My favorite little neighborhood wine bar in Forest Hills. I had written this place off years ago after a bad experience, but I've started coming back here recently after stopping by with a friend for a glass of wine after brunch. They have a decent selection of wines and wine cocktails (No cocktails if that's what your looking for) and a good food menu that can be easily shared with friends. All the food is pretty tasty for the price point, but the one stand out dish if their mussels in spicy tomato sauce. It is perfectly acidic and very spicy (if you like spice, you'll love this). I've gone back 3 times in 3 weeks just for this dish alone! Also, they are lenient about subbing items on their meat & cheese board. My friend does not like cheese, so they were willing to sub out the 3rd cheese options and give us 4 meats for no additional charge. The restaurant is pretty small, so it does get very noisy on Friday evenings. Something to keep in mind if you're looking for a low key night. If you're in the area, definitely come check it out.

First time here even though we have passed by this place so many times at night. Walking in, there are decent bar top seating along with a few tables and chairs. We initially ordered the flatbread on gluten free crust but was told they ran out. Instead we got the shepherd's pie for $20 and the salmon burger for $18. For the salmon burger, it was quite delicious and I can tell it was homemade and come with a salad on the side. My wife enjoyed her shepherd's pie as it was just the right food portion for her. Only observation is for the price, it could have been a tad bigger. But other then that, no issues. The service was very friendly and we got to speak to I believe may be the owner. Very nice gentleman from Kyiv. Overall great place and you could sense a lot of local patrons.

There aren't really any dedicated wine bars in FH, surprisingly, so Keuka is a total gem on days when you want to be a classy drinker. This place is worldly with an impressive extensive range of wines across NZ, Napa Valley, to SA. The cheese and meat selection is also fantastic--I highly suggest finding a way to fit in a meat and cheese board that they mainly source locally and domestically, and some from Italy. This is perfect for someone like me who loves cheese and dried meat but doesn't like to buy a whole chunk so having a sampling will do. The appetizers and entrees are pretty decent too, though I see this place more as a relaxed light bite and drinks spot rather than a dinner spot (unless you come solo or with another person). They have a wonderful sangria that is so worth getting the pitcher in. The space is small but surely intimate, and the service is always attentive because of this. Since I have proximity now that I've moved to the area, this is a place where I'll bring my friends to show some food highlights in the area.

Truly wasn't expecting much. But the crab and avocado were so fresh and lite it was a hit and would recommend it. The charcuterie board comes in 2 sizes. We selected the small one. Will definitely will have the large size the next time. 3 Sliced meats so paper thin and flavorful and has 3 cheeses all fresh and worth it. Not really knowing what to order. We asked to have the most popular of the meats and cheeses. No disappointment here. Small selections of beers but so many choices of wines. This place is for a wine connoisseur. Stayed save with a piñon Low key atmosphere nice bar and a few tables. Also seating table at the window with 5 stools or chairs. Music at a decent level selections by the bartender's IPad Good for a quiet afternoon first dates are small get togethers. Can easily get to by subway E or F train to 75th street stop.

Terrific spot for brunch, came here with a friend a few weeks ago around 1pm on a Saturday and the place was empty aside from us. Needless to say the service was prompt and courteous, drinks and food came out pretty quickly, they didn't rush us at any point though we stayed to almost 3pm. My friend's been here multiple times prior and said everything she's tried has been great. We ordered a charcuterie plate with 3 meats $18 - smoked duck breast, uncured coppicola, and prosciutto - duck breast had a lovely smoky flavor, and the house mustard they served with this dish was really tasty! I wanted to take a jar of this home. The crab and avocado dip $18 was a good sized portion and they gave us a couple large chunks of crab on top too. The dip on the crostini had a great crunch. Fish tacos we prepared very well and was yummy as well. We also ordered a couple lychee mint proseccos $10 which were a sweet, refreshing, bubbly treat. Would love to come back and try some other items on the menu too. Also want to mention they had a Ukrainian beer $10 for which all sales proceeds go towards housing Ukrainian refugees in NY.

If your in Queens on Queens Blvd, this is a must gem to grab a glass of wine and some fresh oysters. Family owned, and absolutely lovely owners. They take pride in their food and wine. I've recently tried their summer on the bay which is pasta and lump crab, delicious!! Meatballs were pretty good needed a bit of seasoning but really good. Their escargot is what I come here for, yummy. Come check them out!!

If you are in forest hills, keuka is the place to go for a date night. Small and intimate but the best service and the best food. Parking is tricky but still worth the trip. I really enjoy the crab and avocado dip, their pizzas and their wine. The bartender and waitress are so friendly, they seem to know all their guests. I cannot say enough good things about this place. A must must must go!

Passed this place many times and wanted to try it. Today my schedule brought me near it & here I am enjoying a great, fresh, tasty, healthy & well presented lunch. The wine list is extensive - east coast, west coast, Chile, Italy, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, South Africa, Nee Zealand, Austria, Greece, Portugal... My lunch - 1/2 portion of the metropolitan sandwich (I opted to have it hot) and beets salad was delicious. The service was great. Will definitely return.

