My friend and I checked into a spot for dessert and this restaurant popped up as somewhere to try. We walked over after dessert. The pictures caught our attention. I got the Italian themed birria tacos and I was happy I could substitute and have it with shredded chicken instead of beef. It was so good. Juicy and flavorful. Only thing I didn't care for was the dipping sauce. It wasn't consumé, but a tomato sauce. It was too overpowering for me, so I ate the tacos by themselves. They were some pretty hefty tacos. I couldn't eat all three. The restaurant also had buy one get one free margaritas that day as well, so we took advantage of that. Also if you download their app, you get a free taco. We took advantage of that too! I got the shrimp and mango taco. It was good and the shrimp were a really nice size, not skimpy. Servers were really nice. Both tacos we tried are not as good as expected, the short ribs is in pulled pork texture, the sauce is overpowering, basil is a nice touch though. Fish taco has a surcharge but tasted like frozen fish, not worth it. Churro is warm and crispy, tasted good with or without Nutella. The store has both indoor and outdoor seatings, restroom is clean. 5 stars is purely for the churros! I randomly catch the sign that says, "Have you tried one of Tony's CHURROS?!" on the side wall of Tony's Tacos while stepping out of Starbucks across the street. I just had to try churros stuffed with dulce de leche and served with a side of Nutella. I love dulce de leche, and when it's combined with churros, it's heaven! It is crunchy, warm with dulce de leche oozing out in the middle. You really don't need the nutella, but it does add a nice chocolatey and nutty taste. I haven't had the chance to come back and try the tacos, but I heard great things! A small shop on the corner and the guys at the shop are super friendly and nice. read more

Small place in the middle of downtown Huntington with both some indoor and more outdoor seating. The staff members were all super friendly, my tacos came out fast. The menu is divided by different meats/vegetarian options prepared in unconventional ways with interesting twists. I recommend familiarizing yourself with their extensive taco menu online first to make sure you get exactly what you want. I've been coming here since they opened, and can vouch for Tony's Tacos as one of the best places to eat in Huntington. Of course they're far from authentic, but who cares! The creativity and versatility that they bring to the humble taco is exactly what sets them apart from every other generic Tex mex restaurant in the area, and what keeps me coming back for more. My all time favorite taco is the short rib Peter Luger taco with creamy mashed potatoes, but very very close runners up are the piggy pork and cod club taco (great in the summertime with one of their frozen margs). The pollo supreme is solid too. I haven't had any of their appetizers since the three taco meal is pretty filling, but I'm really eager to try the octopus paella fries. And as for desserts, their dulce de leche stuffed churros are fantastic!! Not only does Tony's have amazing food, but also they manage to keep the place spotless despite massive foot traffic and messy food, and they provide ample seating despite the limitations of such a small corner establishment. The staff are really friendly- always wishing everyone well and really taking an interest in how people are enjoying the food. This kind of service is going above and beyond for such a small, casual place, and it really makes a difference! All in all, Tony's deserves all five stars on all accounts. Over the years I've had many tacos at many different places. As expected there are good and bad places. I really haven't had a place that has surprised me. Until getting take out from Tony's. Let's begin with important fact 1: don't order through 3rd party site, prices are drastically higher. That aside this whole idea of an Italian taco fusion thing had me skeptical. Biting into the taco I had no idea what to expect and was thoroughly surprised! Of course had to get the birria tacos. Excellent combination of meat and toppings and comes with some marinara sauce mix thing. I mean simply wow. Such a twist that you have no idea what this is going to taste like until you bite into it. Octopus and chorizo potatoes. Now octopus is easy to overcook and make rubbery. Yet they nailed it! Octopus was excellent and the chorizo on point. Fries dang good as well. Elote corn is worth noting as a delicious starter as well. Only taco that did disappoint was one with mango. But otherwise all else was excellent. Certainly going back for more read more

Yes, please!!!!My favorite is the Smoked Salmon taco, everything you enjoy about the Brunch dish in a taco! The Street Corn is packed with flavor, and covered with a creamy delicious sauce...already missing it! By the way, I highly recommend trying one of their margaritas (they are not light!) The Churro (filled with Dulce de Leche) is the perfect ending (and it comes with Nutella for dipping). In the winter they had a Spiked hot chocolate that comes with the churro...I hope they bring it back! Don't feel overwhelmed, they have different categories to narrow down what you're craving. For example, I was feeling seafood, so I went to the seafood section (easy enough, lol) It is small inside, so it can get packed easy. Since opening in late 2021, Tony's Tacos has become a fixture in Huntington's takeout dining scene and a place I treasure for their imaginative and delicious Mexican-Italian fusion food. At first glance, the tacos can seem strange but I can attest that each and every single offering is amazing. Fresh, well-spiced and creative, with such a big variety to choose from in beef, pork, fish, shrimp and veggies. The menu seems to change often. Two of my very favorite tacos are the Piggy Shrimp (grilled jumbo shrimp, crumbled sausage, melted cheese, caramelized onion, cherry peppers) and Bolognese (ground beef, caramelized onions, melted cheese, red peppers, mushrooms, jalapeno), though I don't think either of them are still on the menu. Some of my other yummy faves: Short Rib Peter Luger, Alla Giovanni, Mango & Jalapeno Chicken, Beans & Brussels, Crunchy Cauliflower, Baccala, Chorizo & Peppers etc. On my last visit, I tried the new salcipappa quesadilla (chorizo and potato) which was AWESOME. I went with the Short Rib Peter Luger which was tender and very tasty, the Shrimp and mango which was just the right combination of spicy and sweet, and the Piggy Pork which was absolutely delicious. We also shared a chicken parm quesadilla which was very good. The food was very fresh and the Italian-Mexican pairing made for an interesting twist on the traditional tacos. High marks for presentation, service and cleanliness. Five stars for the $4 margaritas before 5pm! Incredible deal on delicious, boozy margs. We picked these up on a hot day walking around Huntington and could hardly believe the bill - cheap, lots of flavors, in a to-go cup? Tony knows what's up. Ok real talk, I went back for round two and made it spicy for a $1 more - they mash up fresh jalapenos and basically fire bomb your drink.
