Gonna give this a solid 4. Just had dinner here this evening, took advantage of the $5 off coupon and got myself a 3-Taco meal with a side of rice and black beans and a watermelon juice. I like that the kiosk and app let's you customize the ingredients to your preference. 1. Chicken Mango Jalapeno: my favorite of the three. Well-seasoned shredded chicken, sweet and spice. Really can't go wrong with this combo. 2. Spicy Chicken: subbed shredded chicken on this one. Also good flavor, but not better than the CMJ. Also, pretty watery, maybe from the marinating meat or the tomatoes. Made the taco really soft. 3. Cod Club: surprisingly this wound up being my least favorite, which is surprising because fish tacos are my favorite food group. Fish was fried too long, very crunchy exterior and tougher than it should have been on the inside. Also a bit fishier than I would have liked. Wound up taking a piece of fish off and just ate the taco with the toppings. Watermelon juice was amazing and just fresh watermelon juice. Service was really friendly and helpful with the kiosk and explaining the menu. They also do samples of the different juices if you want to try them! I'll definitely be back for the CMJ tank, not sure I'm brave enough to try the savory/meal ones just yet, lmao.

We walked up to a casual, convenient setup with ordering kiosks and a quick pickup-style format that works well for a fast meal. The concept is simple, focusing on Mexican street-style birria with tacos, mulitas, and other dishes built around slow-cooked meat and flavorful consommé. The food court setting means seating is shared, and the atmosphere depends more on the mall environment than the restaurant itself, making it a practical stop for a quick meal while exploring the area. The main highlight is the birria tacos, which come packed with flavorful meat and pair especially well with the consommé for dipping. We ordered a few and found the consommé to be the standout item, with a rich, savory flavor that added a lot to the tacos. The tacos are on the smaller side, so ordering multiple is the better way to fully enjoy the meal, and the mulita and other menu options are also good choices if you want something more filling. The quality of the food is what makes Birria Landia stand out. The flavors are bold, the meat is well seasoned, and the combination of crispy tortillas with the juicy birria creates the kind of texture that makes the dish enjoyable. The main downside is the pricing, especially compared to the original food truck experience. Being inside a mall location makes it feel more expensive than what you might expect for street-style tacos, and the value feels less competitive given the portion size. The ordering process is simple and efficient, with the food coming out relatively quickly. The staff handled the flow well, and the kiosk system made it easy to customize orders without holding up the line. Since it is located inside a food court, seating is shared, so it can get busy during peak hours, but it works well for grabbing a quick meal while exploring the area. Birria Landia is a solid spot for birria tacos, especially if you are looking for a flavorful and casual meal. The consommé and taco combination is the reason to visit, and while the prices are higher than a traditional street setup, the quality of the food makes it worth trying. It offers a dependable, quick birria fix in a convenient location, even if the mall setting takes away some of the street food charm.

Surprisingly, it is a dish that is hard to find in the Flushing/Fresh Meadows area especially in a sit down, comfortable restaurant. The Chilaquiles was a nice little plate of deliciousness - I loved the tangy green salsa soaked bed of tortilla with nicely fried over easy eggs (they way I ordered it). A fan of avocado, tomato and onions top the dish as well - it comes with a side of rice and beans. I recently returned when I was in the mood for enchiladas - they have combo option with beef, chicken and cheese. I ordered them divorced style with both red and green salsa. It comes blanketed with a shredded lettuce salad with tomato, onions and avocado. Rice and beans round out the dish. A couple of other dishes I tasted were the eggs with chorizo and the chimichanga - both were very good. I love their house salsas both a dark red and green one. They bring out tortilla chips with a thick salsa that is tomato-ey sweet. They have a full bar if you are so inclined and the service is very good here.

Not fluent in English, but very friendly service. They have an extensive menu! They give complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is a sweet tomato-y salsa and the chips are crisp. The Chimichanga with Cecina (Salted Beef) was stuffed! Crisp fried exterior, covered in flavorful red (tomato-y) and green (herb-y) sauces. The cecina is perfectly salted. I enjoyed the guac and chips (same as the complimentary chips) and pico on the side added freshness. They also have a house red and green sauce, which have a good kick and flavor to them. The Pineapple Juice is the right amount of sweetness and tart. I like that there's no ice so it's a full glass of juice! Overall a neat local spot to hit up for good food and friendly service (and a full bar!).

It clearly worked: they've since grown to nine locations around Manhattan, and this Times Square outpost took over a corner of the old New York Times building back in 2017. The no-seating, standing-room setup is baked into the concept itself, not just this location. I don't love the location though, it's on a busy street in a very touristy area, which tracks, since that's exactly what it was built for. And yes, I was being a tour guide, taking friends and family to Times Square for what felt like the 80th time. At least the tacos make the trip worth it.

We visited on a Sunday around 6 p.m. It was busy, though not packed, and it seemed like they may have been a bit understaffed. Be prepared to wait--our food took about 15-18 minutes to come out. My frozen margarita arrived first, and it ended up being the highlight of my meal. It was strong, had a delicious seasoned rim, and I even got to keep the cup. For food, I ordered the birria taco with consommé and an al pastor taco. The tortillas were a bit dry, and while the meat was decent, it didn't justify the price. The birria taco was about $6.50 and the al pastor was $5.50, which felt a little expensive for what we received. My fiancé ordered the carne asada, shrimp, and fish tacos. He was expecting slices of skirt steak for the carne asada but instead received chopped beef, and the quality wasn't what he was hoping for. The fish taco was also a bit soggy. The creamy green salsa was excellent and easily one of the best things we tried. Between that, the margarita, and the restaurant's atmosphere, there were definitely some highlights. Overall, it was a decent experience, but we left expecting more. Considering the prices, there are other taco spots in New York that offer fresher tortillas, better-quality meat, and faster service. I'd come back for the margarita.
