Let's just say taking knees and forearms to my jaw didn't really help my teeth. Those collision caused my silver fillings to crack and break and added some chips too. So when I finally had to face the music and get my teeth right I was recommended this dentist office by a friend and my journey to a better smile began! I am so blessed by Dr. Greg Vigoren for truly caring about dental care! He is extraordinary and so is His crew! I had a root canal done was rough but I am no longer suffering my tooth pain is gone and I am happily eating again! Shout out to Daniel who does wonderful work cleaning my teeth and He ever readjusted my bite which saved me lots of pain! Thanks to there awesome assistant Diana who helped ease my nerves with Her good vibes and solid attitude! I wish I didn't have to write this, but I think it's important to tell the reality of what ended up…read morebeing a terrible experience. I was referred to this dentist by a former coworker. I'd told my coworker that I had some dental anxiety after a dentist I loved missed a cavity that ended up a root canal and a few other bad experiences. She told me that Dr. Vigoren was the one I should go to. I secured PPO dental insurance just so I could go to Vigoren and confirmed that his office would take my insurance over the phone. Turns out they were out of network and most of my visit uncovered. I walked into my first appointment feeling nervous, as I'm a wimp with dental anything ... but I was still optimistic. The dentist came in quite quickly and, within a few moments of meeting him, informed me that I have sleep apnea. Now, at this point he had done absolutely NO inspection of my mouth and he is not a doctor. I was shocked. I sleep great and feel energized. I told him this, but he insisted that he could tell by the grooves on my tongue. He told me that teeth grinding has been disproved to be stress and that TMJ ties into your brain stem and your body trying to keep you alive during apnea episodes. He ordered that I get what I thought was an X-Ray covered by my insurance. However, when my bill came I found out that a cat scan is NOT an X-Ray or covered at all. I believe it was several hundred dollars just for that (but I'll check my bill). After hearing that the dentist thought I had sleep apnea, I felt really worried. My husband was in the waiting room and I began texting him. The dentist reviewed my scan and admitted that he was surprised, as I appeared to have plenty of room and not have apnea. I felt so trapped at this point and wanted to leave, but really needed my teeth cleaned. The dentist let my husband come back at which point he talked (very rudely) to my husband and I about how I have some extra fat on my face and chin. I'm a women of 40 and normal, I certainly don't need to be discussed weight-wise. I found his comments so impolite and uncalled for and, frankly, not welcoming. He showed us large photos of my teeth and lectured us about his superior dentistry. He took us in his office to show us a PowerPoint about dentistry. He talked and talked. It felt like a used car sales and we were there several hours. By the time we left his office the hygienist didn't have time to clean my teeth and they told me I may have to come back. I told them I'd made sure my appointment would have a teeth cleaning too, in advance. Vigoren offered to do it personally and (frankly) bragged it would be the best cleaning I'd ever had. It wasn't. He didn't take the time a hygienist would and my teeth still felt gritty. Now, on one hand, I am sure he's a great dad or grandpa. He even told us he'd diagnosed his son (maybe son-in-law) who now uses a CPAP machine, despite being resistant at first. However, nice person aside, he didn't respect that you can't just diagnose people on a dime without medical testing. It did NOT make me trust dentists more to wrongly diagnose me with sleep apnea. It was also so disappointing. I thought he was the dentist I'd been waiting for, but I want someone who respects my boundaries when I'm nervous ... like not talking about my face fat to my husband! I hope they see this and consider that people who say they are nervous about dentistry should be treated better. I now have a bill after I thought the visit would be covered. Sigh. First off, let me say that two dentists have tried to numb my mouth. When the numbness would wear…read moreoff SECONDS after the shot, one dentist gave me shots all over my mouth, including the roof of my mouth and my tongue. Nothing worked. We even tried the next day with clear instructions not to drink coffee or tea. Still, nothing worked. I was told that the last time that happened, the patient had been a drug addict. Suffice to say, I don't do drugs, except for Ventolin and Symbicort for my asthma, and I'll drink wine at the most just a handful of times a year (pre-Covid). The second dentist, who was a tiny Asian woman and who has since passed away, actually used the armrest to add more pressure to get the needle in deep. I felt my nerve (wriggle). Not surprisingly, It took me three years to see my dentist again after those experiences. Not too long ago, I was told my my dentist that I needed work done on two teeth that was treated about three years ago. The onlay on my #18 had come off and there was now a slight crack in the tooth. My number #9 tooth had a secondary cavity. What?! It cost me close to $2000 out of pocket for the treatment and an