Came to watch the World Cup game between Mexico and South Korea. The ambience is your typical bar restaurant seating but with good lighting. There were plenty of seats inside and outside to choose from. The greeting staff were very friendly. The restaurant menu is pretty big and diverse. We ordered the Korean chicken bao buns, Brussel sprouts, Cajun fries ( not pictured), and nachos with chicken. The Korean chicken bao huns were pretty good with a combination of sweet, savory, and a little bit of acid from the pickled veggies. The Brussel sprouts were good but there was way too much oil in the dish so every bite felt heavier that it should have been. The Cajun fries had good flavor but were really salty. Finally, the nachos came as a large portion with delicious melted cheese but most disappointing was the small portion of chicken that it came with. The chips were fresh and crispy. read more

Our waitress was great from start to finish-friendly, timely, but not intrusive. They gave us a free appetizer-home made chips-since it was our first visit and they were great. A few were a bit soft but the majority were crispy and all were delicious. For dinner, my husband had the seared Ahi Salad. I had a bowl-I don't remember what it was called but they happily subbed out the protein and didn't even charge extra. While we chose healthier options this visit, there are a large variety of items and everything looks tasty! We will definitely go again and try more! read more

My colleagues and I decided to go here for lunch on Friday. We chose to sit outdoors because it was a really nice day. However, the place seemed really nice and family friendly. I ordered the crispy deviled eggs for my appetizer. They were good. For my entree, I had the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap. It was good as well. The hot honey feta dip was the star! I'll be back for that since I only sampled my friend's. The brussel sprouts were okay. The service was great and quick. Our waiter, Jacob, was very attentive and responsive. My Dad and I ordered from the fireside favorites Mediterranean Chicken Bowl and we absolutely loved it. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and we finished our plates and made room for dessert. My husband had the chicken pot pie and my brothers had the chicken fettuccine and Thai noodles and everyone enjoyed their yummy meals. In October, my brother was having a baby. Well, you know what I mean... I had to get an emergency pickup from here as the baby could come any time within the next 2 hours. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and my brother ordered a salad. The waiting seating was stale and uncomfortable and the vibes were that of a common Texas chain that serves cinnamon butter (IYKYK). Underwhelming... Yet, the food was incredible! Wow. My only gripe was that the communication between the hosts and the kitchen was grueling: I showed up about 8 minutes after it said it would be ready and, upon arrival, I was told that there were no orders under both my brother's first and middle names. I got a screenshot from my brother and it showed the correct address and everything. The hosts were young and laughing and using their phones in front of me with total dismissal. When the girl did radio to the kitchen, she didn't use the microphone properly. She said the easiest name incorrectly the whole time. I kept correcting her and she never gave me eye contact. Brutal. I went and sat down on my own accord. 15 minutes later, a woman comes with a bag and says, "what is the name on the order?" to which I confirmed the name. She handed it to me and scolded the hosting staff. Overall, the most uncomfortable experience I've had in a long time. Won't be back unless it's something ordered for delivery. read more

Our waitress Alexis recommended two of her favorite dishes, the BBQ Bison meatloaf and wok fried sweet n spicy chicken bowl. First time trying Lazy Dog tonight Feta honey dip with warm bread, complimentary chips, Caesar side salad, and Chilean sea bass. Everything was so good. Really nice atmosphere and a great spot, especially if you're bringing your dog since the patio is pet-friendly. Food and drinks were good and the overall vibe is cozy. Would have given 5 stars, but the service was very slow during our visit and the fireplace wasn't working, which was a little disappointing since it adds to the whole cozy feel. Last minute late dinner stop which turned out to be a great time because we hit happy hour at 9pm!!! This restaurant is HUGE! Lots of seats indoor and outdoor. The patio even has a big fire pit with TV's if you want to kick back and enjoy a sports game or just relax period. Great menu selection and service was friendly and efficient. The portions are plenty that I had enough to take home and enjoy later which the edamame tastes even better reheated. Loved the chicken wraps- lots of flavor but definitely would have not complained if they added a few more nuts for texture. Butter noodles for the kids comes with a side of watermelon which was fresh and sweet. Hands down our favorite place to go for American cuisine. They have a mixture of Tex Mex, Asian, Diners food options here. We love their cocktails and of course their candy bacon. BBQ Bison meatloaf is homemade and filling. Nothing special about its taste. Their burger is great though. I'm sure there's more food to try. But the service and the vibe here is top notched. So I'm in Houston for training and my wife joined me on the next to last day so off to dinner we go. Found this restaurant through Yelp and after a brief drive, we found it. The outside looks charming and once inside, the view reminded us both of a lodge. We were quickly seated and taken care of. Began by ordering some candied bacon as a starter, I ordered the ribeye burger with onion rings and my wife ordered the PotRoast. Our food came and the bacon was yummy, sweet with some red and black pepper but you really couldn't taste much of the pepper. Oh, I also ordered a cup of tortilla soup with avocado and that was lovely. My wife's potroast was very yummy, the meat was tender and the mashed potatoes were smooth. Very good indeed. My burger was the . Ordered it medium and that's how it was served with some delicious onion rings. The burger had some queso on it as well and was very satisfying. We then ordered a butter cake with fresh strawberries and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and some freshly brewed coffee that hit the spot. Great option on the Northside of town for late night bites. We came in on a Sunday around 10:30pm and we're quickly taken care of. The atmosphere was warm, inviting and casual. Jacob was our server for the night and he took great care of us. Food came out decently fast and everything was pretty good. I had the seared ahi tuna salad and thought the dressing and salad itself was really good. The tuna was a bit saltier and fishier than I would've liked but I ended up finishing everything anyway.The portion sizes are also considerable. Stop by this restaurant because it was near my hotel that I was staying in. Ambiance: It is very open dining area with several high tables, low tables and booths. And open style kitchen and medium size bar area. During my visit, there were couple areas that had parties with at least 8+ people in their party. Service: Service started off slow but got better as I sat their longer. The waiter didn't mention their name at the beginning but came back later that they apologized for their lack of customer service. Noticed that several employees were helping each other with different services to aid the customers. Food: Unfortunately, this is why I had to give them 4 stars because the food was just okay. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't the greatest. The bacon biscuit was not what I thought it would be, and the drinks were just okay. The Wok meal I had was good, however, I was looking for some additional seasoning. Overall: I would suggest trying it out for yourself and see how you may like it or not. They have several locations.
