the less. What can I say the service was bang on, they handled 50 people with ease. Every one enjoyed both the food and the time spend there, so for group event like this I can recommend this location. read more

Went to Tony romas for my brother's birthday. We have been to this location before, I have always had a great time. Tonight was the first time I found the ribs to be a bit dry. 2 other people at my table also agreed they were dry. I mentioned it to our waitress and she was very kind. She wanted to bring us new ribs but we decided we were too hungry to wait. The manager came out and apologized and also tried to give us more ribs but we insisted it wasn't a big deal. Our waitress brought us out 2 desserts on the house. I thought that was very nice of her. And both desserts were great! I wanted to say thanks for the great service and for acknowledging that we were hoping for the most ribs that you normally serve. I am sure that was the first and only time. We went for my birthday dinner on Thursday and received service like you very rarely see any more. Mike was friendly, helpful and very conscientious of the needs of the entire table. He was friendly and patient with my 5 year old nephew(autistic), patient with us as we ordered and kept returning to see if we needed anything. The biggest thing though, was when he said to my mom whose ribs were blackened "...do you want new ribs, those look beyond over cooked... I wouldn't eat them!" When he took them a couple of us said "Yeah, she'll get them when we're ready to leave!" But he was back within minutes, he took them from another order that was up waiting for the rest from another group. I know it seems like it'd make another group wait longer, but he said they're still waiting for the rest of the orders for their table so they'd never know! Mike's service was rare, even in a restaurant as good as Tony Roma's. the medallions and ribs were amazing and the beans are always great! It was a perfect place for a birthday meal! We made a group booking for a 65th Wedding Anniversary. Meal was good but there was a mix up with everyone's steaks and sides. Who ever is doing the plating needs to step it up! Came here twice with coworkers. The first time we came for dinner and had ribs which were good. The second time we came for lunch. I had a burger that was cooked properly but the bun was dry and crispy (stale, not toasted). My coworkers had French Dips. Their bread was also dry and crispy. Their meat was bone dry as well and tasted old. The server was polite and ended up comping the sandwiches which was nice but the food shouldn't have been served. read more

I took my family to this Tony Romas last night and was unhappy with the experience for two reasons. First, was that my wife, who is celiac, was assured that her meal was gluten free, but still got sick afterwards. The other it felt more like a visit to the red-light district than family dining. The hostesses were dressed completely inappropriately for a family restaurant (fishnet stockings, mini skirts and breasts falling out - beyond cleavage). It upset my 11-year old daughter and I was certainly was not comfortable either. That is not the example I want set for her! Plus, I'd be surprised if the hostesses were even 18. It just goes against our values as a family and we will not be dining there again. read more

My favourite place to go for my family's birthday' s and special occasions for the adults and the my oldest grandson who is a teenager. My one & only grand - daughter and my youngest grandson love going out with me/us. My family loves the onion loaf! The food is delicious! The staff is very friendly. Service is great! P.S.
