Tootles & French has FIFA and Knicks. Great place to be when the Knicks won the finals!!! Go NY Go NY Go! TVs in the bar area had the game, as did the large TV in th3 back room. Great food and drinks and amazing staff! They are participating in the 2026 World Cup NYC $26 special - beer or wine, wings (or a veg option), gelato, commemorative cup to take home. I had the $26 special along with 2 other friends, my veg friend had the arugula salad (delicious!), and we shared truffle fries and fried olives. I always enjoy the food and drinks here! Great hospitality and efficiency managing the World Cup crowd and then the Knicks crowd on a Saturday night!

One of my fave wine bars in Queens. I love the chill atmosphere. Chad and his team always make sure to take care of me when I'm here. I love that the menu changes with the season and their wine selection is always on point. If you're not sure what to get, just ask! They have a new venison sausage with gruyer skillet that is the epitome of winter. It made me feel like I was in a French chalet apres-ski. My husband and I shared that with a charcuterie board and paired it with a bottle of red. They have a fantastic Happy Hour until 6pm with discounted apps, cocktails, and wine by the glass or bottle. The bottles are $30 during HH and the quality is great! They also host a ton of fun events. I've been here for drag bingo, but they also host a ton of view parties and trivia nights. Always a great time when I'm here!

My brother and I really enjoyed this place. We came on a Saturday evening and we were lucky because soon after we entered, the place was packed! We loved our food and were served with free gelato as a dessert.

We have been here several times and the food and service is always excellent. This time we came to try the happy hour which has a wide selection of drinks and food. Tonight I also tried the venison skillet off the regular menu which was rich and delicious. I will definitely come back for more.

Great spot for girls night! Service is wonderful and the menu obviously has great cocktails and wine, but fantastic mini bites as well!

This Astoria spot is best of the best for service, food and drinks. It's no wonder they're voted best new restaurant in America by USA today. The service is next level, staff is super knowledgeable and most of all take care that you have a fantastic experience. Trust me, this is the one. Do not procrastinate, simply just get your ass over..

Overview: My husband and I came here for dinner on a Sunday and it was lovely. All of the staff were super nice and it was super cute inside. I really enjoyed the burrata appetizer and the citrus salad. The pastas were good as well. The right amount of food overall. Overall, we enjoyed the food and definitely would want to come back to try other things on the menu! What was ordered: FOOD: shishito peppers, burrata, citrus salad, sautéed crab pasta, beef bolognese, crème brûlée Stand outs: The burrata and the citrus salad Would I come back/recommend: Yes - I would come back Yes - I would recommend

Newer spot in Astoria - went in for dinner on a Friday and was delighted at the experience. Service was super friendly; ambiance is warm and lively. Our server was personable and attentive. I had an espresso martini and chopped cheese sandwich. The chopped cheese was delicious! Fries were crispy and perfectly salted. Crème brûlée was also super tasty. Will definitely return! Want to try the lavender margarita!!

Not many places have an all-day happy hour on Sunday but look no further, tootles & french got ya covered. They have many food and drink options on their HH menu but they food offerings are also really good. They have a eclectic variety of wines on their menu so defs talk to the server to find something new to try!

    Moroccan Shrimp & shrimp pasta

We had been wanting to try this spot for a long time since a friend recommended it. When they won USA Today's readers' choice for best new restaurant, we finally committed. And unfortunately I was disappointed. We started with two apps: coq au vin wings and autumn salad. The wings were really just fine. The ranch was clutch in making sure the wings were a better texture/moister. The autumn salad was not worth getting. It was weirdly dry to a fault-not sure if there was a dressing on it? But the minimal ingredients of the salad were all pretty dry/plain together. Would've benefitted from maybe a nut and/or a cheese to liven it up. The Moroccan shrimp seemed like a good idea: nice portion and aesthetically pretty. But I'm not totally convinced they were completely cooked. They look like they'd have a bit of a crisp but they were much softer than I would expect for cooked shrimp. We wanted the squid ink pasta but this was out-fine. So we got the replacement pasta instead. This was the best meal of the night by far but still was pretty standard. The menu said it would come with calamari which it didn't, so not sure if that was because if was the alternative pasta? But I don't think we were told that. Service was a little lackluster. At least one thing was forgotten and they did admit that most of the staff is rather new. The layout itself isn't designed the best. The host stand is immediately inside the door and there is minimal space to wait for your table. The tables themselves are super close together and there wasn't much personality in the decor. I think ultimately this was the most confusing part- what the personality is supposed to be. The menu itself was a bit all over and didn't have any sort of cohesive theme. I think it was originally meant to be a wine bar, which I could gather, but the menu does not reflect this. All that said, they did win the readers' choice award. So maybe I'm alone in these opinions.

Great service, knows exactly what the menu is and is fast at taking orders. Also keeps water well filled and cool. Omelette was cheesy and tasty with the right combo of mushroom, spice, cheese, egg. Potato hash brown was ok too, but had a tinge of McDonald's taste to it. Only gripe is the salad was small and too smothered in balsamic.

    Christina ..

My second time visiting was so wonderful! I have to say their pasta is the best option on the menu!! We ordered their special pasta (a take on chicken parm in ravioli form) and it was divine. Also, we had the bean dip which was served hot in a skillet-- very delish. My favorite cocktail was the cherry spritz and my boyfriend tried the "smoky" and loved it for those who are fans of mezcal. Try their sorbet as well!

While the food was delicious I think the tipping point for 5 stars was the service at the bar. The bartender was very much a mixologist, providing recommendations to the other guests while also making friendly conversation the whole time (a rare find at any bar in NYC). The crab pasta was very tasty as was the bone marrow. Highly recommend the sours!

The Short Rib dish had the same problem. The pasta was steamy hot but the rib was cold. I really don't have a problem eating cold beef, but I can't eat cold chicken. I would have sent my dish back however it was obvious that they weren't going to make a new dish I felt they would have just nuked it longer. While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.
