I came here to fix the strips that line the heels of my favorite booties. I thought it would be a cheap fix and the price quoted was higher than I was expecting but the owner took the time to show me that they were individual leather strips that would be glued in place. I realized it was more work than I imagined. Then I started looking around the shop and saw all the different types of things he repairs and so I felt confident that I wasn't being ripped off. My shoes were ready in less than a week and they looked great. He took the time to show me some of his work on bags and other shoes and I will definitely be back. Low quality products! I had the rubber heel of my dress shoe's replaced at a cost of $25. The density of the rubber was of the lowest grade and was worn away in record time. While I value small businesses, I don't have patience for small businesses that charge a premium and provide sub-standard services. read more

I have brought shoes here before several times for repair and have been happy. Recently I brought in a pair of boots for heel repair. Was told they would have to replace the heels. I was fine with that. However, when I got them home, upon closer inspection I realized the heels were not replaced, but patched and then polished over the patch. Not cool. Worst shoe repair place i've ever been to. Brought a pair of very expensive men's shoes for new soles & heels. They glued on new ones. Glue kept coming off. I paid $50 for the repair, brought back the shoes 3 times because they promised to do a better job. After the third time, I asked for my money back. They refused to refund me. I complained to consumer affairs, and still nothing. I am now telling you all out there, don't waste your time with this place. they don't know what they're doing. read more

I've had a pair of Continental Tyrolean hiking boots for more than 35 years. They've never fit properly, but look good, and I've always thought that if I could somehow stretch them, they'd be perfect. They're soft on the inside. However, outside, they're rather tough, and have always given me blisters because they're a half size too short and a half-size too narrow. I went to Master Shoe Rebuilders after trying to get them stretched at several repair shops... Each one had turned me down despite my pleas. When I went in to Master's, the proprietor indicated that indeed, he might not be able to stretch them enough, but was willing to try. I've been there several times now. Each time, the boots have become more comfortable. It's been weeks now, and still he hasn't given up, and only wants to charge me $5! I insist on paying more. Writing this review is the least I can do to begin to show my appreciation for their effort and willingness!! read more
