Greeted at bar (without eye contact) with "you'll just have to wait". Then two sets of people walking up to bar after us got served. Person finally asked what we wanted to drink - didn't have ingredients to make a common drink. Went back to hostess stand to wait for a table rather than continue with the over stressed bartender. Much shorter time than told to get a table. A plus! Waitress new and unfamiliar with menu and admitted before we left, new to Italian food. There was more that went wrong but being new I have to give her a pass. But, as far as kitchen goes, I ordered veal piccata. What I got was veal (excellent veal) with mushrooms and capers in light brown sauce. It was good, just not classic piccata sauce w/lemon/butter/wine. Caprese appetizer excellent. Shrimp FraDiavolo was excellent, perfect amount of spice. Advice- order from the menu parts that spell out what is in the dish - I ordered from the "pick one" section where you choose meat/ pasta/ sauce separately. And one last note- ladies bathroom is an embarrassment, needs repair/renovation.

Hickory location Food great - Customer service and desire to please-HORRIBLE. I am a 3 year faithful customer who ordered 2 large pies for pick up, called back to add a topping to one pizza and was told by dark hair man who makes the pizza..."The pizzas already in the box. Im not taking it out to add a topping".....NICE HUH? He would NOT even sell me the topping on the side. I dont know about everyone else, but I will continue to go to a restuarant with decent food if the customer service is excellent, but I will turn down a restaurant with excellent food if the customer service is RUDE. I may or may not return, but if I do, I will make sure not to make things TOO difficult and / or confusing so that pizza man can make what I order. read more