anesthesiologist. My dentist, knowing how difficult it is for me to get numbed, recommended Dr. Mokbel. When Dr. Mokbel and Danielle tried to reassure me that I would get numbed, I was quite skeptical. I just wanted to pay the extra cost for an anesthesiologist. Let me sleep and wake up with everything done. But okay, why not give it a try. I mean the guy teaches classes at USC and have taken students to poor countries to help the less fortunate. Danielle had it okayed to prescribe Xanax, which I took before arriving to the office. One pill didn't work, so I took another one. She also suggested playing music, which I did. My first visit to fix my #9 went great. I was told I snored a couple of times (I usually snore when getting a massage) and my tooth looks so much better. I can now smile in the morning without getting grossed out at my reflection. I just left the office. This was my second visit for my #18. It was harder to numb me this time. But Dr. Mokbel kept at it. I had complete faith in him and had hoped he wouldn't give up. Man, I was telling my mind to just relax, but something in me resists the idea of being poked and prodded and I hate the idea of of being medicated. After what felt like 45 minutes, I was told that I was done. What?! The procedure was much quicker than my first visit. You can't believe how stressed I've been. I'm not a pansy. I've been punched in my face and kicked in my stomach numerous times by my ex, so the dentist shouldn't be nothing, but it is to me. Dentists and doctors are scary people who invade very private places. Like I said, I absolutely HATE going to the dentist and doctor. But if I ever had to do something like this again, and I hope I die before I do, Dr. Mokbel and his amazing staff would be my first choice.

After several months and multiple adjustment visits, she is still unable to wear her dentures due to pain. We sought a second opinion and were told that one of the implants is still covered by gum tissue, which prevents the denture from seating properly and causes significant discomfort. As a result, she cannot use either her lower or upper dentures (the upper also needs relining), and she is now having difficulty eating and has started losing weight. During our most recent visit (March 25, 2026), I was there to help translate. The dentist refused to communicate with me and also refused to allow her daughter to assist by phone. After waiting about 90 minutes, the interaction became very upsetting. The dentist raised his voice, told me to leave, and continued yelling while following me out of the room. Unprofessional conduct Patient intimidation / abusive behavior Failure to provide appropriate patient communication This was a very stressful and uncomfortable experience, especially for an elderly patient who needed help understanding her care. I called the office asking if I could make an appointment with them and the receptionist, Crystal, checked some list she had and my name wasn't on it. Of course it wasn't because I'm not assigned to it but I have insurance that they accept and I had asked her how I could go and be a patient there. Well after she concluded that her job only consisted of reading off names that are on a list instead of actually trying to contact the insurance provider and be useful in any sort of way, I decided to give my provider a call (yet again) to see how to assign myself to this office. She kept telling me I could get to a live person in the automated phone system, but I had tried 3 times and had been unsuccessful because the options were very limited. I called her back and after giving me some incredible attitude like I was incompetent or something, asked for my information and said she would call me back to check. Finally, I thought, she can actually do her job for once. Well, if you think you'll get great customer service here then you certainly won't find it. When I finally got a call back from Crystal she told me that I was wrong and that there was an option for me to assign myself to their office and that I "simply had to listen to the menu" as if to say I didn't just spend the last half hour trying to do that on my own. All she said before the end of the voicemail was that, again, she wasn't able to do anything for me. Well she was right. She certainly cannot do anything for me nor can she really do anything at all except answer phone calls with the worst attitude. It surprises me how people can be employed as the face of an office and still have terrible customer service, but I guess this is just a forewarning for the kind of service you can expect to receive in this office. Thank goodness I was assigned to someplace better, with far more credibility, and friendlier office staff. I'll be sure to steer clear from this establishment when there are better options out there.

He wanted to send me to a specialist in case the tooth cracked. I went to specialist and he had no problem getting the tooth out and there was no cracking. Then I called to set up an appointment to get the rest of the work set up to be completed and his office staff told me that since a grievance was filed against him that he no longer wanted me as a patient. The staff lied about what the grievance was about and then said that there was no trust anymore. Now I have to find a new dentist to finish up the work. Total jerk. Had I not called, I would have never known as they did not have the decency to call me themselves.
