I've been to Tony's Nails about 7 times, but it's my new go-to place now because my previous nail place has new ladies who are terrible with doing nails. They are quick, they're friendly, and they're awesome! I honestly don't understand any of these negative reviews. They have always been friendly to me each time I've came. I've came by myself, I've came with my son, with a friend, and with both my son & daughter at different times before, and I've never felt like they were rude or any other negative adjectives for that matter. They always make time for customers, they don't lie about the time frame of your wait - which many nail salons will do ("wait 15 minute" and you're sitting there 30min still waiting). They are very quick and their quality is great. I never feel rushed or ignored. They may be on the quiet side, but I don't mind - I'm there for my nails, not lifelong friendships. People focus on the wrong things. Tony's Nails is an awesome place and I wish I could rate it more than 5 to make up for these crazy mean reviews. I never write reviews but Tony's Nails need some more respect. I have been getting my nails done for 7 years, and they are they best place I have been. I like to get my nails done thick and curved and they are the only place I have found to do my nails the way that I like. And I don't even have a regular person! I do have to agree that sometimes there cleanliness is questionable but if you talk to stephanie (the owner) she will make sure everything is clean, most of the time she will get new item out of bag/box for you. They do use white powered alogn with so many other colors. You just have to request it. When they are busy they tend to paint or airbrush on the white, but when its slow they don't mind. Just ask, if they don't understand, then be more persistant and tell them to stop until you get what ever you had request-there is always someone who speaks english. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for 7 months and havent ever had a problem. Infact I have always liked the manicures, predicures and eye brow waxing. Then yesterday I went in to get my nails done for my wedding and the guy cut them way short 9 shorter then my natural nail) and refused to take them off and put new acrylic nails on. I was so upset I told him I refused to pay. Which he responded " you have to pay either way no matter if you like it or not." i paid and walked out in tears. Then today I went to another nail salon on vasco and they fixed my nails for FREE. DONT GO TO TONY'S. they dont do a consistant job and arent customer friendly read more

I would give them ZERO stars if possible. Do not expect to be taken in the order you came in. Their regular clients will be taken before you even without an appt. And when asked, they'll say they had an appt. It's insulting and a waste of time. AND they make no apology whatsoever because they're busy and don't need your business unless you want to wait until they are ready to grace you with their presence. this should have a negative star this place is awful I had been going there years ago then found some other nail shop and decided to give tonys another shot. First it took 2 hours to do my nails then it took 3 of them to do my nails they have no idea how to do designs on your nails so they put a cut out design on my nail you know one that you can get at the dollar store. It was awful they are WAY behind on their supplies and designs other nail shops are way up to speed.... I will never go here again read more

Have went in the past for pedicures and manicures becasue it is close to home . Went to get a eyebrow wax was the third time, was not asked anything she just started waxing away instead of just cleaning them up she gave me a new look which I didn't ask for, will never go back read more

Horrible experience here ! My 17 year old daughter got acrylics put on here and in less than 48 hours, 3 nails were already lifting off. She also went with our visiting student here from Australia, and her nails were beginning to lift as well. I went back with my daughter less than 5days after their visit and at first they refused to redo them. Then when I pushed he agreed to having her come back that Sunday to take off and do again ...no charge. She goes back on that Sunday and they want to charge her 20 dollars for new set. She called me and I came down and then the lady said she called her boss and he told her yes do it for free. By that point, they were already charging my visitor another 20 dollars because they said they were lifting and she needed a fill. I told them I didn't want my daughter's nails done there at all and wanted my money back. She said I'd have to come back to talk to the owner. Today I went back and he refused a refund saying how does he know they were lifting and that she wasn't picking them off. He would do it again for half price even though he had already instructed them to do it for free the previous day, Obviouslyy customer service and satisfaction is not important to them. There are so many other great salons in Livermore that I would not recommend anyone go there....EVER!!!!! Tony has lost this customer and anyone else that asks for suggestions from me will tell them to never go there..... read more

I went to both locations, Holmes Street twice and the other once. The first visit at Holmes Street was OK. The Second the Parlor had dirt in the corners and I had to ask for the blue disenfectant for my pedicure. The fill was okay but the girls are definately not friendly. At the Portola & Livermore Ave shop was horrible. When she filled the basin for my pedicure there was skin floating in it from the last customer. I got a horrified look on my face and asked about it. The boss came over and said it was from my feet. They emptied it and refilled it without washing the bow. Then I had to once again ask for disenfectant. The three customers next to me did not get any. The girl who did my feet did a good massage. the fill on my nails started out good but I ended up with ridges on the sides of 5 nails that I had to file down myself at home. Dirty, dirty, dirty, the health department should shut them down. read more

