A very good neighborhood bar. First time I walked in, the regulars made me feel very welcome.

Cliquish. That sums up Fast Eddie's in a word. The décor is contemporary warehouse complete with a…read moremetal "lift" door. The owner spends most of his time at "whatever" a far nicer and larger bar down the street playing video games and lets his staff of two females pretty much run the place. I'm not a bar owner but I'm pretty sure that's not a good idea. Also the one picture on Google Reviews is far more "representative" of his place. Fast Eddie's is in a tiny industrial park. I don't even recognize the pictures on Yelp lol! Anyway: Eddie claims to own the last of the "ice houses" as they are called. The beers are $2.50 (about the cheapest in town) and you can bring your own liquor and for about the same price one of his girls will sell you a glass of soda to mix with it. The only problem with this concept is that it brings in the clique. They're generally real drinkers and smokers, on a budget, whites only of course, and not particularly well educated yet they will give you their opinion on politics, religion and just about anything else whether you want it or not lol. The beer is generally cold enough but bring cash; if you run a credit tab you have to drink at least four brews (enough to render most men legally drunk unless you eat with it and they don't serve food) or you will be presented a duck for each beer of four you don't drink. I used to come in once in a while (with cash) I hate that duck thing as I have no where to keep toy ducks lol. However one of their long time regulars told Eddie his version of a verbal altercation between he and I; that could have ended up outside and I was invited not to come back for a time. That was roughly two years ago. I was then invited back by Eddie a few weeks ago because I see him often enough at "whatever"; and was coming in for my seventh time (I was a model of politeness and on my best behavior) when I was told by one of Eddie's girls that on of the "clique" had suggested that on the previous occasion (a birthday party as I recall) that I had absconded with two of his "ducks" net worth in U.S. currency $5 and I was barred again. WTF! First off: 1. People who live in $300,000 dollar homes don't shoplift anything. 2. U.S. Patent Holders with advanced degrees in Math, Physics and Engineering don't either. 3. People with a six figure salary history who retire at 49 don't lift toy ducks they cant stand. 4. I've got to quit "slumming"! I like ordinary people but you just can't take them anywhere lol!

Ok acknowledgement. Clock it My server was Lay was super busy but she didn't miss a beat. She was also training so another servier Lisa was shadowing her. The sports bar had R&B playing moderately loud (but no issues carrying on a conversation). I can only imagine the vibe may be different with larger crowds in the evenings/weekends. The menu is a QR code on the table. They have a large outside covered patio. Lots of TV's inside & outside. The salmon salad was very good. The salmon was cooked just right & very well seasoned. Nice size, generous amount of toppings (eggs, tomatoes, onions) such that I had toppings in every bite with my lettuce. The entire salad, dusted with a cajun seasoning, was a nice touch. Food was served in a metal plate with plasticware & plastic cups. (I'm sure the 'plastic' is helpful for managing the outside dining.) Chef Dee came out to check on us. She saw me taking a picture of my food & playfully said 'hey you gotta take a pic of the chef who created it'. Of course I took her pic!! Based on my salmon salad, I would definitely try other items on the menu if ever in the area again. Try them out. If you don't prefer a crowd, pop in for lunch.

While each location has been wonderful, my wife and I have always come back to the Cypress location not just for the great food but the waitstaff, management and cooks have been spot-on in everything that we have ordered whether we were in for just the two of us, our extended family as well as having our church group come in for food. We have had multiple different dishes and each one have been proportioned enough that we have taken leftovers home to enjoy later. The 2-3 times that there has been an issue with our order, the waitstaff and management went out of their way to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. The Sunday Brunch is a must have with so many options from your normal brunch fair to the full menu.
