Dr Lam will ask parents to leave the room so he can "do his thing". We refused. He physically threatened our 5 year old and said that "we can just force him". I am baffled as to why he has good reviews but parents - providers should not treat kids this way! I do not think he has kids of his own and if your gut is telling something is wrong that's because something is wrong. There are a million other pediatric dentists to try. read more

I couldn't have asked for a better first visit for my 5 year old. The front staff was kind and efficient and we didn't have to wait long to be called for our appointment. We were sat in the chair by Alondra who was very caring and patient and took the time to explain and show my daughter the process of the cleaning. Dr. Lam stopped by to welcome us which was nice and showed care. We were seen by another Dr who did an exam and was very thorough. Total appointment time was 30 min and gave us a rundown of possible treatment in the future. Office is clean and has lots of toys and games. Without question the BEST dental experience my 6 children and I have ever experienced. The staff were all kind and welcoming. We didn't feel shamed for being a large family. Scheduling was easy, on time, and well managed to get through all of the kids on the same day. Dr. Crystal and Dr. Lam have phenomenal personalities and patient management. Explaining areas to improve came from a positive, nonjudgmental place. Preventative plans were reasonable and not instant recommendations for procedures. Their ability to work with our Autistic toddler with patience is priceless. Long overdue review. Dr. Lam and Dr. Hanano are amazing!! They are caring, attentive, and always so welcoming. Their office staff are also amazing! We started coming here about a year ago for annual check ups and cleaning for my adult special need child. We were referred by a local mom who brings her two adult special needs boys here. We were happy with our former pediatric dentist, however, due being aged out, the office would not accept him as a patient. Dr. Lam welcomed us with open arms. The only caveat is for major dental work that are geared for adults, will need to be referred out to general dentistry who handles adult dental issues and that was disclosed to us upfront. So far we've only needed annual check ups and cleaning and a very very very happy with our service and care. read more

Efficient use of time - very short wait, efficient cleaning, not waiting around for the dentist forever after a cleaning (our appointments are half the time in comparison) 2. I do not recommend bringing your children here. it looks nice and they paint the rooms with cartoon themes but I brought both my kids here and it's just a cash cow for them. Im not a dentist so when a supposed professional gives you advice, you trust them to do the right thing, the right way and that was not the case. I just got a second opinion on work done on my kids and Im being told it wasn't done right. my other kid had a minor spot on her tooth so we paid for whatever shaved-down and fill work the dentist recommended and within a month that beautiful front tooth of hers broke in half and they refused to acknowledge any kind of responsibility. they tried telling me my kid probably chews in toys when Im not looking. and I had to pay for a crown that was installed very ugly, doesn't look the same, doesn't look straight or nice. I am very upset, very disappointed. the staff is nice but the results of work done is disappointing and they set it up in a way where you have to just come back and pay again. i spent several hundred dollars in 3-4 visits, just for the dental work to be untrustworthy and unprofessional. I will not be returning. Im reaching out to lawyers to see what we can do. They don't give you an option for treatment, they just walk into the room ready for procedures you haven't approved, it's very frustrating seeing them push work instead of worrying about the children's long term health read more

I have been bringing my four sons to TBPC amd Dr. Lam for the past 15 years. They are seriously the best! Caring staff, able to get appointments easy without long waits. I have been bringing my girls here for about a year after a bad experience with a previous RC Children's Dentist. Dr. Lam and Dr. Crystal have been so wonderful with my daughters, even when they may be frightened or difficult. In addition to them providing the best care, the front office staff here are top knotch. Hillary and Rebecca have always been helpful, informative and professional. For today's visit, the girl asked me in the most peculiar way that made me go into all negativity about your office. It was just okay. Nothing huge wrong with this place but I think my sons old dentist in a different area set a high bar. The old dentist acted like they really liked children. They were so happy and friendly and sweet to my kid. This place... not so much the hygienist seemed annoyed and so did the assistant to be honest, didn't smile much at all. Didn't really seem understanding. In general they just seemed kind of annoyed and rushed. Maybe having a bad day idk but I wasn't quite comfortable with the lack of friendly ness from the team. They took us into a large open room with a bunch of kids getting their teeth cleaned all in the same open room (which was weird) my son had just turned 3 when i brought him there. There were a few toys around the room that of course he wanted but it was strange because some were behind where the other kids were getting their teeth cleaned so I had to keep him from going to get the toys and he was crying of course and the team seemed a little annoyed. Before we left he had one of their toys, which of course we were planning to give back before we left the area, but before we even had the change the assistant came and took it and of course my son started crying. Idk the old place gave them a little gift/toy to take but even if they hadn't done that snatching the toy wasn't a good option because of course he's going to cry... Like I said it wasn't horrible but its just it didn't feel like I was working with a team who likes kids. I decided to take him somewhere else for his next appointment. read more

I no longer recommend this practice due to their handling of patients with COVID symptoms. Their office policy encourages sick patients to keep appts rather than reschedule and get tested. Basically, unless my child isn't so sick that she can't walk -- it's ok. They waived our reschedule fee but next time they'll charge. So next time, if my child developes a croupy cough/runny nose the night before, I should bring her in....? I'm not confident that this office takes enough precautions to keep patients safety, more so than, profits/ their convenience. read more

