I've been taling my cars here for over 6 years. Tony retired about a year ago, but Nelson and Juan stayed at the shop. Both of them have done a lot of work on the various cars I've owned, including a Bronco with a Cumins diesel engine in it, Chryslers, Dodges and now my Mitsubishi I-MiEV which is an EV (Totally electric vehicle). They also work on hybrids, etc. I always treat these guys respectfully, because having been in the repair business myself, I understand that nothing is perfect, and occasionally a repair job can become difficult, things break, etc. They always stand behind their work, are incredibly honest, and take great pride in what they do. I usually give a cash tip to these guys, because they work hard, and the shop charges about 25% less for labor than a regular corporate shop. Particularly if you own an older car, let them change your oil so they can inspect your car to see if something is about to break. I usually buy my oil (Mobil 1 synthetic) at Costco, and get a premium oil filter from NAPA so that the parts are excellent. I bring this to Tony's and they change the oil for a much lower price than an oil change place. They also let me know if anything is going to break soon. My two gasoine cars each have over 1000,000 miles on them and I would take either one across the country (and have) because they are very well taken care of by Nelson and Juan, and the other fine folks at Tony's Auto Service, at Adams & Dalton. read more

a colombian guy (Marcos) who works here says that the owner (Mayo) just buys all the spare parts of poor quality , and that´s why all the cars break down a few days after being repaired. the spare parts he buys cost a thousand times less than what he tells the costomers , so he can charge them more read more

do not take your car or truck to this shop ! i spoke to mayo. this guy lies after lies excuse after excuse . i took my truck in for a transmission rebuild took him over 7 months in his shop . i paid him 3500 , after calling him every 2 weeks for updates to see when the truck will be ready , it was always excuse after excuse. i finally went in to his shop and told him i need my truck for work after 6 months. after driving my truck home the transmission kept shifting gears not only that but the engine started to shake and having other problems. the engine had no problems before taking it to this shop . i told him i would take him to court im in the process of taking him to court to get my money back . these guys dont know what their doing and dont care about your car they over charge on prices ! as for the truck now i ended up taking it to the junk yard ! if you take your cars to these guys get ready for big headaches and lost of money with waste of time ! there not honest and have no clue what their doing ! read more

I've been here twice. The first time was to get a diagnose on a noise the car was making. The owner Tony, told me the truth that his technicians couldn't pin point the noise, he didn't charge me since he couldn't figure it out. Tony is very honest and pleasant man. I recently went to get strut mounts put on my scion xa. I called ahead to get a quote, and surprisingly he remembered me =). He quoted me $100 labor for both sides, I had my own parts. Another local shop wanted $100 labor per side, and Toyota wanted $504 per side which includes labor and part. It took the techs about 1 hour and 30 minutes for fix everything. I paid Tony $100 cash, and am very happy. I recommend Tony's Auto Service, fast, honest work. =)) read more

After having a horrible experience at Midas, I called Tony and he told me to come right over! There were about 5 mechanic working there and they were all busy working hard. I didn't even have to wait too long and they even gave me a really good deal! Tony told me that he can check my engine for free in 2 weeks since Midas told me that my engine was pretty much dead... My first experience was fine but my second visit cost me $2000 for a new belt tensioner... Everything he told me that was new was old or used parts. Took my truck to sun's service auto repair..... and they are actually fixing everything that should of been fixed in the first place and actually replacing broken parts with ACTUAL brand new parts. I've only been here once and, after reading the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Yelp, decided to give them a try. Professional, courteous and honest, Tony's does live up to its reputation for being an extremely reliable auto service business. I drove cross country and wanted to check out my car to see if there was any hidden damage I was not aware of. Tony's had my car inspected and changed the oil for a paltry 60 dollars. My Toyota manufacturer would have charged at least triple their asking price and they even said that I needed to change my back brakes in about a month (I already knew this though because I had inspected the brake pads myself and came to about the same conclusion). My former dealership wanted me to change the brakes out almost immediately and were going to charge upwards of 500 dollars. read more

I came here a few times last year for a simple oil change and they charged me $80 each time because it was "synthetic oil". I thought maybe because I was driving far at times I had to keep coming in and changing the oil. Wrong!! they were over charging me and ripping me off not even putting all the oil I paid for! My cars motor ended up getting really mest up because it didn't have sufficient oil! even though I just changed it 3 months ago. Obviously this happened with time because each time I took it in to them they ripped me off! Long story short!! We own a company Van, It over heated and my driver took it to the regular mechanic shop. They said the head engine needed to be replaced. The price they quoted me was so high that I started looking around on yelp and I contacted Tony's. When I described to Tony's the diagnostic he quoted me $1,395, which was much lower. I decided to tow the van to Tony's. When he examined the car he said the problem is something else and he charged me $500. We picked up the Van today. They could have charged me the same $1395 and fixed the van and I would not have known. In my book, that's an HONEST mechanic. He will be our mechanic from now on. read more

