Amy was very kind and extremely sarcastic just like me. Her and I were bantering back and forth. It was very refreshing to find a technician who was willing to banter back and forth. She had been doing nails for 20 years now. If you go to this salon, ask for her, she was AMAZING!! The reason for the 4 star instead of the 5 star: I was saddened to learn that for the feet, there were not individual bags put in the tub. Honestly, not having that is a high chance of infections, even if they did scrub it prior. I believe it is a safety hazard. Had it not been for that, I would have given 5 stars. But she did a good job on my toes. I asked for a specific color and she suggested putting a base color underneath and she asked what I might want; and I didn't think about that, so I said whatever color she thought best. I'm very pleased and happy with her professionalism. I looked through the books they gave us and I couldn't decide between 2 colors on my hands. I asked Amy which color she thought was best; because I couldn't figure it out. And she suggested using both of them but making one of the colors on the ring finger. I said that that sounded great! We talked back and forth and she mentioned that most of her clients hardly talk; so she felt it was refreshing to find someone who was nice and spoke to her, and was very sarcastic. Lol. PEDICURE NIGHTMARE! Callus remover not applied correctly and burned my foot. Never been here before & never will again. Why? when I told them the underside of my foot was burning all she said (don't know name) was " I not do that ". Obviously she saw what was going on at the arch of my foot. She had pumiced it, used callus remover. She told me to put foot in the water as will "feel better", felt SOOO MUCH worse. She spoke vietnamese to the others and all I heard /understood was the word "burn" and she said it several times, never making eye contact with me. It hurt so bad I felt like I was going to jump up into the ceiling. She then sprayed ALCOHOL of all things on the area OOOOUUUUCCCHHH! Can you imagine the burning sensation at that point?! They took no credit for this. I'm a healthy person and nothing was wrong with my feet when I went in. They asked if I had cash to pay and said next time you pay cash. Are you kidding me? 2 days later, no improvement, it was oozing and hurt like you know what to walk so I went to Urgent Care & now I'm on day 6 of strong antibiotics... My mother was in for a week of vacation and needless to say killed our plans. If I could give 0/no stars I would. Unprofessional and impersonal. read more

I had a gift certificate and my toes were a mess, so decided to try this place despite the 2.5 star rating. I typically avoid pedicures because technicians usually don't know what to do with my problematic toe nails. Nancy at T & T 2 knew exactly what to do! I keep looking at my toes and feet because I'm not sure if they've ever looked this good. I did a longer pedi that had a massage, a sugar scrub and a parrafin treatment--it was incredibly relaxing and never painful. Perfect treat for myself at the end of a long work week. Major Rant for Tips and Toes 2!!! I really hate to bring any shade to businesses in general but this rant is absolutely warranted and frankly I want to shed some light and bring some attention here. Maybe in doing so, the business will change their ways, take some accountability and see what they did was wrong, and also so that other people know what happened. My 17 year old daughter and I wanted to get a little pampered today. She had some graduation money and wanted to get her nails done, she had previously gone to Tips and Toes 2 for her senior ball nails and they did a beautiful job, so when it was time for a fill she realized being as active as she is she needed them shorter. The gal suggested taking her nails off and to do a completely new set to make them shorter, my daughter was fine with this and she figured that would need to happen due to the shape etc. daughter showed her an exact picture of how she wanted them and the length etc, daughter was very specific. Mind you I started my pedicure at the same time, daughter was done before me and nails were nothing like the picture or what she asked for and wanted. They were super thick, gloppy and frankly looked like they needed a fill already. Don't get me started on the stars painted on that looked like Patrick from Spongebob instead of actual stars. We waited patiently to speak to "Vivian" (the gal that did the nails) as she was working with someone new now, once we had our chance to speak to her we were both very kind and quiet and asked for assistance and suggestions as they were not what daughter wanted. Solution was for her to grab daughters hand and start shaping them with emory board in front of other client, asking if that's better? No actually it isn't and we were very kind, quiet and specific again with our dissatisfaction. She then asked for daughter to sit down and started aggressively filing them again asking if that is better. We said No because they weren't. We asked what solutions she had, she said do you want me to re do them? We said yes please that would be great. She said ok I will do after this client, no problem. 5 minutes later she asked if we could come back later or another day, unfortunately we could not. She then said you will need to come back another day, then makes the biggest mistake and easy way out for nail salons by saying "you always come in here and complain" I said, "no we aren't going to play that card as I have never stepped foot in here before in my life" which I hadn't, she then tried to place the blame on daughter and I absolutely shut that down by saying "you will not play the blame game with her either as she was very specific and showed you pictures as well" then I said "my daughter had been in here twice before and loved her nails but this time not so much and we are asking you to make this right for her by either re doing them or giving her money back" she said "fine I re do them sit down" so my daughter sat down. Vivian grabbed both of her hands so aggressively I almost wanted to choke her but I kept composed. She cut my daughters own nail up really high on one side and it hurt her, daughter didn't wince, she then discarded her hands and says "I give you money back and you can go somewhere else" We we're absolutely shocked and horrified by this treatment! If you go to this salon I really hope you are treated well and if you ever have a problem I hope they take care of you, if you don't go to this salon I would absolutely avoid it. The worst experience ever and horrible customer service! I feel as though they took advantage of my daughter and really just wanted to get her in and out, she was done almost 7-10 minutes before my 25 minute pedicure was even done! Shame on you Tips and Toes 2! WORST full set acrylics I've had in 8 years.... SEE PICS. Manicurist was rough, made me bleed, and unpleasant. Pedicure was lackluster for my upgraded choice... polish isn't even covering my toe nails. During my appointment I tried to ask the lady to fix the shape on my nails multiple times and they get worse after each time... I called back after I left and whoever I spoke to on the phone said she would try to fix them.. she never said sorry. The "redo appointment" was 5 days later... so I decided just to deal with it and not go back and have them all gossip about me while I sit there. NEVER RETURNING. read more

