Battery on my Mercedes 2500 motor died so I went straight to Les Schwab in Florence Or. I've been a loyal customer for the last 50 plus years...but no more. I purchase a battery and found out later they charged $51.00 to install it. Fifty One dollars to disconnect two connectors, remove the old battery and drop in the new one. A five minute job I could have done myself if I was not on the road. Battery Plus replaces batteries they sell for FREE! Les Schwab service is no more. If you need a battery, do not go to Les Schwab. And yes, I did call Corporate who told me he would contact Les Schwab in Florence and have them give me a call. He also attempted to defend the charge as some batteries are difficult to change. Les Schwab is no longer Les Schwab. Still waiting on a call. Battery Plus gets my recommendation. Michael M. read more

Today I went to the local Les Schwab and Estacada and had them check the alignment. And yes the alignment did need to be adjusted. I figured that was the case but I was curious about the extra parts that the Florence Les Schwab said I was going to need. Turns out the extra part that they said I needed cost $650. When my local Les Schwab checked it out I did not need the part. They did the alignment when it was done the total cost $126. read more

They checked my tire pressure and all was good so diagnosed it as an issue with my tire sensors. I had those ordered. Had new RV tires installed in Arizona but couldn't trust the valve stems. While traveling I connected with the Florence OR store and was able to have Borg Valve Stems installed on my dual rear wheels and they ensured my front valve stems were routed correctly to be accessible without removing the wheel covers. The technician, Dominic, was concerned that I had 3-inch DRW spacers installed that adversely impact handling and safety on an RV so asked him to remove those [another RV repair company not to be named recommended the spacers and after a blowout/experience with loose lugs am glad those are no longer installed]. I have a very severe petrochemical allergy and am not able to even go into Schwab's showroom without having a very strong reaction. I called ahead and talked to Shawn. He set up my purchasing two front tires and a new battery with tremendous ease for me. I was able to stay outside and just give the technician my phone number; Shawn had the entire order written up and ready to go. He even brought a chair from the showroom for me to sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous day. My car was finished in about 45 minutes. Shawn came out and got my credit info and I was on my way. Terrific price on the tires and battery. The service was unbeatable, and Shawn is a star, in my book. Terrific experience. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else. read more

I would like to send a shout out to the Les Schwab Team in Florence Oregon. We were on a fall road trip and our rear brakes were starting to fail. We stopped in Florence to have them take a look and were informed they were metal to metal. We were 500 plus miles from home. Came here the day after we went to Shevryns Tire Serv. because they didn't look to see if there was a nail or something in the tire after the tire light came on. All they did was put air. Next day I noticed the nail in the front right tire and went to Les Schwab where Mike was extremely thorough with the fix since we have to drive back to So Cal on Monday. We have been going to Les Schwab for over 20 years now for our tire and battery needs. They always have exceptional service by running out to you as you pull up to see what they can do for you. Since moving to Florence, we have been using the local Les Schwab, and we didn't think Les Schwab could get any better, but here in Florence they make you feel like family and always do an amazing job! We recently had six Michilin tires put on our RV, and Luke, the manager, told us they did not replace the stems because ours was already the best option for our tires, thus saving us money. We wanted to put our existing tire monitors on, but the stems were not long enough on the back inner duallys, and Luke knew right away which part we needed to buy for our RV. So yesterday we went back to get the Borg system put on the RV, and they were done within an hour, and we were ready to roll! I had my brakes serviced here on my 2014 VW Touareg and a week later they seized up and CAUGHT ON FIRE. Les Schwab Bend completely redid the work a second time. A few months later my steering wheel was violently shaking every time I would brake. I brought my car in a third time and they claimed the car was fine... There was clearly something VERY WRONG with the braking system, so I brought it to a mechanic specializing specifically in German cars. He said there was excessive runout in the rotors due to the cheap, incompatible parts that Les Schwab uses in their brake jobs. He said these parts would NEVER support the braking system in a car of that grade. Les Schwab refunded my initial brake job but refuses to take responsibility for the substandard parts that they continue to use. You are potentially putting your life at risk getting your brakes done here. read more

We had a puncture on thanksgiving day, and no one was open. We got to the shop at 8 am on Friday morning and they're already back to full service. They helped look at the damage and repaired the tire immediately. Within 30 minutes, we're ready to get back on the road! And even better part is, they did it free of charge! Talk about a terrible experience. I went in get my tire looked at, as it kept going flat. When I went in they said the tire had low tread, so they needed to swap it out. However they could only credit me 72 percent of the worth of the tire as I used 20 something percent of it. Then they told me because of the car I own, if I switch one tire I have to switch 4. Of course, none of those 3 tires are covered under warranty. So after all is said and done, my warranty doesn't mean squat... I won't be back with my hard earned money. read more

Have been in here with my work truck and had technicians making derogatory comments (they said it was a different customer but still?) I've been here several times only to be ignored for other customers, then went to Springfield location, waited an hour with no service, I had to leave for an appointment, the Florence location tried to charge me even tho Springfield was not charging anything. If your car is fancy or if you're a boomer you might get their attention, otherwise be prepared to be ignored, dismissed, over charged. These guys just plain suck. I'd rather pay a local shop to do the work than get it free from this company. read more

Back in the summer of 2016 during our first August as campground hosts on the Oregon Coast, one of our travel trailer tires started to have a slow leak. It would hold air for several days and then go flat. I took the tire off in the campground and drove down to the Les Scwab Tire Center in Florence. They found a small screw in the tread, removed it and patched the hole for free. We have gone back twice for the excellent service. read more

I pulled in with a flat and was greeted as soon as I stepped out of my car. That's impressive! The technician listened to me and let me show him where I'd marked the likely culprit of the leak. I'm a former tire technician(yes, a female tire tech) and a life-long home mechanic, working on cars with my father since I could hold a screwdriver. I watched while waiting, and these people knew what they were doing, did it fast(maybe 15 minutes total time in and out), and did it properly, but what tops it all off is this: It was free!