It's been a while since I've been at any form of a bar, let alone a wine bar. This was the perfect place to meet some friends I haven't seen since before the New Year. Keuka Kafe was the best way to get reintroduced to the scene. Small but cozy spot right off or Queens Blvd. Parking is so tricky here but if you get lucky, there is some residential streets in the area as well as metered. I walked in and the bartender immediately greeted me. When I said I was expecting 2 other people to meet me, she automatically came out from behind the bar to pull together two tables. Well she did this after checking my ID and Vax Card. After asking for recommendations, she was super knowledgeable about the menu and we settled on a glass of Bordeaux. It was full of body and not too bold. I was happy. My friends came in shortly after my glass of wine was poured and we continued to order more wine and some dishes to share around the table. We settled on a meat and cheese board, the crab avocado toast and the Howard Beach pizza. Everything was outstanding and went great with my glass of wine. It's also restaurant week so they also had a price-fixed menu that for $39 you get a three course meal (there is also a 2 course lunch for $29). A huge shoutout goes to the bartending who also waited on tables. What a freaking rockstar! Finally I have to say the place is super clean, including the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, there was a sign that said if you come one Tuesday, it's "Turntable Tuesday" where you can bring a vinyl record and they would play it for you. It looked like they already had a sick collection of vinyls to begin with too. The bartender said they hadn't done it in a while, but my friends and I are determined to bring it back!

Beautiful, small, cozy wine bar located on Queens Blvd. The bartender/ server was friendly and made some good recommendations. The Chicken Tagine was so tender and flavorful, the pasta with meatballs was just spot on to perfection. Everything about this place is amazing.. Would definitely return here.

"Every wine on the list was very carefully chosen," (Keuka owner Ollie) Sakhno said. "The only reason we chose them was their taste." - this is quote taken from a DNA Info article written about Keuka Kafe back when they opened in 2013. I liked the way he said that. It's also what he's NOT saying. He's not saying that the wines here are chosen because they are "award winning", have a high rating in Wine Spectator, or they taste of rich earthy soil, and minerality, etc... basically any of the pretentious B.S. that usually goes along with wine. It seems simply they are saying: we enjoy this and you probably will as well. And I did... very much. I felt very comfortable here in the cozy space named after one of the many Finger Lakes in upstate NY - a region established in producing great tasting wines and notably Rieslings, which I am a fan especially dry ones. They have a large selection of wines including other regions. Beers on tap, ciders and spiked seltzers. The oysters I had here were the best I had all summer - buttery and juicy hit perfectly with their mignonette. Mussels were fresh and specialty here that comes with plenty of toasted bread slices to soak up, in our case, garlicky Riesling sauce - so good! They were kind to split the lobster cobb salad onto two plates - I enjoy this. The one miss for me was the Keuka pizza, which I felt the crust was underdone - thin and floppy, but the toppings were browned (I saw the pictures on here that looked like better versions), but still.. pizza is like sex, even when its bad its still pretty good. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, but it wasn't actually that (when we got the bill we saw it listed as Crème Vanille (Almond cake, Vanille Bavaroise, vanilla Creme Brulee, vanilla cake) while it was tasty it was unexpected. A French press of coffee was given to us that had way more than we could possibly drink if we expected to sleep that night. haha Our server was Kat (I hope I recall her name correctly) and she was so cool, informative and made us feel at home. I saw the owner Ollie hanging around the bar talking with other customers if he wasn't in the kitchen making our, and other customer's delicious food. 5 stars for this place despite not being perfect I still walked away feeling like it kinda was.

$14 half sandwich and salad lunch special
    Christopher N.

Was in the neighborhood and looked at Yelp for suggestions on a nice restaurant for lunch. Keuka cafe had positive reviews and was close by so I thought why not! Opted for the lunch special which came with half of a sandwich and a salad. I had the "King of the Kessel" which I believe had prosciutto, turkey, and cheese with a basil Mayo. The basil Mayo made the sandwich! I think the crispy prosciutto was kinda minimal though, wish there was more. The salad which had strawberries and goat cheese was also refreshing and tasty. A nice light lunch for a good price. Would return again if I'm in the area and looking for a reasonably priced lunch!

While deciding where to go one day, this was suggested and im so glad I went. The restaurant is cozy with tables inside the main dining room and in an enclosed outdoor seating area. Im guessing it opens in the summer. I sat down with my niece while waiting for my sister and for a good 5-7 minutes, no one stopped by and gave a menu nor offered water. Finally after about 3 people walked by not saying anything, someone came. The area is not that big and 7 minutes isnt that long but to sit there any not be addressed by all the staff walking by was annoying. Finally my sister came and we were offered water and a menu. After hearing about the specials and asking for recommendations, we settled on the gnocchi (housemade potato gnocchi, burrata, peas, pesto sauce, toasted pine nuts), Pappardelle alla Bolognese (housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce), and side of sautéed spinach. The food arrived and we were pleasantly delightful by the main. The gnocchi was so soft and creamy, the sauce was delicious. Im not a fan of gnocchi but this was so good. The papardelle was my meal and it was also so good. There was a lot of pasta and a good amount of meat sauce. It was also delicious. The spinach on the other hand was bland. It has no flavor and we had to add some salt. A few times we tried to call someone over to our table but felt like no one was paying attention. When we were done with our meals, my sister had a few pieces of gnocchi left. She asked for a box as it was to be my nieces lunch for tomorrow. I then said, can you also box up the spinach. A few minutes later, the server dropped off a bag with one container and said here's the spinach. We tried to call his attention but he was already walking away. Where was the gnocchi. Finally when we came back, we asked about it and he said oh I thought it was garbage. I said no we asked for it to be boxed. He said let me talk to the kitchen. He came back and said sorry, they cant do anything but one dessert will be on me. I guess thats fine but we more wanted the food for the baby. For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and pistachio gelato. The tiramisu was in a jar as opposed to a cake slice. One bite of the ice cream and I knew it was bad. It was grainy and sandy texture. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious. The sides and desserts could use work. Service was alright. Id definitely come back for the food and to try some of the pizza.

I hate to say it but as good as the steak was, the roasted potatoes was the star of show. The potatoes were amazing. Pappardelle alla Bolognese- housemade ribbon pasta, meat sauce.