I came in for the first time today to Tips and Toes 2. Just to clarify, Tips and Toes down the street has a different owner than this one. In general, I have been getting my nails done for 30 years and have never left a bad review ever, but this experience merited a shout out. I went to Tips and Toes down the street and had a wonderful experience previously. Today they were busy and I couldn't get an appointment, so I thought I'd try #2, thinking it was the same salon but different location. I was seen today by Tiffany at Tips and Toes 2 and had the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon before. Tiffany was extremely rude and didn't seem to want to cater to the customer's wants for how to have their nails done, and I'm not that picky. Her way or the highway attitude. Examples: She wanted to file my nails instead of trim. When I asked her to trim just a tiny bit she seemed irritated and trimmed so short that it hurts. She would paint a nail, and when done, she'd shove my hand away roughly. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and there was a simple heart, one on each hand. She insisted that they can't do design unless I get gel. I asked to pay before she painted my nails and she would not. So then when she got done painting she left me sitting in the chair with no fan for drying and was heading to see the next customer. I said, excuse me, can I please pay? To that she acted irritated and took my card to run it at the front. From the front desk (I was seated at the back) she yelled across the entire room asking how much tip I wanted to add, instead of walking over to ask. So I had to yell back and clarify because I couldn't really hear her. Lol. It was seriously so terrible. I will not be going back there. I know this sounds ridiculous, but all of that actually happened! The other ladies working there seemed nice, except that they joined into Tiffany's talking about me in Vietnamese. If you try this salon out, I would recommend Vivian (who did my daughter's nails nicely) but not Tiffany. Personally, I won't be giving them my business again read more

I think they have a major issue with the lighting there. This is my second time coming and the color always ends up different than the one selected. The first color I selected ended up looking terrible and nothing like the swatch, they switched it to a better color but it still wasn't correct. So the other T&T had so much business that the owners opened a second shop half a block away. Wow. People in Livermore really like their mani's and pedi's. The difference between the two is negligible. The newer one is well...newer. I like the decor and the furnishings better. It seems like it is less crowded in both people and stuff. Plus everyone is still going to their favorite person down the street so it is easy to get an appt. or walk-in. Here's a 'Tip' for you though. If one shop gets too busy they may call the other one and have then come to help. Aside from the decor the other thing to note is this place might just be a little more, as in a couple bucks, costly. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! I took my MIL, who is in a wheelchair, to have her nails and toenails cut. This nail salon refused to cut her nails unless she was able to get into the salon chair. She can barely transfer to the wheelchair let alone get into the high salon chair. Disabled citizens are protected by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). This law specifically states that all businesses must provide access and accommodations for all disabled customers regardless of size of business!! SHAME ON YOU Tips and Toes 2!! It seemed clear that they preferred a job that was higher paying??
