Since it's also the warmest jacket I own, I've continued to wear it over the years. Those years began to catch up with the jacket. Seams had begun to separate and the cuffs had frayed terribly. After a long search, I ran across SewNeau and the owner (and Ninjamaster of needle and thread) Ruth Rice. She spent a great deal of time researching possible sources for the replacement fabric for the cuffs, sending me links and photos of the candidates. By then I'd come to feel very comfortable with Ms. Rice and her detailed approach to the work. Even so, it was a leap of faith to send my jacket across the country for rehab. Boy, am I glad I did. The jacket came back in wonderful shape, with new cuffs and waistband, broken stitching repair, pockets mended. I was damn close to choked up when I took it out of the box. I was so delighted, I took my summer-weight flight jacket out of storage and sent it along for the same sterling treatment. You Cleveland folks are awfully lucky to have SewNeau in your neighborhood. I'd recommend Ruth Rice's work to anyone who asks, even if, like me, you live out of town. And I will use their services again.

I needed not only a mother of the bride dress hemmed, but I needed the bust adjusted too. The bus part was complicated work and she did an amazing job. Her prices are not inexpensive, but the work is quality and perfect. She adjusted everything one time fixed it perfectly and it was exactly as I wanted it when I arrived to pick it up. I highly recommend this woman for any Important tailoring needs that you might have. She works out of her home. It has a separate entrance for the business part. She…read moredidn't let me know in advance, but after going to her studio and finding it empty a couple times, I decided to call before picking up. That would've been ok, but she left a bit of a mess in the dress, and she did not perform one of the services that were asked (and the one that was most critical in my opinion). She did charge the full price though. She said that she was afraid to damage the dress, but I looked into it afterwards and there was nothing particularly risky about the fix - it would just be a lot of work, the lining would have to ve removed, a panel would have to be dettached, etc. Some of her seams looked bad upon further inspection and I had to manually remove them. She definetely didn't care about the job. The price is good though. If you can afford it, I would look for someone else. If you need very simple fixes and you are short on cash, than perhaps this place would do. Debra does not seem to care about quality.
