Five star for the taste of these tacos. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food because I come from CA where we have the best. I saw the large white truck outside the corner grocery gas mart and swooped in to try it on a whim. I ordered 3 tacos: asada, pollo and carnitas. Delicious!!!! I thought I died and woke up in Central Ca. Highly recommend. (This high of a compliment from me for a taco truck in WA is very rare) Clearly, I highly recommend. I can't wait to go back! I want to also mention. I witnessed the owner paying a homeless man for helping keep his outside space clean and swept. He paid him cash and a plate of food. I've heard lots of good things about Tony's Tacos and was stoked to try them out recently. We had plans for dinner to order delivery and I wanted tacos, so this was the perfect excuse! My husband and I both got the birria tacos with consome, a side of rice and beans, and guacamole. Everything was packaged up well and was still warm considering it's kind of far from us. Only bummer was that they didn't send along our side of chips & guac. :( The tacos themselves are pretty dang big, and with us each getting two, it was a lot of food. Overall I thought they were really good, but the downside was that we got a lottt of fatty, squishy meat in our tacos which really grosses me out. The parts that weren't super fatty were delicious though!! The consomé was also absolutely fire and I definitely straight up just drank some of it - zero shame. Rice and beans were tasty, but that's hard to mess up. We also really enjoyed the salsas they provided - they both had a good kick that wasn't painful and the flavor was on point. We have been hearing great things about this place So we thought we'd drive 30 mins to try it out. First off the place was really busy which was a good sign. For how busy it was we were still able to order quickly and the food really didn't take all that long. The food was amazing and worth the wait. We wanted to try things we haven't had before. Its been hard trying to find another good taco spot and this place definitely hit the mark! Visited with my SIL and the place was packed on a Friday afternoon. They have seating inside the school bus and outside. Most people chose to eat outside since it was warm and shaded. There is limited seating inside, one on each side with chairs available if you need to add more beside you. I ordered 2 Quesa Birria Tacos. It comes with a drink and two sauces besides the main sauce it comes with. They pack it in a to go box but you can definitely it it there. The two tacos were enough for me. My SIL ordered a Taco Plate. Pollo, Al Pastor, and Carnitas are your options. Asada or Birria Taco plate is an extra $0.50. She absolutely loved each bite and it was enough fot her. It's a small operation so most of them will be making the food right in front of you, and the food usually comes out quick if it's not too packed. I believe you can also order online ahead for pickup. --Food: The menu is surprisingly large with great weekday specials (Mulita Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wet Burrito Wednesdays, etc.). Portion sizes are generous, I never felt skimped out for what I paid. --Favorite Items: Birria Tacos: Flavorful as expected, won't break the bank especially if you come during taco Tuesdays -Burritos: Any meat, personally I get the carne asada. They are located just behind a 76 gas station and they have around 11 parking stalls. The restaurant is located in a 40-fat bus that was modified to allow for cooking and dining options. Found this place by accident as I was in the area and noticed a pretty long line and read some decent reviews. It was about 40 minutes for me to order and get my food, which I find to be pretty long for a Mexican place. The decor is pretty interesting as the restaurant is an old bus with outside seating. You can get Mexican food here along with pizzas, and I noticed a lot of pizza orders going out, which was a surprise to me. Got a birria taco, carne asada taco, and Al Pastor taco. The birria taco was decent and worth getting. Carne asada was unbelievably mediocre. The Al Pastor was not the best and was missing an oomph. It was quite expensive for a Mexican place. A fantastic authentic Mexican spot in Puyallup! I ordered the chicken street tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. Their Mexican pizza seemed to be a crowd favorite -- so many people were ordering it, and it looked amazing. Definitely on my list to try next time we're in the area. This place was super busy for a Thursday! The parking situation can get a little sketchy with people parking diagonally, but that's not their fault. The torta was fine, not a lot of meat but not bad. The issue was this we watched someone who was working in the back come out with gloves on, grab a cart, go to the storage area near the gas station, come back, and go back inside without changing gloves. That's when we saw the "okay" health inspection posted on the side of the bus. We are so thankful that we still get to enjoy Tony's dad's food- now from his son (Tony.) It's not the exact same- not that it should be- and we love it. We used to go to his dad's Taco Bus, then to his dad's restaurant, and we miss both so much.
