Independent Beer Bar is 21+ and dog friendly. During our visit, the kitchen was out of order; however, outside food is welcome. Beer/tap bars are quite trendy nowadays. Independent Beer Bar was established before the big trend so don't expect anything too fancy. Indoors is actually on the decrepit side. My wife had a Voodoo Citrus Pale Ale for $7. I had a Fat Orange Cat Baby Kittens Hazy IPA for $7. Pricing is fair compared to surrounding area. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic. I look forward to returning in the future with hopes to pair Russian dumplings with my beer.

The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

I guess I came at the right time cause Tony was trying a new Sunday steak special out innocent victims walking through the door. Surprisingly good steak for $6.95, cooked by Tony himself! I guess you can get it with eggs and toast or potato and salad. Looks like my new spot on Sunday's. I don't think Ten-01 is ADA accessible. There is a small run-down outdoor seating area. Ten-01 offers a full bar along with draft beer. The bar is downstairs while the kitchen is upstairs. Upstairs one will also find a pool table and the band stage for live entertainment. If a train passes during your visit, Ten-01 offers a $2 beer. There were no trains during our visit. Taco Tuesday is offered every day of the week; 3 tacos for $5. Food items consist of pizza, burgers and standard bar food. While deciding on our lunch, we slurped on a Manny's and Bodhi for $7 each. For our meal we ordered the 13" Chicken Ranch Pizza for $15: white sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, red onions, chicken and bacon. Ten-01 was out of mushrooms so black olives were substituted in place of the mushrooms. White onions were on the pizza instead of the listed red onions. The standard parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes were never offered or brought to our table. The entire pizza was a disappointment. Before leaving, my wife had a Jameson on the rocks for $10 and I had a Hendricks and soda for $12. Staff was friendly. Overall, Ten-01 is overpriced in their beers and cocktails compared to the surrounding bars. Pizza is an indulgence, instead I left mad about my lunch choice. Go to the White Buffalo for exceptional pizza. The overall bar is too unkempt for my liking. We will never return.

Indoors is spacious with several tables scattered about. For entertainment, Player's offers pool tables, pool tabs, darts, fooseball and TV's. All day on Tuesday's, soft or crunchy beef tacos or carne asada street tacos with cilantro are $2 each. My wife had a couple pints of Bud Light for $4.75 each. I had a couple pints of Bodhi IPA for $5.75 each. Our beers were ice cold and filled to the rim. We each ordered one crunchy and one soft (fajita size) ground beef taco for $2 each. The tacos were stuffed with seasoned taco meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Filling and tasty. Overall, Player's is a decent bar for the surrounding area. Due to the type of bar that this is, top-notch customer service shouldn't be expected. Have a seat and enjoy a cold brew while waiting on food orders. Golden Fleece has an Eastern European (Georgian) vibe, as evidenced by the menu and some staffing choices. I like that it's not all typical bar food here, Prices are fair, drinks are strong, and service is quick and friendly. I would love to see more Georgian food and drink on the menu, like dumplings, kubdari, kharcho, achma maybe, a real qababi to go with the plov... and how about a chacha- based cocktail? The tables and cues can be somewhat unkempt. We had to hunt considerably for straight cues with good tips, and brush our table free of debris. Tip: opt for a table further from the front entrance, for better equipment selection. This part of the experience needs improvement, but should be an easy fix. The music can be too loud and, frankly, too much of one genre. I feel they are trying to ride a line between nightclub and pool hall, to attract younger clientele. This may be tough on players that need relative quiet to concentrate. All and all, a fun time. I cannot say that it is a "clean" hall, either figuratively or literally, but I can say that at least at this point in time, it's still approachable to those just looking for a drink and a nibble while shooting a game or two with friends, with minimum drama. Walking through the pool area to get to the bathroom, I didn't feel like I was going to ruin anyone's shot. I ordered at the bar upon entering and grabbed one of these tall tables for our group. They knew where we were stting as the food came right out to us. The menu is regular bar food and it is not too bad. The bathrooms themselves were decently clean. The staff was friendly and eager to serve us. There is also an entire basement filled with pool tables that we did not check out. This place is open late so a good option for a late night hang.

They require a minimum of 8 wings per flavor, so if you come with a big group you can mix and match flavors easily. My top two flavors: hot (buffalo) and the dry rub lemon pepper. Service is alright. You seat your self (if there is a table open). On busy days, you just fight for a table. I wish they implemented some form of queue or paper on which party is next. Tables just get wiped down with a rag. But the price / quality for the wings makes me come back every time.

During dart season, I was here at least twice a week. However, after moving about half a mile away in December 2025, I started coming even more, sometimes three or four times a week, usually Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and the occasional Saturday. I genuinely considered myself a regular. Unfortunately, there's one small problem: apparently I'm a regular who has achieved invisibility. Unless Jackie B is working, getting the attention of the bar staff can sometimes feel like trying to communicate with a satellite. Jackie B has always been the highlight for me, she actually sees the customers, takes care of people, and somehow manages to notice that humans are sitting down in the dart area. Every time Jackie B is working, the experience is noticeably better. The service in the dart area can otherwise be extremely hit-or-miss, particularly during the day. If you're shooting darts, you may want to bring a flare gun, smoke signal, or possibly a small flag. There seems to be a mysterious service blind spot, especially around the first few tables near the smoking area. But honestly, the biggest disappointment for me has been the removal of the Medalist dart boards. When Cactus Moon got rid of them, it didn't just mean losing a couple of dart boards. It left several of us regular dart players without a home bar with no explanation from anybody at Cactus Moon. And unfortunately, many of my Medalist dart partners simply stopped coming to Cactus Moon altogether. We had a group, a routine, and a place where we played. Suddenly, we didn't. It was honestly embarrassing to be left scrambling for somewhere else to play after years of treating Cactus Moon as our home. For a group of regular customers who had invested that much time and money into the bar, it felt like being politely evicted from your own clubhouse. And that's the frustrating part: Cactus Moon used to be my favorite bar. I even chose my apartment partly because I was so close to it. There are still plenty of things I like about the place. The food is genuinely good. The Wednesday and Thursday half-price burgers are a great deal, and the Thursday night wing specials are worth showing up for. And the Friday-night prime rib is really darn good. If you come here hungry, order something--I've had consistently good food. Then there's today, 8/30/26. I came in for breakfast and darts, fully prepared to spend some money at a place I've supported for years. After 94 minutes and two drinks, I finally gave up on breakfast and went somewhere else to eat. It was nearly 30 minutes between receiving my second drink and finally asking for my tab so I could take my business elsewhere. I understand that bars get busy, staffing can be difficult, and sometimes service falls through the cracks. Today was not one of those days. When you're coming in three or four times a week, tipping well, and spending a lot of time there, repeatedly feeling invisible gets old. At this point, I'm pretty sure I've reached a level of invisibility normally reserved for ghosts. The irony is that I'll probably still be back. It's the only dart bar around, and I'll likely show up for the Friday dart tournament in the near future. I just may be bringing my wallet along strictly for moral support.
