I was contacted a short time later that someone would be out between noon and 4. Relieved, I got back to work. It was close to 3 when the nice young man arrived. I let him in and ge went right to work. Less than 30 minutes later, he'd cleaned out and tightened everything that caused the issue. The cost was $120. The receptionist today was very good, she is professional and competent. But yesterday when i scheduled a maintenance appointment the young man was difficult to communicate with, i think he might have been stoned? and he put the right time in the notes, but the wrong time in the scheduling software and now, getting it corrected is a day long task. i have never been able to get a technician on the phone. i guess they are too expensive, so the only way to talk to a knowledgeable person is to schedule an appointment, which apparently is a super human task. 2021 - We contracted a relatively large project. McQuillan installed a Mitsubishi Split-HVAC. They did good work and were accommodating to our needs. It was more difficult than most because siding was going up the same summer so McQuillan had to juggle some schedule, which they did generously. We had one hitch with using system early on and throwing it into conflict. Bad engineering on Mitsubishi's part, but it may be common for these split systems. Anyway, it was a minor glitch and we figured it out. McQuillan did well.

In the club brochure I am, as a member entitled to a water heater flush every year. The brochure I have says nothing about an on demand heater being an extra charge for the flush. Today I was charged 1/2 price for flushing my on demand water heater which they installed around 2022. The total cost? $183. I think this is exorbitant. The Home Care Club as I see it now is only an upsell program. I need a new garbage disposal installed. The estimate for that work? $1200+ If you buy your disposal from a big box store the cost is $150 for the 1/2 hp disposal and $200 - $300 for their professional installers.

When the weather warmed I wasn't entirely satisfied with the cooling aspect. The smart thermostat is complicated and doesn't come with a manual. When I reached out, they scheduled a service call combined with final inspection. The tech was great, made necessary adjustments to the coolant and fan. Equally important- he took the time to go through the features of the thermostat that I didn't understand before. Between the adjustments and new knowledge, I was cool and comfortable in no time. The tech was great at explaining how the system works, and even said we could call him directly with subsequent questions. I would absolutely recommend Standard.
