I order most of my cakes from Tony's Cakes. Birthdays, baby showers, Friendsgiving.... I love how easy it is to order using their online system and their prices are very competitive. I typically order basic style cakes and decorate them myself. They taste delicious and you can also order different desserts for your dessert table. They are very responsive and usually give you a quote within 24 hours. I highly recommend them if you are looking for special occasion cakes!

I'm giving a five star review because my daughter was extremely happy with the outcome of her bday cake The red velvet was fantastic. Everything was perfect. She got a picture of some characters printed on the cake per her request. When I picked up the cake on the scheduled day I asked if it would be good to refrigerator till the following day when we were having a party The person helping me said that would fade. When I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent it, I got a response that I interpreted as being smart ass, and he said ordered for the day you actually needed it. Considering I'm not a baker or don't know anything about cakes. I think that would be a good question to ask when somebody orders a cake with a picture printed on it, not just when do you wanna pick it up but what's the actual day of the party. Regardless of that, I will definitely use them in the future, I will just ask more questions, and I highly recommend There's another cake shop down the street. I couldn't even get a response to my emails from, and I've used this other shop several times and I will tell you that I will never go back and I will continue to frequent Tony's cakes. I'd like to know that we drove all the way from San Leandro to pick up this case that's how good they are
**check the photos for Tony's response to this straight up MESSSSS. He tells us that for a full refund we would have to bring back the uneaten cake.?Unfortunately we didn't know our cake was wrong until we cut into it at OUR PARTY where yes it needed to be served as it was the only cake we bought. This company is a jooooke. Couldn't even do the right thing when they were alllll wrong. My boyfriend's parents put us in charge of their 50th anniversary party and I knew instantly I wanted to get them a special cake. No costco, no Whole Foods but a real bakery from a real local business. We would have used cakes by Karl ( also in Vallejo) but they did not do marble cake which we knew we wanted in order to match their original wedding cake. Tony's had marble cake as an option and good Yelp reviews so I thought I had found the perfect match! We did the online order form as requested, and my boyfriend confirmed with a woman on the phone TWICE( once the wk our cake was due) that our order was correct and we were on the same page. We even paid in full before we ever got our cake. When we arrived to pick uour cake up yesterday it was beautiful but it was WRONG!! We asked for a marble cake with chocolate buttercream frosting. No other flavors, fillings, or stuffings just marble cake with chocolate frosting. We got a cake covered in white frosting!!! We told the lady we asked for chocolate frosting and she checked her order form to prove us wrong but quickly realized she was wrong and then went to work making chocolate frosting right there in front of us. We were there to pick up our cake for a agreed upon time of 10:30 and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for her to scrape the white frosting off, make chocolate frosting, and then redecorate our cake with the fresh flowers we ordered. " Tony" could be seen in the back decorating right in front of the girl who was doing our cake and he never addressed us or her about the lack of professionalism. He was probably rightfully embarrassed but it was sad to not see a business owner own up to their mistakes and make things right. No one should show up to cake pick up with the complete wrong cake. To make matters worse... yes it get worse than watching your cake scraped and remade in front of you. When we actually cut the cake at our party...it was wrong too!!! We got the marble cake but with a layer of white frosting in the middle and STRAWBERRIES?!!!! The chocolate frosting we asked for was completely disregarded!!!l They effed this cake up. It was nasty. No one asked where it was from. No one took home the leftovers. This place I feel is in over their heads. I do NOT recommend.
The guava cake was absolutely delicious. Best one I've ever had. The cake was extremely moist. And the decor was exactly the way I imagined. The process of ordering online was convenient, and saved me time. The day of pick up was smooth and the person who helped me was super friendly. Definitely ordering from here again in the future.
This review is strictly for the Mother's Day box Tony's created this year. It was such a beautiful presentation that my mom didn't even want to touch it. Once she did though everything was absolutely perfection! My mom said, "I can eat this whole box by myself" and she's loved the tres leches with the Dulce de leche! I hope they continue to offer boxes like this where you can sample other treats they offer. Thanks to Tony and his crew!
I am very disappointed when they made my son's birthday cake. I didn't really expect it to be that nice because I only show them the ideal cake and I paid out $160. They print out the topper with regular paper.
Excellent service and quality cakes. We ordered tres leches and vanilla with strawberries. Both were heavenly good! My family is excited to try their other flavors. Beautiful fall themed cakes and fresh ingredients. Fair prices. We would definitely return to this local bakery. Thank you Chef Tony and Staff!

We ordered a cake and desserts (churros, cheesecakes, cupcakes, and macarons) from Tony's cakes for our babyshower this passed weekend and it did not disappoint. All the guests loved the desserts and there was nothing left. For tje cake we got carrot cake on bottom tier and marble on top tier with whipped frosting and strawberries as a filing. The cakes were light, fluffy and moist and the frosting was the perfect amount of sweetness. It was a huge hit and many people were inquiring about where we got it from, we will be ordering from here for future events. read more

We loved it and every event from now on will include a Tony Cake. I was let down by another bakery. Tony and his amazing staff looked at my photos and listened to my color scheme. I left with an amazing cake that was not only the center piece of my table but DELICIOUS. It was my mom's 65th birthday and for as long as I knew her she never ate chocolate cake. We ordered from another small business bakery and when I picked it up it was chocolate. I needed a cake.. today. I looked online and found Tony's Cakes. I went there and was able to purchase a fresh vanilla cake with whip cream topping. Oh the Oatmeal cookies are great too. read more

