I Hoberg's!! Shasta and Kevin are amazing !!…read more They remind me so much of my grandfather; They truly are caring and not just out to "make a buck" like the major chains of auto repair shops, or others, are. I drive a little '92 Nissan D10 truck, aka Red Wagon. The drivers seatbelt is frayed and doesn't retract anymore. A few months ago, I asked Kevin if he could find a new one for Red Wagon and how much $ it would be. He found one, told me they were very limited bc Red Wagon was so old and they didn't make the seatbelt a anymore. I thanked him and told him I had to save the $ for it. He said if I payed for it, and I couldn't afford the install, he would hold the seatbelt for me until I could. I went in to Hoberg's about a week ago, for something else, and Shasta and I talked about Red Wagon's seatbelt. I told her I still wanted it but again, I had to save $. This morning I got a call from Shasta. She said she called on Red Wagon's seatbelt and found that there was only one left. She ordered Red Wagon's seatbelt!! She had it put on her account, which gives her and I about 3 weeks to pay for it. She wanted me to have a new one and not have one pulled from a junkyard. That is CARING!! Amazing, simply Amazing!! Thank You Hoberg's Auto!!

I needed four new tires. What a bummer! Mine were down to 1/32 and 2/32 so prior to an upcoming…read moreroad trip, I didn't want to take any chances. I had planned to go with a shop in Eugene, however, a co-worker convinced me to check out Shervins before making a decision. I had researched tires before calling the store and the associate was very helpful. I gave him an idea of what I was looking for and also tires I didn't think met my expectations. He agreed! After a few minutes on the phone, we decided upon a set which he said could be delivered by the following business day. Perfect timing! The tires arrived as promised, he called when they came in and I headed down to get them installed. Not only did I receive a great price, but there was a rebate available too. They printed an extra copy of the receipt for me to make it easy to submit. Now, that's customer service. The inside, sales floor/waiting room is super cute! They've converted old cars into seating and it's decorated in 50's nostalgia. Overall, I had an excellent experience.

While there, I made an appointment for 10 am the next week. I arrived early, and the middle-aged employee told me it would take about an hour and a half for an oil change and radiator flush. I told them that I would take a walk and grab a coffee. An hour and fifteen minutes later, I returned to the shop and noticed that my truck was still exactly where I had parked it. The employee said that " he wasn't sure what was going on back there, but that they should get to it when the mechanic is finished with another job ". I asked him, wasn't that what scheduling an appointment is for? For which I received a shrug of the shoulders and a blank stare. Not only have they lost a car care customer for years to come, but I now will be buying my tires from Les Schwab. Maybe a little more money, but at least decent customer service. A whole morning wasted!