I should have read the YELP reviews before I went in. I'm new to the Livermore area Via Fremont. I LOVE my nail place there but am growing tired of driving out there every two weeks. Tony's is close to my new house so I figured I would give it a try. I was headed to Vegas that weekend. I called in to make an appointment and was told a fill would be $25. After I came in and three different people worked on me (so much for person-ability and relaxation) I was charged almost double that. I still left a tip because I was hoping to return and maybe ask for ONE person or find a worker I could enjoy. The second time I used their services was to get eyelash extensions a few days later. Only problem this time... they DOUBLE BOOKED the time for my Apt. they asked me to wait 20 mins AFTER the time I had booked and took another customer FIRST. The woman (Im sorry I dont remember her name.) who applied them was GREAT! She talked to me and reassured me they would be OK for my trip. (I have never done this before) She went over the "Do's and Dont's" and told me the lashes would fall off in 7-10 days. They DIDN'T! so after two weeks I made an apt. to get them removed. When I showed up to the Portola location the ladies informed me that I did not have an apt. on their books and must have called the OTHER LOCATION with the salon of the same name in the same town. My patience was gone, I had had it. I just turned around and left. I called the CORRECT location a few days later and made ANOTHER (This has now been almost 3 weeks since I had the eyelashes put on and they were patchy and starting to irritate my eyes. I did not want to remove them myself.) I went in at the allotted time for my second appointment attempt and the lady who had applied them wasnt there.. it was the owner lady. She was rough, cold, rude and disrespectful. The removal was painful and she left me in a room with no explanation of the procedure, which was kinda scary seeing as though she put cotton balls in my eyes, filled the cotton balls with a liquid that stung my eyes and LEFT. So there I was in the dark, eyes closed hoping she didnt forget about me. The owner lady is a real B!tch. When I cried out for help she basically came into the room and told me to go home and take a hot shower and maybe the eyelashes would come off.. IN THREE WEEKS YOU DONT THINK I TRIED THAT?!?!? She was SO unbelievably rude. I cannot believe I PAID her to do this to me. I will NEVER return to this "salon" ever again. I gave them MORE than one chance to keep my business. I would MUCH rather drive from Livermore to Fremont than to EVER be subjected to this place again. I suggest you look elsewhere. I have been a loyal customer of this establishment since they opened. Manicures, pedicures and waxing. They know me and that I tip really well. I went in for a pedicure and saw they were doing some really cool stuff with glue tape. I didn't have time for a new set of gel so I asked can you put it over the clear I have on now and they said yes. It turned out HORRIBLE!! You could see lines in, looked like a kid did it. The owner walked over and said "it's because you wanted it over clear". I stated I asked if it could be put over clear? Had you told me it would like like this I would have come back. First off, don't make it the customers fault you did a bad job. Secondly, don't charge me for something I had to go home and remove, especially when you know I will be back next week. After calling for an appointment and speaking to the owner's wife Stephanie I made an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. I was told yes my regular girl Thao could do my appointment. They have me split my appointments before which is ridiculous and there was no reason other than they were mad about the first review. When I got to the salon I was told she couldn't do both. She is the only one who speaks good English, other than the owners, that knows what she's doing. The others don't speak English very well. I didn't understand how I could be speaking with the owner's wife who is the manager and she makes mistakes on the appointments. Then she starts yelling at me I'm sorry I'm sorry screaming at me in the salon it was extremely embarrassing and it was her fault. After a bad experience at a different nail place in town (with a great yelp rating), my wife went here for a pedicure, and had a great experience! The people were welcoming and friendly and the pedicure was very relaxing. The nails ended up looking great. My wife will continue going here for all nail services in the future and we will be recommending this place to friends. read more

I honestly am surprised theres not any bad reviews.. I've only been here twice and the first time was fine, I was happy with my nails and the service. Until I went the next time is when I realized I didnt want to go again. My sister and I got the same exact set, & were still charged differently. The sets also were just fills from the last time we had gone, a price posted to be $23 & up. I was charged $40. Thats $5 more than I was charged the last time for a full set, and it was only a fill! We waited upwards to 2 hours, and were serviced after people who seemingly didnt have appointments. Not coming again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I had THE WORST time here. I got the male nail artist. I asked for a full set of acrylic with gel. The menu said it would be 30$. I showed him a reference picture and I made it clear wanted almond shaped nails. When he asked how short I wanted them I indicated and said like the picture. He cut them too short and on top of that he filed them down far too short. When it came time to pay I made it obvious I was displeased. The owner then charged me 38$ and when I added that the menu said 30 she claimed that it was the price only for "clear gel". I am very disappointed and feel as if I have wasted my money. read more

Good set of pink & whites but my clear coat started pealing off right away (which I have never had this happen anywhere else before) and I can usually go 4 weeks before getting fills, if the work is quality, but here I needed to go back after 2, so I will continue my hunt for the best! I have gone to Tony's Nails (most all locations) for over 10 years. I am a face that the Holmes location knows. I went today and got a Manicure and Pedicure and saw the wall had a sign that said $15.00 extra for 15 minute massage (head, neck and shoulders) OR (hands and feet.) I chose the feet and hands since they were already working on those areas. I go to pay and they say $63.00. I asked why and they said because my massage was 30$. I explained to Tony that the sign clearly says head, neck and shoulders OR feet and hands. He insisted that it was 15$ for the feet and $15 for the hands. I objected repeatedly. Tony would not cooperate and just lost a long term customer, over $15.00. I paid the $30.00 in addition to $33 for my mani-pedi, but left no tip because of this lousy customer service. Not to mention their crap talking in Vietnamese. I'll never go back and I warn anyone to stay away from that loophole! read more

Tonys nail spa is by far the worst spa i have gone to. I had gone there because it was cheap for mani pedis. But definently not worth it. When days are busy they have nobody there and the not busy times of day the staff hangs around and watches tv. I came in one day about lunch and wanted a pedicure. They were all still watching tv when finally one girl came to assist me. She tried to finish as fast as she could so she could go back to watching tv with her staff. But the thing that made me furious was when my friend and I made an appointment with them after school ( I was in middle school at the time) So we came in at the time they told us and they were busy. We told them we had an appointment and then said sit down. So we sat patienty For about 45 minutes until the staff member was done. (Note: There was only 2 staff members working the rest were watching television) Then another woman comes in right after they finished. I was guessing she was a regular so she started chatting and they took her instead of us. Even though she did not have an appointment. I went to the manager and complained to him that we had been waiting there for an hour. He was very rude to me and said that i would just have to wait she was more important.