A few of my friends are actually related to Tony, so I figured let me help a friend and a local small business. The shop is clean and smells delicious as soon as you walk in. They are in there working hard and you can see the passion. Great customer service, every time I entered I felt appreciated and welcomed. The cake came out perfect! ordered a few desserts for my grandmas 81st birthday and it was amazing ! from the sweetness of the desserts and the presentation was so beautiful . everyone loved all of the desserts . I just wanted to say that Tony's Cakes was able to prepare this beautiful cake with very short notice( 2 days). The cake was ready on time and it was beautiful. I described the colors of the party and let him freestyle on the design, and it turned out perfectly. The pic doesn't do it any justice, but there was enough for our 25 guest to have a nice size slice with some left over. Thank you so much and I will be using your services again. read more

Being new to the area and filtering through tons of bakeries, I stumbled upon Tony's Cakes. I was looking for someone to make my daughters unique birthday cake. My first interaction with the staff was great, everyone was friendly, extremely helpful and efficient with the cake process. I texted over the picture of the cake , they blew it up on their computer and the rest was in their hands. I picked up the cake and was shocked, it was beautiful and looked EXACTLY like requested. My daughter was thrilled and overjoyed with how realistic this cake looked. The inside tasted just as good as the outside looked! Tony is the West Coast Cake Boss! His cakes are creative and delicious. My daughter and her husband wanted something original for their wedding cake. Since he propsed at the castle in Segovia they thought a reproduction would be fun. We checked with several reputable bakeries but they specialized in traditional wedding cakes. My friend suggested I try Tony. We ordered cupcakes and agreed the flavors were amazing so we showed him pictures of the castle and he jumped at the challenge. Well he did not disappoint. The cake drew applause when it was wheeled out and we heard over and over how delicious it was. Congratulations Tony! You are an artist! read more

Tony's Cakes did an AMAZING job making our daughter's birthday cake! She absolutely LOVES everything that is related to outer space, and she screamed with excitement when she saw it. We ordered a triple-layer vanilla cake with strawberry, banana, and pineapple filling; simply put, it was DELICIOUS!!! The buttercream frosting wasn't overly sweet either. People in our family that don't even like sweets ate at least two slices, and took some home! The delivery service saved me so much time as well, and his staff's service was excellent! wow! I emailed Tony last minute asking if he could do a Jurassic Park themed cake for my 3 year old son's birthday party and he did an AMAZING job! Not only did the cake look awesome but everyone raved how good it tasted too! My son absolutely LOVED his cake which made me so happy. We ordered our wedding cake with Tony's Cakes for our event last October 2018 at The Lodge at Sonoma. Not only was the cake excellent but we loved Tony and his customer service. Upon his recommendation we went with the tiered cake with three of our favorite cake flavors in each slice. It was so good, fun and a unique way to have several types of cake in each slice offering our guests variety. The cake was also beautiful and delivery etc. was all easy and streamlined. I lucked UP! The cake Gods smiled on me no doubt. I decided last minute to get a friend a birthday cake. Her favorite is Tres Leches. So I search Yelp for the best Tres Leches cake in my area. Well, when you repeatedly get directed to a business you tend to check a bit more in depth. Tony's Cakes would not be defeated. The repeated claims of the most moist cake ever is what convinced me to order. I called and was provided direction to the on line order form and the rest is history. They encourage you to call back as soon as you complete the online order if you are in a rush to make sure your order can be filled. They answered and worked out the details with me and it was a GO! The price was right, my special request for a Bond No 9 bottle embossed Tres Leches cake was born. The pick up was like the majority of customers who see their cake in person.. it's so unbelievable, the artistic creativity and skill are top notch. My friend said this was the best Tres Leches she has ever had. She swore she would not buy one from anywhere else after having this moist deliciousness. Thank you Tony!!! read more

I love this place! I tried them out initially when I needed some cupcakes for a baby shower. They had some ready-made which was super convenient. The cupcakes were delicious! We then ordered my daughter's birthday cake from them and it was gorgeous. It was a 3-tiered, elegant, Mermaid themed cake. It turned out exactly how we wanted. They offer dessert packages for events with reasonable prices and every pastry selection is delicious! The lady who helped us was very kind and friendly. They are very accommodating even with a short notice. This is no doubt one of the best food places in Vallejo. read more

Tony's is my go to bakery! I purchase all my family events cake and desserts from here. Amazing service, friendly staff. And can do last minute orders for a very reasonable extra charge price. This is literally a year later and I'm still thinking about the cakes Tony made for me. It was my sisters baby shower and also my 21st birthday. I gave him an imagery of exactly what I wanted colors and everything and he did just that. Also he does tastings which most bakeries out here don't. So that is how you know he is very professional. He is so easy and fast to communicate with and didn't give me a hard time at all. He is everything you would want as your baker man!! I made an appointment to meet with Tony about a month and half before my event. It was easy to set up the appointment through the website. We met and I showed him a picture of a cake I liked. The day of my event he delivered the cake and everyone at the party including myself were wowed by it! It exceeded my expectations! Each tier was different flavors (Carrot, marble with mocha filling and pink champagne). All the guests loved it! I will definitely order cakes from him in the future! read more

From the moment i met Tony, i knew this was the place i wanted my sisters baby shower cake to be made! He was extremely friendly and super nice and detailed! His price was reasonable!
