I was visiting the area and came across this spot randomly as I was looking online for places to eat. There were lots of parking spaces available and it seemed to be in a mall area, so the lot is shared with other businesses. After we parked, we walked in and it seemed like a ghost town inside. Not many patrons in the dining area and the kitchen seemed quiet. I was able to get the attention of one of the employees who directed me to one of their menus. After looking at their choices, I settled on something that wasn't too heavy. I ended up selecting turkey breast slices on white. However, they were out of white bread, so I got it on a croissant instead. At the time, I could not have anything else added to the sandwich, but just mayo and I was able to get that on the side (in a packet). I didn't know if you could get the sandwich heated up or not. A few weeks ago, we were in the Dania Pointe at the south end and noticed this TooJay's Deli. The outside was clean and inviting with a desire to return. Ordered the reuben sandwich with a side of steak fries and potato salad. Since I just had surgery, my parents picked up the order for Take Out only. They ordered the pastrami sandwich with cole slaw. No issues with the order which was placed into a large white carrying bag with no business logo - a logo stamp would cost pennies and be basically free marketing but I dont manage or own the place. The containers were sealed well and the sandwiches were still warm. My reuben sandwich was packed with moist meat, melted swiss, crunchy sauerkraut all wedged between lightly toasted artisan bread. Its either TooJays or McAlisters for my choice of reubens which are the same size and cost at $15.79. Its a difficult decision which one is better. read more

Came here for dinner with a few friends last week. no one told us, but the air conditioning was not working. Turns out it hadn't been working for a while. So we got by on fans. The place was not full at all, but the service was slow. (I do feel bad for the employees who had to work there all day every day without air-conditioning ) Our server was working very hard so he may have been overwhelmed. I ordered the Reuben. It was really delicious and very hearty. The french fries that came with it were also very good. We had a coupon for a free dessert so we tried the chocolate layer cake. Got take out from TooJay's and loved my warm Reuben sandwich. The sliced corn beef had just enough fat for a wonderful taste with a pinch of added mayo. The French fries were big but not a fan. We were excited to find a local TooJays! We both ordered the RARE roast beef and 'artisan' rye bread. We asked if the roast beef was rare, and were told enthusiastically "YES!" As experienced deli dining persons are aware, rare means MOIST and red. This was pink and dry. The authenticity is in question as NO reputable deli would consider the sandwich sufficient. The rye was advertised as 'artisan' rye, when we are SURE it was from a bag on a shelf in the grocery isle. Not authentic at all. Waitstaff were wonderful and made extra effort. read more

TooJay's offers the classic New York Jewish deli experience with lots of availability all over Florida and easy access. I enjoy crossing the menu and trying breakfast, brunch and lunch/dinner options. My lox-topped avocado toast hit the spot with some Everything bagel seasoning over top. The eggs were light and fluffy. My only concern in this visit was staffing - granted it was a Wednesday morning, but with only one server on the entire floor, each step of ordering, service and closing out took extra time. I probably would have asked to switch to take-out if I'd noticed earlier. I'm pretty sure you would not have the same experience on a weekend. read more

Service excellent - Frank was courteous and attentive . . . and has a sense of humor. Has been there 6 years. Food was adequate, but disappointing . . . brisket sandwich contained a disappointing amount of brisket. I mentioned this to the chef, who told me that he's instructed to only use 5.5 oz. This review is strictly for their take out. I had a surgery in the summer and was badly craving for all kinds of soups after an initial no solid diet. TooJay's came in handy. Gave it a another couple tries for breakfast and lunch but they can't get their shit together. We again will no longer be future guests. Mature/female servers are slow and not attentive. Food which used to be good is now institutional/cheap quality or simply not properly cooked. Received waffles with totally raw batter inside. Latkes were totally burnt. I stopped by TooJay's Deli in Dania Beach for lunch. The food and dessert options were good, and the chicken fried steak was decent--about average, similar to what you'd find at Denny's. The main issue was the service. The restaurant was only about half full, yet the two women waitresses were running around trying to keep up with all the tables. They were polite and clearly working hard, but they were far overworked. It's obvious the restaurant needs more staff, especially during the lunch rush, to keep things moving efficiently. Overall, the food was fine, but the long wait times and lack of staff make me hesitate to come back unless they add more help. read more

There is a list of veggie white egg omelette for 8.99 But it's only morning hours so we see make your own omelette for $13.00 this includes meat and veggies . It was okay but when we got the bill they charged us for the veggie and egg whites extra . I ordered the potato pancakes and they were so greasy that I had to get a paper towel to wipe off that oil ,but it was still so greasy and hard. Tried this place because other nearby places were not dog friendly. The service was very slow and the food was subpar. I had the eggs with corned beef hash and it came with a side of potatoes. The eggs were not very good, not sure what was really wrong but I could not finish it. I would not return to this place. I have only tried one other location and it really was only slightly better.
