Today, they lost me as a loyal customer over a $3 button. Yes, you read that correctly: a BUTTON. Insane. I brought a coat over that was new with tags to get cleaned as I had thrifted it. The lady behind the counter pointed out that the buttons were a bit loose. I said that was fine and to take care while cleaning it. Nothing needed to be repaired. The coat was supposed to be this way. I pick up my order a couple days later and when I get home, I see that one of the coat buttons had been pinned on. I was not made aware of this when I picked up the coat, which was very dishonest on their part. The least they could have done was APOLOGIZE and point out that when they cleaned it that this happened. The right thing would have been if they repaired the button for me and sewed it back on since this was their doing. I gave them a call the next day and instead of owning up, they were nasty and kept repeating, "well we told you the button was loose." I told them that is beside the point. I said the bottom line is, you're either going to sew it back on for me at no charge or you're going to lose me as a customer. And they told me I had to pay $3 to have them sew on the button LOL I let them know they lost me as a customer and hung up. I would avoid this place at all costs.

I asked him to resole (not clean/polish) a pair of Golden Goose sneakers which are meant to look scuffed/beaten up and he chose to load them up with white shoe polish when he wasn't asked to clean them. When I pushed back and asked him to remove the polish he angrily did so and then threw them on the counter as if I was the problem. To be fair, he replaced a zipper on a piece of luggage and did a fine job but his work on shoes is terrible. I'm one to always support local small businesses but I think Croton and the surrounding area would be better off without this disaster that has an attitude to match.

I had an accident a few months ago when an unexpected gale force wind threw me 15 feet from the sidewalk into the street and into the path of oncoming rush-hour traffic.
