I really like this place - one of my favorite stops for food! The options are good, and portions a reasonable. I like the salsa bar options, especially the carrots and radishes. The parking lot is a bit tight with limited spots, and can be tricky due to the number of people there - but it still works. Sometimes when arriving for a pickup order, there's no one available to give the order, so you have to wait in the main line to ask for it. This is my second time in two days to come back and get the Best Breakfast Burrito I have found in the surrounding communities. I am from SoCal and they have more Mexican Food places than Seattle has Starbucks so when you can get a large, tasty, Breakfast Burrito and they modified it with no meat and with egg whites I was smitten. And then I went to the salsa bar it got even better. They had a Pico de gallo that was the best. So fresh, light on tomato, almost salad like. While waiting I admired how clean the tables, chairs and floors were as the tortillas were being hand made right off the grill. The senorita so meticulously balled up the dough and made each one perfectly and grilled and turned them over so they were perfect for taste, texture and warmth. Service - Horrible as in not friendly not welcoming and impatient with customers when trying to make up their minds what to order. Or ignore you when you need help with a bad lukewarm meal. In the wee hours of Saturday morning, on my way home, I passed El Rinconsito near the intersection of 39th and Median. The fact that they were open at all that hour baffled me as I perused the menu. Tacos were my vegetarian choice, even though the clerk recommended the Championes quesadilla. In my book, these tacos are up there with the best of them. These soft street tacos with sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and cilantro topped with cheese and sauce absolutely slapped! Each mouthful of this surprisingly simple dish is a flavor explosion. They were so excellent that I would have requested another helping if I hadn't started with chips and salsa. Did I mention inexpensive? The prices are on par with many establishments in metro Tacoma. They offer a 4 taco $10.99 deal. I gave this place a four-star since It was too early in the morning to give a fair evaluation of the ambiance. Oh, and the service was amazing by the way.