I used to love this place, until I realized I was being ripped off. They installed a "new" alternator for me, which I though was great and the price was excellent. Fast forward two years later and I have to replace my alternator again. They charged me for a new part, but my new mechanic told me that they clearly just tried to fix my old part. When I called to ask them about it, they told me very abruptly that there was only a 1 year warranty and they hung up. Beware! When money is involved, people do shady things. i was blown away by this place's service! it is a little run-down looking as it's not the cleanest place. but who cares! it's dirty cuz they seem to be doing a lot of work. my car died suddenly and i towed it to Tony's (my second visit there) and they took it off my hands right away for a check up. they told me it would be $150 for a battery change, which is already a great price. when i went back to get it, they not only told me they changed my oil but also that it came down to $100. that to me is amazing. great service. very knowledgable. not a ripoff for sure read more

I never have had to take a vehicle to get worked on, was always handled by the males in my family, so I was nervous and unsure of where to go where they wouldn't over price things to a girl who really doesn't know anything about cars. I was happy to hear a friendly voice on the phone to initially ask my question to. When I arrived this morning I told him what my guy friend's thought might be wrong, he quickly checked things. Let me know my battery was bad, and how much and how long it would be. I came back 30 minutes later, to a perfectly running car and a bank account that was happy. My friend who picked me up while I was waiting said she would be taking her car there from now on, and I will DEFINITELY be taking my car back if I have any other problems. These guys are so awesome. They do a great job and are very reasonable. I had a lot of work done and any place else I would have only been able to do the work little by little, but because their prices are so low I was able to get everything done at one time, which is better of course. My valve cover gasket was replaced about a month ago. After which I took my car in for an oil change at another location and the guy told me that he saw the part was new but it was leaking which happens sometime the guy assured me. I called Tony's Auto and told them about it, they did not hesitate to get me back in and fix the problem at no extra cost. These guys are amazing and I highly recommend them, especially to women who sometimes get ripped off or taken advantage of because some of us are not as knowledgeable as others about our cars. read more

My oil pressure gage was reading High and I called Tony's at 10:30 am they took my truck in. They diagnosed and replaced the oil pressure switch and got it back to me in tip too condition and answered all my questions very patiently. My "Mercury Cougar '99" needed 3 motor mounts to be replaced. Tony changed all 3 in 4 hours and I picked my car back the same day! I brought my own parts and he charged me $165 for labor which is very nice price for that kind of work ($264+taxes at Firestone). He accepts cash, credit/debit cards. After calling around for quotes to replace the timing belt on my Toyota 4runner, I came across this place and I'm glad I did. The only bad part about my experience is that they estimated it would take 5-6 hours, it took 7 1/2. Regardless, they were professional and I felt they were honest people not there to try and rip you off or get extra money out of you. They guarantee their work and for someone like me who can't get their car fixed on weekdays, are open until 5 on Saturdays. How awesome is an honest mechanic... My brakes are squeaking on the used car I bought in May, so I assume they need to be replaced. I call to get a quote and it is by far the best quote I got. I take it in and they say they are going to check them for me. I come back to pick it up - he tells me the front brakes are almost new and the back ones can wait for 5-6 months. Doesn't charge me for it. Got an oil change - but will definitely be coming back for brakes in a few months. read more

Went here to have someone look at me car. The guys were nice, and helpful.. ended up just switching one of my tires- $40 for one used tired and labor, not that bad. Reason why I'm giving a one star review is because the mechanic broke off one of the studs while taking off the old tire... He then changed my tire leaving only 3 studs to secure it.. when I complained he then went on to offer $5 off for the tire.. and a discounted price of $25 (parts and labor) for him to fix the problem HE CAUSED. After arguing, I ended up paying full price for the tire and getting the problem fixed for free. (he then had a very negative / rude attitude, walked away when finished and said "Your cars ready. Pay inside." & didn't speak to me again) Am I wrong to think that he should have fixed the mistake without me asking? Should have taken the blame, fixed it and still offer me the $5 for wasting my time? What happened to good customer service? read more

Tony's Auto has saved the day so many times for my family. Yesterday, the window in the family van stopped working while it was all the way down - hours before the biggest rainstorm of the season. The parts for the elevator mechanism in the power windows would have cost hundreds of dollars from the manufacturer, but the crew looked at it, rebuilt it for half the price and had us back on the road the next day.
