Dentist visit made easy!…read more I despise having teeth work done. The noise, the pain, discomfort...not fun. So, making this appointment was a significant step as I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and last time I was living in a different state. I was initially told I'd have to make 2 separate appointments: one for xrays and evaluation, the next for the cleaning. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was able to do all of this in one visit! Chelsea was my hygienist and she was amazing! Super gentle, explained everything she was doing during the xrays and evaluation and my teeth didn't hurt at all while she cleaned. I was so much more relaxed that I anticipated. Dr. Rose came in and evaluated quickly; I did have to come back for a few fillings...to be expected by me of course. Prices are fair I guess, as I do not have insurance. They do not accept payment plans however. I don't really mind this as I am more than pleased with my treatment and look forward to keeping up better with my dentistry by coming here.

The entire staff of Maple Way is so friendly and helpful, they truly go above and beyond to provide exceptional care. My hygienist does a very thorough job---and on the few occasions when I've had to see a different hygienist, and they have always been equally thorough. Dr. Rose is one of the kindest, warmest people you'll ever meet, and she is truly an exceptional dentist. In addition to standard dental care, she also does some cosmetic dentistry, and she did an incredible job creating crowns for my front teeth, resulting in a smile that I am often complimented on---prior to that, I was very self-conscious of my smile and always tried to keep my lips closed. I truly can't say enough about how happy we have been with this practice. We are now moving away out of state, and are so sad to leave Maple Way dentistry behind!

Dr. Sprague would be my unreserved recommendation of the bunch. His equipment was significantly better than that of top professionals I've used in NYC and Los Angeles, and it made the procedure more comfortable. His chair-side manner is courteous kind and friendly, and his staff worked hard to help get my semi-emergency taken care of incredibly quickly. Dr. Sprague went out of his way to complement the crown on the infected tooth, recently done by a previous dentist, and to make sure I understood that the root canal was not a result of that previous dentist's failings, and I should use him again if needed. That struck me as both professional and kind. On top of all this, it was very affordably priced, and they worked with my insurance with almost no effort from me. You never WANT to be back at the endodontist's office, but if I have to visit another, I sincerely hope it will be Dr. Sprague's.

The owners name is Rose, and her husband is Carl Sheline the mayors wife, so I guess this makes perfect sense. They have no issues taking your money for dental work but if anything happens, they won't HELP.

I truly appreciate the wonderful Maureen, to whom I spoke on the phone when I was desperately trying to find anyone to relieve my agony; while I was originally scheduled for 2 weeks out (yes, that's how busy it gets in Southern Maine) she kept checking for cancellations and managed to get me in much earlier. I had my first consult at the South Portland office, where the staff were all very helpful and Dr. Mitchell verified what we needed to do--and fortunately, they were able to get me in the next day (in the Windham office) for the removal! WHEW. Once there, the procedure itself was a breeze. The whole team was great: super professional, everything explained very clearly (including what the costs would be up-front), and both offices are cheerful and clean and seem to have all the up-to-date equipment. Between these two offices and the other in Biddeford, they seem to have a good system down for getting patients in when they need it. And they had a list of local recommended dentists for regular practice too, which is great for setting up longer-term care. I'll definitely come back to SMOM for any other oral surgery I find myself needing.

I went to a consult at the Windham office. I almost walked out after experiencing the extremely…read morerude and inconsiderate front desk, x-ray tech and intake dental assistant. What is going on there??! It's like walking into the twilight zone. The xray tech didn't adjust the machine properly so it was hitting my shoulders when trying to take the xray. When finished, she told me to step back and the way the machine was lowered down, it caught my two front teeth, like it was going to rip them out. She said "go across the hall to the room". I'm standing there with the xray protection stuff on and was like.. "do you want this stuff back?" And laughed because at this point it felt like a joke. The xray tech was completely without expression the entire time like a failing robot. Then came the dental assistant who repeatedly came back into the room with questions she forgot to ask. She was so condescending and rude. I literally almost walked out during the intake. Completely expressionless and condescending, like I was not worth her time. It's a shame because the doctor, Dr Bradley, was awesome. But after that whole experience, I would never in a million years go back and will tell every one of my twilight-zone experience! Also, I can't wait to get a reply to this like the other one-star reviews, exhibiting a positive, "oh well" attitude, brushing me off and sweeping me under the carpet with all the others. This office LITERALLY couldn't care less. Dr Bradley deserves better representation then that. She should DEFINITELY go elsewhere to provide care!!!