We have taken our kids to Tooth Booth for a few years and were happy with their office (until recently). Two main reasons: 1) Our child needed VERY loose teeth extracted. He is 7 and has no apprehension. He is very brave. They refused to do any treatment without laughing gas which is a $150 charge. They have no history of doing treatment on him or having a bad experience with him: he's never needed any treatment. Despite my numerous requests and him being in pain they would not treat him without laughing gas. I took him to a family dentist and they administered anesthesia and extracted within minutes. WITHOUT laughing gas. As we expected, he did very well and did not need it. 2) The office bill "PPE" of $55 to insurance. Insurance denied the charge, rightfully so. I called to inquire and they said it is for their PPE (personal protection equipment) but that we didn't need to pay it. They are not doing anything different than what they did in past: gloves, glasses, etc. No other medical or dental office we have been to in last year and half is charging these fees. This practice is clearly in it for the $$$. We will not be returning! read more

I love Dr. Lam but the front office staff does not reflect well on him. All the women behind the front are so slow and they spend more time chatting among themselves than actually working. They're also not very friendly or helpful. Instead of helping you when you walk to the front desk, they just keep telling you to have a seat and make you wait forever even if you're just trying to make your next appointment. If you have questions about your insurance etc. they get annoyed and act irritated that you're asking them to do their job. It's unfortunate because the hygienists and the Dentist himself are wonderful. Once you're called back everything is done quickly and everyone is nice but you'll wait forever for anything to get done at the front desk. I wish they would hire new front desk personnel. read more

My son recently got hurt and bumped his teeth at a birthday party after our pediatric dentistry would not take us I called here and they were amazing and were able to get us in right away the doctors were kind and empathetic the staff was amazing they got us in right away I took him back and made him feel comfortable and give me a detailed plan of care. I've been meaning to write this review from the day we left the office. First of all we were the last appointments of the day so right from the start I felt like we were being rushed. After the X-rays they took only from one of my children, the dr came in and told us that both our kids needed baby root canals and crowns and total for both of their procedures would be close to 3k. Since it was towards the end of the year, we decided to wait for next year since we would have a HSA account. My husband and I decided to go to our dental office for a second opinion and to my surprise they said the complete opposite. They said the procedures were not recommended nor necessary since their baby teeth would fall out anyway and all they said was that my son had a small cavity! Imagine if we would've listened to these people from the beginning?! This dr is very unethical and unprofessional so please beware and ALWAYS get a second opinion! This practice is money hungry at our children's expense. read more

This was my second time coming for a check up/cleaning on my toddler. During our first visit, we were helped right away and Dr. Crystal was very polite and took her time while answering questions that I had. However, our follow up appointment (6 months later) was not as welcoming. To start off, our appointment was at 9 am to which we arrived at 8:50am. The office seemed busy so it's understanding if they were backed up so we didn't end up getting called until 9:40am. We also kept seeing other clients being called in before us. Another thing to note is that they charge $30 for fluoride if it's not included in your dental plan. I didn't understand why because I don't get charged for that as an adult when I go to my personal dentist for cleanings/check ups. When we finally get checked in, Dr. Crystal comes in along with her dental assistant. She was still polite but I also felt a sense of urgency from her. I could understand if there were other clients waiting on procedures rather than a check up or cleaning but we waited more than 40 minutes (after our actual appointment time) to be seen and had a less than 10 minute checkup/cleaning appointment. We also noticed that a mother with 3 children came in right before we were called in and they were seen rather quickly. I guess early mornings tend to be busy? It's also important to mention that toothbrushes are only given upon request. With the prices they charge you would think it would be complimentary since cleanings/check ups are every 6 months. Oh and they will charge you $25 if you don't cancel or re schedule your appointment 24 hours in advance. read more

Super disappointed in this office. They came highly recommended from the orthodontic office. My 10-year-old needs three teeth pulled before she can have braces on. She had a traumatic experience at her previous dentist when she had a tooth pulled so the orthodontist recommended the Tooth Booth. I called and made the appointment days in advance, letting them know this was not our normal office and it was a referral. We wanted a consultation with the dentist to talk about how they were going to remove the teeth. Upon arriving at the office, the girl at the front asked if I was OK with fluoride treatment. I questioned this since this was just a consultation and she was confused because she thought it was a new patient and we were doing a cleaning. Once I clarified why we were there, she obviously didn't have the right paperwork nor had she gotten the right approval from our dental insurance. Long story short, it was going to cost me either a lot of money for the consultation or it was going to mess me up in the future for our regular dentist appointments with our insurance. This was clearly a clerical error and I asked if the dentist could just see us anyway as a courtesy, they refused to honor that. I had already rearranged my schedule and gotten off early to take my daughter to this appointment, I had to get my husband to take off work to take my son to a different appointment at the same time. It's very frustrating being a working mom (or a mom in general. our schedules are crazy) and then have an office staff that's not willing to work with you. I now have to wait for our regular dentist to pull her teeth. They are booked out until after the school year starts so now not only does my daughter have to miss school, I will have to miss work during the week to get this process done and it's just going to prolong her being able to put braces on her teeth. One small clerical error and an office staff not willing to budge, puts a real damper on people's lives. So no, I do not recommend this office! read more

I have been here twice this year for my 2 year old son. I love that its a pediatric office. There is a few toys, video games for older kids, and the office is definitely maintained and clean. It's nice that they play disney movies on the screen above the chair. Dr Lam is pretty efficient with the kids in my experience and seems to know what he is doing. He seemed a little impatient this time with my son because he kept crying and not wanting the cleaning, being only two and being in a chair under a bright light in a unfamiliar setting is a little nerve wracking. I also took off a star because the two times I have been here it seems like they are always running a little behind schedule. Our appointment was scheduled at 10:00 each time but we didn't get in the actual chair to be serviced till 10:30 and then waited another 25 minutes to see the dentist. As a working parent its like an extra hour of the day. The first time I went here a similar thing happened too. So maybe they just run behind schedule a little bit? I say its worth a shot if you want to take your little one in a kid environment but its nothing super special. read more
