    Tonyas Kitchen Menu
    Ray M.

[[Sat.12.Aug.2023 @ 11am]] Wife & I came thru Marietta Ohio and done some shopping at the "Cooks Shop", afterwards we went next door to get some Lunch at "Tonyas Kitchen". After entering "Tonyas Kitchen" in Marietta OH., every thing seem to be fine, Atmosphere, Cleanliness and Etc. We sat down and waited for Staff to bring us a couple menu's, which that did not take long to get, maybe 3-5minutes. But, then it took a total of 40minutes for our Food that we ordered to make it to our table, the Server/Waitress apologized for it taking excessive over time for our food to make to our table. We was not the only ones waiting on food there was other customers there before we arrived that was waiting for there orders a long period of time to, plus some customers complaining outside about the terrible service and wait time. Yes, they was not at 100% on there game, but, the Food was Delicious and Cooked, Prepared correctly no problems with the Taste of the Food. Staff just needs to keep watch on time that customers enter doors so that to much time does not pass by before checking on customers, also, may be best, which ever Server/Waitress brings menu's out to customers is the Server/Waiter that should return to table to take customers order, they should not think that another Server/Waiter will check on customers to take there order. But other then that every thing else was fine, even tho there was a mess up, we still gave a tip, we all in this world have them type days where our game is off.

I lived in Marietta for about 10 years before moving to Virginia 5 years ago. I come back frequently to visit family; roughly every 2-3 months. When in the area, I'm always dining out; generally hitting up my favorites in the area, but sometimes giving some new spots some service. This visit we tried Tonya's Country Kitchen. Mixed reviews from the hubby, me and our youngest son. First off, the place sits in downtown Marietta on Front Street, which is near the river. It's absolutely charming downtown, adorned with hanging baskets and artsy storefronts. Tonya's Country Kitchen looks equally charming, with retro decor. When we walked in, there were signs to seat yourself. We took a seat at a table for 4 near the back. A minute or two passed, and one very rude older woman came over and slammed down menus in front of the 3 of us and silverware. I thought perhaps her face might crumble if she smiled, because it didn't look as if she had, in more than 20 years. No 'welcome', no greetings; just slam down the menus and silverware and walk away. A couple of minutes later, the waitress walks over and she did in fact have a smile, which seemed forced unfortunately. My 20 year old son ordered a chocolate milk and the steak and eggs (add cheese), which also came with home fries and toast. And the hubby and I ordered 2 unsweetened iced teas and split the Big Mike's Breakfast, which comes with 3 eggs, which we ordered scrambled, bacon or sausage (we got bacon), home fries, toast (we ordered white) and a biscuit with sausage gravy. We also ordered a side pancake. Food came out in a typical time, but wasn't hot. In fact, our eggs were cold, like someone might have cooked them first. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast, but I wasn't even slightly impressed. I thought the eggs were cold and rubbery, the bacon was thin and rubbery and the home fries were under cooked. I didn't partake of the pancake, which my husband said was really good. But I did have a half of the biscuit and the sausage gravy, which was pretty decent. Son didn't like any of his breakfast and wasted most. The only thing this place has going for it is location and decor. The service was awful and the food was lacking. We won't be returning and I don't recommend.

    Very retro. Cutely decorated

Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and great prices. I had the breakfast bowl which is a large portion. Not a huge breakfast menu but still plenty of options. Located in downtown Marietta. Great quaint location. Would def recommend. Pass up the Ihop and other chain restaurants and stop in here

I can't say enough good things about this location. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is clean. Food is delicious. We celebrated our daughter sweet 16 here tonight and it was a great place for family to gather.

We walked into Town House and were greeted by a few local patrons and a friendly server. My colleague ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese with fries which she stated was good. It wasn't over the top fantastic but was a good solid choice. I chose 12 traditional wings- 6 were BBQ dry rub and 6 were Cajun dry rub- I'd say they were excellent. All 12 had a good amount of meat on them. Also, the dry rub was the perfect amount. Often you get wings coated in the dry rub or you're looking for the dry rub in the basket. Overall, I'd recommend Town House if you're in the Marietta area.

You can sit outside along the river and enjoy the view, or there's indoor seating if you'd rather be inside. The menu has a great variety, the food comes out hot, and the service has always been great in my experience. It's a good option whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or making an evening out of it. On weekend evenings, the atmosphere gets even better with live music and games. One thing to keep in mind is that parking can get a little tricky when they're super busy, especially during popular weekend times. Between the riverfront seating, great food, and fun atmosphere, Boathouse BBQ is definitely a place I'd recommend!

Then we got our diet pop and placed a order for our favorite appetizer there lobster dip. Ran out of drinks waiting on food. The wife had to go get the 1st couple of refills. The manager was full of excuses due to a large 30 top table outside. But we watched him visiting the bar customers instead of taking care of the dining room. 1 hour 10 minutes onto our experience our food came with our appetizer all at the same time. The last time we were here the brisket was AMAZING tender, juicy and overall cooked perfectly. 3 of us got the brisket that was flame thrown, dry and the bottom of our baskets were swimming in grease. I ate a hand full of my sweet potato fries but the rest were inedible due to swimming in the brisket grease. Wife had to get our drinks again and had to tap it on the counter to get anyone's attention. Then the manager and owner threatened to throw us out over her tapping the plastic cup on the table. We mentioned the food quality etc and he said across the dining room. "DO YOU BELIEVE THIS CRAP NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE FOOD IS BAD" I'm 54 years old and have never experienced such a terribly ran restaurant. We usually leave large tips everywhere we go including this place. They took the appetizer off but still charged us 120.28 for a table of 5 with most of the food still in the baskets. We will never ever eat here again and unless your a bar drinker I don't recommend you do either. The truly sad part is we invited friends here raving about how great the food and service is .(WAS)
